How the new text tool functions and lacks the ability to select text and scroll through the fonts and see how that font looks on the text.
I'm still having massive issues trying to figure out what fonts to use, at first I was all for the new method of applying text to the image but now I'm finding it a real pain. I have over 1500 fonts to browse when trying to create text. Without a preview mode where I can scroll through the fonts, the entire process turns into a tedious nightmare.
Is there a plug in or add on... or a undocumented method to get the X2 functionality of being able to scroll through the fonts and see how it looks on the text?
If not, I am uninstalling X3 and either moving to photoshop or going back to X2. Its too much of a pain to keep clicking back and forth font by font - one by one.
I have Paint Shop Pro X4. I File/Open a .PSPIMAGE file and I get a Replace Font window telling me I am missing Font: BETSY.
I went to a download site [URL] and downloaded a Font called BETSY FLANAGAN which appears to be the font I need.
In the dropdown box for the Replace font, I search and find the BETSY FLANAGAN font I downloaded to the FONTS Folder. When I insert it, the text where it is used comes out odd. I have the original jpeg file, so I know the font is not the same. Is BETSY FLANAGAN the same as the missing BETSY font?
URL where I can download the correct font for free?
Some open fonts have extras for some characters and all. How are those accessible in PSP? I found a tutorial for Photoshop but i cannot see where, in PSP, those features can be accessed. Here is the video: URL....
Any way to get those fun extras from Open Fonts when they have them?
In PSP 8, if I have many text entries within a single vector layer, all with same font size and type, is there a way to change the font size for all of them at once?
I have added 9pt vector text in multiple places of an image. Now I realize it should have been 8pt. I can add new text as 8pt but cant figure out how to change the point size of vector text that is already on the image. If I select a vector text object and then change the point size on the "Size" drop down menu at the top nothing happens. If I right click the vector object and select Edit Text I can change the actual text but not the font or its size. If I right-click the vector object and select Properties I can change stroke, fill, line style etc but this window does not include font or size. How do I change the font and point size for existing vector text objects?
Just came upon an error I had not seen before. Though PSP no longer supports Animation Shop, up until PSP X4, the user has been able to export frames back to PSP from Animation Shop. Now, this no longer works! There's still some communication there, because an error message - which, incidentally, makes absolutely no sense at all - is generated in PSP X4:
I installed PSP X4 today on a new PC with Windows 7 and noticed that it has no Animation Shop. Can I install Animation Shop to this machine? Will it work without PSP 9 or does it need certain dlls from PSP 9 ? I really want to be able to use Animation Shop again.
if is possible to create the paint drips in the attached design. I really want to learn how to create urban designs, is corel paint shop x3 suitable for that?
I want to use the paint brush for editing a photo I have, but the only color available is black. No matter where I've looked in PSP, there was no option to change the color of the paint brush. I've read online that you need to change the pallet to material pallet, then go to "Foreground & Stroke Properties" and set the color box to the color I want, but the only colors I get are different hues of black and gray.
Even in Paint it's just a matter of clicking the desired color to use different colors. Why isn't it so simple in PSP?
I tried Nexus font (finally) and don't see why people have mentioned it. I don't like it and uninstalled it quickly.Which font manager do you think is better than Font Nav?
I am making stereoscopic 3D videos with After Effects. Setting up the rig and rendering work fine, but sometimes the video's convergence is off and I need to make adjustments. I was wondering if there's a way to view the Composition with my 3D glasses before rendering. I'm using an Asus VG248QE monitor with an NVIDIA 3D Vision 2 glasses.
when I select 'save for web and devices' and try to preview my images in the browser, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The problem has only recently started though I've never changed any of the settings.
My project is 11-minutes long. There is a lag of around 10-seconds when I am on the timeline and hit <space> or press [>] on the preview control. It wasn't like this when I started the project earlier today.
This a new computer with fresh install of Photoshop. When she chooses Print with Preview and sets up all the parameters within the dialogue, and finally clicks print, the job goes straight to the printer (Epson 1440). She told me that on the old computer it would produce a preview as indicated and she could check colors, sizing, etc, before sending the job to print.
I've gone through and can't see any changes to be made that would enable this feature.
Why does a previewed website come out at only 1/2 the screen size using Xara Designer Pro 6? I am viewing on a 1920x1080 widescreen and have used the template supplied by Xara.
I have a lot of cad drawings to choose from before entering them into my drawing and they are quite large, I was wondering what is the preferred method to previewing thumbnails before inserting them.
My ideal scenario would be to be able to open up windows explorer and cycle through large thumbnails of the drawings before having to open them which can be time consuming.
I know you can preview in the open file dialog box from the cad menu but the previews are small and hard to distinguish sometimes. I'm seeking an alternative I suppose.
I get this error message every once and a while when it changes to outlines and I try to switch back to preview mode. I just added 16gb to my hard drive this month so there should be any issue of memory space on my computer.
I have Illustrator CS5. HP workstation with an intel xeon cpu. 64 bit 12 GB of RAM.
I never had this problem before, but in the past few days this message keeps coming up, and converts the files to outline mode. It's happening to all kinds of illustrator files ranging is size from 2MB to 56MB, from simple drawings with gradient fills, to complex drawings with mesh. In most of the files, I'm working with vector images that I didn't create, but purchased from stock photo sites.
I would like to know how to do to preview sound in AE without RAM previewing all the clip I'm working on. I have a clip of 3 mins and I need to preview it all from the begining to modify something at 2min45.
I made orange letters in a font sized 142. But when I made a new layer and then made white letters to put on top of the orange ones--I also use font size 142, but it was smaller than the orange font. So I couldn't put it one top of the other letters for the 3-D look.
It's close, but not quite close enough to fit as it should. Do the differing colors make a difference in how the font of the same size is different? Or is it using different layers?
Currently I show the smallest font size as being 8. Is there any way to get a smaller font? Sometimes it just isn't small enough for what I want to do.
The other thing is that in some cases.. I need a size in between the two that are listed.. for instance 72 is too small and 84 is too big, say to match an existing font that I am trying to match.
I use VS Pro X4 sporadically, but I seem to recall that when previewing my work before burning a DVD, I was able to see my chapter's/menu's that I created - in the Adding/Editing Chapter option. I would then click on their remote control and select/test out my "links" before burning a disc. I must be doing something wrong because when I choose Preview, my main screen custom menu doesn't appear.
If I play around a bit, I can select "Top Menu" on the remote and click a number - which brings me to the chapter (but again, I can see my main menu/chapter screen - the screen that would appear when someone loads my DVD to play it).
i've just installed CS3 and when i right click on an image in a folder and go to 'preview' it opens up photoshop. it should just display the image like it did when i had CS. anyone else had this problem? know a solution? if there is none, does anyone know a good piece of preview software i could use instead?
I'm working with AutoCAD 2012 x64 and I need a control to view DWG files selected in my ListView. I tried using DWG True View 2013 and it worked well, but this is more than my requirement. My requirement is to simply show a preview of the drawing. But DWGTrue View is an advance control and is not standalone i.e. Users have to download and install its full installer.
This might require some customization to code in order to fix TOP View and do a Zoom Extent: Currently not succeeded.
I also seek using DWGThumnailviewer.ocx referenced in this post but unfortunately, I couldn't find DWGThumnailViewer.ocx with AutoCAD 2012. I guess it was discontinued.
Other option could be to generate a raster graphic file (*.jpg, *.gif, *.png, *.bmp) and display that into a picture box. I tried some code from this thread and this one but at some small dwg files, it is unable to read bytes.
Recently, I restarted my MAC and I'm not able to place images in AI or open AI files with images. Sometimes when I do place a jpg, it just shows a box.
Some errors include: • This file is not readable. • Can't open the illustration. • Can't finish previewing. Could not complete the requested operation.
I am considering a computer with a Radeon HD 7670M 1GB GDDR5, I believe. Will this be sufficient for previewing HD video without more than, say, 5 seconds of lag?
P.S. I think previewing is mainly GPU-based, but if needed, I am running the Intel i5 3570 processor.
