Having just upgraded to CS2 after years of using Photoshop 7 I am finding that when I try to move or nudge a selection with the keybord arrows (R-L-Up-Down) nothing happens,I end up using my mouse which is a pain and not very accurate in some cases. I'm on a new Dell with XPPro and have tried 3 different keybords with the same result.

I draw a line, then another line (to represent the bend of the arrow), and then I add a customed shaped arrow head. It just seems that there should be an easier way. I know Fireworks MX has a feature that lets you draw such an arrow with the greatest of ease. Does Photoshop have something similar?

I somehow can't get it done with the pen tool. I know many of you would make this in a few seconds. How would you go about doing it ??.

I have tried making 3 arrows but they all look weird.
I'm stuck at doing a simple task with Photoshop CS2. I have a JPEG with many mountains in it that I want to label (name and height). So I use the text tool to create the names+heights labels and then I want to attach an arrow for each one. So I use the line option from the shape tool to do this.
Problem is that it will draw the arrow, but there's no option to confirm it, so when I draw the next arrow the previous one is erased. So how can I confirm the arrow so that the next one can be drawn?
I have to make some arrows to point items in certain photos I use for model airplane kit instructions. I haven't been able to change the colour of the arrows. I need them mostly white. What can I do?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using photoshop CS6 since it came out of beta, and I've been happy with 99% of the interface changes, except for some of the the new tool cursors which now have arrows in the upper left corner. I've been meaning to post this a while ago, but it seemed that the forums were offline.
Â
One example is the crop tool, but what mainly hinders me are the lassos and paint bucket cursor icons. Is there any way I can replace those with the original ones from cs5 and prior?
Â
When you pick up a tool, and it has an icon of an object (i.e. a lasso), your instinct is to look at and use the tip of that object, not some little black arrow in a corner.
For example, you wouldn't want to have an arrow next to your text cursor, or next to your magic wand cursor, would you? You'd want to use the tip of the wand.
Â
I'm not sure what part of the user community suggested these little arrows be added on those tools, but I find it to be a bad design idea. And it's an annoying choice imo, beacause it doesn't make sense from an interaction design point of view, and not because it would be hard for me to get wrid of my habit of using the tip of the lasso, and to get used to the arrow instead. It's bad, because now, there are two conflicting pointers in the same tool: the icon tip and the arrow tip.
Â
[EDIT] I'm sure people will say that they prefer the new design, arguing about "design consistency" and whatnot. So this is why I ask if there's a way for me to replace the cursors in my photoshop, not everyone's.
The double arrowhead to toggle between two and single columns is missing. There is a double horizontal line at the top instead. The double arrowhead at the top of the panel bin window to change view is also misssing. How can I bring these controls back into view?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to be able to occasionally add figures such as circles, arrows etc into my Videostudio Pro X3 project, a little bit like the graphics toolbar in Microsoft Word.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was working on a project and the next thing I realized was when I right clicked on my object to either move, rotate or scale it, the arrows that are suppose to pop up don't. I have to end up going into my other windows to move or rotate my objects, or scale it. how in the world I can get my objects to work correctly? Here's an example of what I'm trying to explain. To rotate an object, you right click on the object and click rotate. When you do this, there are suppose to be circles that pop up around your object for the xy, and z axises. They don't show up. When you choose move, there are suppose to be arrows for all 3 axises that show up so you can move your mouse over them to move the object in any direction, those don't show up. When you click on scale, a small scale for all 3 axises are suppose to show up so you can scale it in any direction. Those don't show up. This is making working on my movie project a really big pain in the butt.

View 14 Replies View Relatedin this last release of 3DsMax design is present yet the issue with the viewport clipping.
If i pass perspective to top to left and to perspective, etc. the arrows of viewport clipping "exploding", and i must recalibrate il clipping every time.
It was already present in the 2013 release...everyone has this problem.
Ps: beautiful work with the viewport navigation!
By some setting or default, when I dimension a diameter in Autocad 2010, I get a dim line that only has one arrow that points to one side of a circle, just like a radius. I'd like the diameter dims to have an arrow on both sides of circles.
I've been through the settings in Dimstyles. and didn't find a combination that made the desired change. I've looked at the properties for a specific diameter dimension and found nothing that worked there. I looked into block modifications using BEDIT and Properties, but I found nothing there either. While I may have overlooked a combination of changes in Properties, I tried a lot in there.
I'm trying to find the best solution in Illustrator 5.5 to reproduce the attached picture below. I keep focus on the arrows only and I want to keep the controllability (number of arrows for instance) as long as possible. What I did is as follows and is quite limited:
Â
1 - I create a stroke with no arrowhead
2 - I multiply it and translate it along x by using the transform effect (Effect, Distort and Transform, Transform...)
3 - I use the Free Transform tool to adapt the length of each stroke
4 - I then expand the appearance of the objects and add an arrowhead to every stroke.
Â
I'd like to have the arrowheads created in step 1 and I would like to keep control of the transform effect until the end.
I just bought CS6 and upgraded to Mac 10.8.3. I don't know which is the culprit, but my arrows in Ilustrator will no longer nudge anything.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't like that you have to wait for the previews to build in Lightroom 5. Lightroom 4 had a way around this which really works when you have large libraries.

I also liked how you could use the keyboard arrows during the slideshow in LR 4 to go back to a previous image / set of images shown in the slideshow.
