View 6 RepliesPhotoshop CC Extensions menu is greyed out. I cannot select event that menu.
The extensions installed successfully in Extension Manager CC, no errors. I even tried uninstalling and trying just 1... no dice. I've reinstalled Extension Manager CC without success as well.
A few of those extensions are scripts and those are available through the File > Scripts just fine, but the Extensions are not. I have no issue at home using them, but here on my work computer I cannot access them at all.
In Photoshop CC, I cannot even click on the Extensions menu, not even the Exchange is available which is built in:
I uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop CC and reinstalled the plugins and I still have the same issue. No error messages, it's just not selectable.
I am Using Adobe PhotoShop CS6, Trying to Make what's on THIS Tutorial & Following Instructions from Steps 1-3.

When It Comes to Step 4, Filter > Distort is Unselectable.
I don't get it: my old CS2 has PS with texture filter that actually is there, while my PS5 app shows an unselectable "texture" in filters. WHAT IS WITH THAT? I feel ripped - off now that I need to use it in this project.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter recent update (CC) the feature which was allowing the invisible layers (turned off by "eye" icon) to be not selectable by Move Tool is gone. So when one have a web page design with 300 layers and 3 states in groups and you decide to deactive some of them (make them invisible) you can still select them. So overall it makes imposible to selecet anything. You must do it manualy on the Layers pannel.
See image below - so instead of selecting only visible layers (like in previous versions) now onet is forced to select every possible layers so in most cases all present layers in the file.
I'm trying to set the scale of my picture in CS6 but everytime I got to analysis -- set measurement scale I can't select it! I need it to make scale bars on my fluorescent pics so I can finish my thesis. I have CS6 (64x) from creative suite 6 design standard that I got from my school. The picture is .tiff file 24 bit
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am not new in Photoshop but I never had to do this before and it seams to be less straight forward than I expected.
I have a PSD file containing some graphics and some text. I want to export it in PDF and I want that the text in the PDF can be selectable for an easy copy and paste. Is that possible? All the PDFs I can save contain text as imagine and not as selectable text. How to solve this?
I am using Photoshop CS6 for OSX.
I'm having two related issues. Currently running CS4 on OSX.
1. I've exported my project as a pdf. Some of the text is not selectable at all. That is, the cursor won't even highlight the text in the pdf file.
2. Some of the text that is selectable when copied and pasted to another document gives me all sorts of crazy looking characters (none of which I recognize.
I can't believe this is still an issue in CS6. When you have multiple text layers stacked near or in between each other, its impossible to lock the layer so that it can no longer be selected. Even if the layer is locked, the TYPE tool is still able to select it. This makes its a super pain in the tail to edit text near each other. Is there a way to make the text layers lock and NOT be selectable?
Instead of locking a layer and not being able to select it with the type tool, a pop-up telling us that its locked come up?
I am trying to import into photoshop but the export/import options on the drop down menu arent selectable.

When I want to cut an item out of an image, I create a mask on the image's layer and paint out everything except the item I want to keep. Something has changed and I can no longer select that remaining item in the layer after I've applied the layer mask and essentially painted out everything else.
For instance if I wanted an apple cut out of a tree, I would paint everything in black except that apple, which remains white in the mask. After applying the mask to the layer, I should be able to click in the empty space around the apple wtih my magic wand tool and have it make a perfect selection around that apple, yet the magic wand tool is still picking up the leaves, branches, etc. Even though I've painted them out and applied the mask, essentially deleting them, and all I can see is the grey and white checkerboard grid behind the apple.
This is Photoshop CS6 and it was working fine before. Did I change something without realizing it?
I have an object in model space. but in layout i can see a portion of the object profile as duplicate away from actual object. As i close and reopen the file it disappears. What could be the cause?
View 2 Replies View RelatedDWG has viewports on layout tabs, but the viewports are not visible. The viewport can be open, edited as established, but if you pan or zoom, the paperspace layout moves and not model space. In model space, viewport frame does not highlight.
All layers on, unfrozen, and plottable.
Have done extensive internet search to find soution, found others with same problem, have found no one with a solution.
Not extremely CAD literate, basically self taught, but until this problem, I've been knowledgeable and resourceful solving problems.
I have an imported svg file that I've saved to Illustrator 17.1. I can't seem to change the layer colors (they're all the same light blue) - the only options that come up in the Layer Options dialog are checkboxes for Lock and Show. Oddly, duplicating a layer seems to give the new layer a different color, but again I can't set the color of that layer myself.
Really want to be able to do this, as I use layer colors to track their status (red = not even close to done, yellow = in progress, green = done in MY eyes, blue = done in the CUSTOMER's eyes).
In ACAD 2013 When selecting a block that is xclipped the xclip boundary is visible as a dashed, editable line. The editable dashed line is also selectable even though it is not visible when the block is not selected.
Is there a way to turn off the selectablity of the xclip boundary, so that I am not selecting blocks when I click near the xclip boundary limits even when I have my XCLIPFRAME set to 0 and the boundary is not visible?
Not sure what causes a page setup already created and previously used to not be able to be selected at a later time. When selecting it, it reverts back to <none>. Does this mean the plotter changed/is not available? The network name for the plotter did not change, but the model of the plotter changed slightly. I have the same setup saved in 100's of drawings and assumed that as long as the network name for the plotter remained the same, the setup would continue to work.

We want to be able to lock the xref inplace and make it not selectable?
We currently have a drawing with several thousand groups. For some reason (I think it's got to do with copy and pasting) there are a lot of groups which are not selectable anymore. I know I can use the grouping dialogue to turn unselectable groups to selectable. However, as I mentioned, there are several thousand groups to filter through.
Is there a way to gobally change all group properties to selectable?
I'm working with some drawings (from others) that have some points that aren't selectable by node (although I can draw a line by points). I've isolated it to the Point Style. Trouble is, I can't seem to find anything out of the ordinary when I go to those settings.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAt a point I want to unlock all layers where the objects are selectable (layers unfrozen and turned on).
If I have the script initiate the layer command then there is the select options list and "u" is for unlock. It then wants a layer name or return to select items. Here is where the problem is when i'm in control I can just hit return to select the items and just select all, but when the script is running it skips my space for a return and goes to the next all statement and errors saying not a valid option. Is there a way to force that return to select the objects?
I key in "Crtl A" and this selects ALL objects/entities that exist, however some of these objects/entities are not visible nor are they selectable. How can I run a "Crtl A" and once ALL objects/entities get highlighted and their grips are displayed .. How can i remove the ones that are outside of my drawing extents.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just drew a polyline on my defpoints layer, but now the polyline is not selectable. I have had this happen before with a different file and couldn't fix it then either.
All the settings/layer states look fine, but as soon as I add something to the defpoints layer it's untouchable.

A co-worker scanned a photo and emailed it to me to edit it and try to improve it, but everything I want to do is grayed out so I can't select it and I can't figure out why. Maybe it has to do with how she scanned it?
It's CMYK, 300 dpi, and 8 bit.
I'd like to sharpen it and adjust the hue/saturation, but they're grayed out.
why this is happening and how I can work around this so I can make the changes I need to make?
When selecting a sub menu from within a main drop down menu the arrow points to the right but the actual sub menu pops up on the left in most cases. I have only noticed this recently and wonder if I have inadvertently messed up a setting as in the past I cant recall this being so but I don't use the editor a lot so may be mistaken.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have made gridlines and put them on a locked layer. I want to be able to see them and snap to them, but I don't want to select them. Their selectability is hindering my ability to select objects on other layers. Is there any way to make lines on locked layers not selectable? (I don't like the Autocad standard grid.)
