I'm working on a website for our facility and I'm trying to put an animated .gif flag on the flagpole in a .jpg. I have no problem getting the .gif image on there it's just that the .gif won't animate when I save the picture and add it to my web page.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just recently found out about the "Adding Notes" feature in CS5. I was able to add notes. However, when I saved the photo as a jpeg, and then re-opened it -the notes were not there.
Am I doing something wrong or will notes only re-appear when the photo file is saved to a psd or tif?
ok, I need some help. When I make a sig it just looks like I went off to google and slaped a render(picture of something) onto my sig (which I don't, I use planetrenders but thats beside the point). I want to know how I can make the image I want on my sig to blend in more....

All the books start with lessons that assume you have several images (layers) under the Layers tab. I've read all sorts of tutorials, but I stilll can't figure out the most basic of things. I'm sure the answer is simple but I just can't get it to work and it's frustrating.
I understand what layering is, but I can't add layers. I can make a dublicate layer out of the background, but when I add a new layer it is always the same checkboard sheet. I can't figure out how to change it, how to add layers made from other images.
Every time I access another image to get another layer, my previous layer of the previous image has always disappeared from my layers palette. I've tried locking them, I've tried organizing them by putting them in sets,
I've tried many different options but I just cannot get 2 layers of 2 different images on at the same time in my layers palette., so I can link them and merge them. What am I doing wrong ?
I'm trying to create a shadow but I'd like to make it so it appears like it's in 3D. The shadows utility under Layer Style makes a shadow as if the object would be floating on top of the other layer. But what if I would like to make it appear as if it would be touching the other layer at one point. For example a ball on a table or a person standing up on the grass.

The style I am pulling from an editorial CD is called Plastic Chrome, it is an ASL file.
I copied the style file into the "C:Program FilesAdobePhotoshop 7.0PresetsStyles" folder where my photoshop is located. However I cannot find the style anywhere in photoshop.
Did I apply the style correctly to photoshop?
How do I copy this style into photoshop so I can find it in order to use it?
It is a simple layer style that gives a plastic chrome look, don't know how to apply it correctly.
I've just made the transition from PS2 to CS3.
I used to move the ABR files to the Brush folder in the Adobe PS Program files, and then they would be accessible from the brush palette in the program. In CS3, I move them to the same place and due to the different interface, I can't find how to access them. Recently however, about 20 of the 60 brush sets have appeared in a random drop down menu.

when I try to add English text to the dialogue balloons, the text remains the same size as it was in the full-size image, even though I've set the character size to 8 points in the character options box. The only way I know of to get around this is to add the text to the full-size image, which is a cumbersome, time-consuming process, or reduce the character size to something like 1.5 points, which produces roughly the text size I'm after.
when I open an image and latter decide to change the sky how do I bring in the second as when I try it it changes the original image to the new one.

I draw a line, then another line (to represent the bend of the arrow), and then I add a customed shaped arrow head. It just seems that there should be an easier way. I know Fireworks MX has a feature that lets you draw such an arrow with the greatest of ease. Does Photoshop have something similar?

i created my first sig and wanted to add some texture to it and was wondering how, below are the texture and my sig.
Also, maybe im missing something but how do you copy and paste in photoshop as a select the image, right clip and copy or cut layer but nothing seems to happen.
I'm using Photoshop CS2 on Windows and I can't apply filters to my images- even though they are 16 bit images. I can only apply these filter options:
Liquify
Vanishing point
Blur -> All blurs except Smart Blur
Distort -> Lens Correction
Noise -> All options
Render -> Fiber, Lens Flare
Sharpen -> All options
Stylize -> Emboss, Find Edges, Solarize
Video -> All options
Other -> All options
Is there some option I'm supposed to select?
I've got drop shadows on layers to help accentuate the edges, which is working fine. However, many of the lines overlap and when the shadows go over the top of each other they tend to "multiply" and get darker as they overlap.
I've tried changing the blending modes from multiply, to normal to ?. Do to I go about not getting the shadows to build up?
In CS2 I installed a bunch of actions I downloaded: copied the atn files to Presets>Photoshop Actions.
Now I have CS3. I copied the atn files to Presets>Actions, but they don't display in the dialog when I try to install the actions from the Actions pain in CS3.
