View 1 RepliesI bought X2 Ultimate when it was available and X3 ultimate as well. When X4 was released, I purchased the normal version.
Is it possible to use some of the extras from X2 ultimate and X3 ultimate under X4? I try installing looks pro and it tells me that I don't have paintshop pro installed.
While installing Pro X5 the screen came up with options to download things like extra frames and picture tubes. I did not download everything at the time. How/where can I get back to that to download whatever I had not so far.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSome open fonts have extras for some characters and all. How are those accessible in PSP? I found a tutorial for Photoshop but i cannot see where, in PSP, those features can be accessed. Here is the video: URL....
Any way to get those fun extras from Open Fonts when they have them?
There are three "plug-in extras" menu items in various places (one in file, one in library and one in help) in the library mode. Do they have different functions?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI would like to add some Plugins to PSPPX3, I read/understand i should add the Plug-ins path at Preferences>File Location>Plug-ins - But there is no such option or Preferences>Workspace>Plug-ins - Same story
There was also no Plug-ins map or Workspace map in: C:Program FilesCorelCorel PaintShop Photo ProX3PSPClassicLanguagesNL
I installed PSPPX3 today, and i updated it and downloaded patch 1-4. How / where to install plugins?
I've just installed PSPx6, downloaded and installed updates. I'm using the 64 bit version and it will not load any plug-ins. I've set the file locations etc.
I've been using PSP since version 7, so I'm pretty capable. This is really making me angry though. It's a useless program to me if it won't utilize my Dreamsuite, KPT, Filters Unlimited, Plaid lite, and Muras copies.
I am the author of PTLens, software for correcting lens distortion.
[URL]
The software functions by reading EXIF data and, based on this information, determines the camera, lens, and focal length, and automatically corrects lens distortion.
The plug-in is compatible with Photoshop on both the Mac and PC. Unfortunately, EXIF data is not available for plug-ins under PSP. Without EXIF data the user must manually enter camera make, model, lens, and lens focal length. This is a bit onerous for users with zoom lenses.
Work at your end, assuming you have access to a pointer to EXIF data, is trivial. I estimate less than one hour of developer time. As a result, users will have access to automatic correction for distortion via the PTLens plug-in.
I am willing to work with a developer on your end to see this feature implemented in your software.
Technical information follows.
.
intptr_t simpProp;
Handle compProp;
int32 rc;
[Code]....
A call to getProperty returns zero, indicating all is okay. But a call to getSize returns zero, indicating no EXIF data. I tried a different approach. A PSP script, to obtain EXIF data, was successful. But there is no way to pass this information to a plug-in.
Setting an environment variable in the script, and reading the variable in the plug-in, won't work because I need to set an environment variable in a parent process. This is not permitted.
Writing a file from the script, and then reading it back in the plug-in, doesn't work because the script is running in a protected environment where writing files is not allowed.
The Tone Mapping tool in X4 has changed from previous versions. In X4 there are two sliders (Strength & Block Size)
The Help File is no different than what was found in X3 and doesn't mention Block Size. What this slider does?
We're trying to change the blue brush stroke below, to orange while retaining the textures: [URL]
- The attached pic is the closest we've gotten by luck: [URL]
- we'd like to do away with the darker colors
- and we'd like to actually know what we're doing and be able to repeat it
The orange pic was done on photoshop (not on my computer). how I got to the result. Is this possible on paint.net (the only kind of software installed on my computer)
How do i add plugins and how do i use them my topic may of been removed .
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a user in my group that is hesitant to upgrade to 2012 because , he has many lisp routines that are associated with the PREVIOUS selection feature. This selection is very useful in that when you are moving or selecting many objects you can enter P for previous and the object will be selected.
In 2009, when you select objects then hit escape, then try to execute a command requesting to use the Previous, AutoCAD will remember the last selected object and then highlight it.
In 2012, when you select objects then hit escape, then try to execute a command using P for previous, it will not highlight the previous object selected but will highlight the previous object where a command was executed on.
Hope I haven't lost you. It seems there should be a setting under SELECTION of how to manipulate the Previous selection feature.
This is probably a frequently asked question, but doing some searching turned up nothing. I have Paint.net on one computer, and I'm setting it up on another. Is there a way of getting a list of all the plugins I've installed on the previous one, so I can install them on the new one? In poking around, I haven't been able to find a thing that lists all the extras I've installed.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis happens only occasionally. I have a file open in PP5. I resample the image -- reduce the physical size from, in this case, 53 inches to 8 inches high, and increase resolution from 72 to 300 dpi, with the resulting file size smaller than the original. I save the file, then import into my layout in Coreldraw. The imported file is back to 72 dpi and the physical size is huge. I reopen the file in PP, resample again, and resave under a new file name. Same problem occurs when I import into Draw. Of course, I can physically shrink the file to 3 inches high and the resulting dpi will be 300.

However, once I lift the pen off the tablet and try to continue my work, inevitably I end up going over some of the previous strokes, and where the strokes overlap, the value of the paint doubles, creating a nasty blotchy effect.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust came upon an error I had not seen before. Though PSP no longer supports Animation Shop, up until PSP X4, the user has been able to export frames back to PSP from Animation Shop. Now, this no longer works! There's still some communication there, because an error message - which, incidentally, makes absolutely no sense at all - is generated in PSP X4:

View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to use the paint brush for editing a photo I have, but the only color available is black. No matter where I've looked in PSP, there was no option to change the color of the paint brush. I've read online that you need to change the pallet to material pallet, then go to "Foreground & Stroke Properties" and set the color box to the color I want, but the only colors I get are different hues of black and gray.
Even in Paint it's just a matter of clicking the desired color to use different colors. Why isn't it so simple in PSP?
I'm using CS5, and for some unknown reason a few weeks ago a line started appearing around elements in my photoshop files - whenever I click on any layer in a .ps document, the perimeter of that layer is outlined. I figured out that I can type Command+H to make it disappear, but it only happens for that moment. The next moment when I click on another layer, the outline appears again, and it keeps appearing for any layer I clicked on (including the one I had just previously high Command+H for).
View 1 Replies View Relatedif there are any packs out for like photoshop extras, for extra filters or something? Cause my girlfriends says her school uses 8.0, same as her version, but there more options under filter>digimarc. My 9.0 only has the two watermark options so I'm wondering whats up.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEverytime I open PS and a picture 'Extras' is enabled (view).
I must press CTRL + H to remove this everytime.
How can I make this NOT on default?
A friend of mine installed "live update" on my pc with the result that every time I opened Photoshop, it would check for new updates on the web. I meanwhile rid myself of that program, but am now stuck with this: Every time I open a new file, it comes with a blue dotted line around it and two little symbols in the upper left. I can make it disappear by unclicking "View Extras" or using keyboard shortcut ctrl-H but as soon as I open another image, it's back and it's driving me nuts! I am using Version 7.0 and I assume it came with an update because it didn't happen in the beginning. I've looked through the "preferences" menu and checked Photoshop Help without any results. how to make this dissapear?
View 3 Replies View RelatedA designer sent me some great logos. But she left grid lines on. I can get rid of them temporary (hide extras), but not permanently. Tomorrow and a year from now, when I open the file, the annoying grids are back. I'm out of ideas. I'd really like to open these files and not see the grid lines.
