What is a VERY good noise filter plugin for X4 or X5? In the past few months I demo's Adobe's Lightroom which had an excellent noise removal capability.. AMAZING really. The problem with Lightroom was NO support for PNG files.. and I have 10's of thousands of them. Many of my images need such a noise filter, and the stock one isn't so hot.

I actually do like using the software and I do like the updates and where it is heading.
I ran into a small problem last night when using the Digital Noise Removal plugin. I was playing with settings and unlinked the Noise Correction sliders and moved them about. Then I tried linking them back and clicked on the Large slider to make further adjustments when a blank alert dialog popped up. I can click the blank button and it disappears and seems to continue work, although the settings barely move. Each time I adjust the Large slider after this I get the same dialog.
A question for the PSPx5 experts. Under Adjust/Digital Noise Removal there is a check box for 'Camera Preset'. I like to use this and have set up a preset for my Nikon D7000. The problem is that if I'm not quick to click the check box, PSPx5 starts to run the noise removal. (It seems as though once started there is no going back. If I start again I get an 'over processed' image). Is there a way of opening Digital Noise Removal with the 'Camera Preset' as the default? Or is the 'Last Used' option using the 'Camera Preset' that I last used? Ideally I would like the 'Camera Preset' box checked all the time.

Since Corel stated pushing some upgrade notices to my PC about X6 I have been getting weird vertical noise bands on my images that had previously been fine.
This appears on RAW, and TIFF in the manage window and the edit window. JPEG images appear to be fine.
I have uploaded a file attachment after much bruh hah hah about image size in dimensions and number of bytes thta shows the problem.
OK, my friend has an iPhone and he has a photo program that let's you select a color (such as red) and take a photo. When it comes out, everything that is normally red will be red, but anything else will be gray (b&w)
Is there a plugin that will allow you to do a post-processing to a photo like this?
I need to generate some decent grain/noise bakground for web page of size 128x128 or similar size.
I found - Grain Generator at [URL] ...... but it does not allow setup a spicle/grain size only 1pixel. I want dirrerent and random sizes from 1x1px up to 4x4px size.
Can it be simply generated in PSP X2/X4 or some good even online generator?
I try to install my NeatImage v6.1 Pro+ Plugin (32 bits version, the only available) on my Corel PSP X6 ultimate (64 bits), as I previously used an old Photoshop version.
So I have placed the "Neatimage.8BF" file into the C:program Files(x86)CorelCorel PaintShop Pro X6PlugInsFRNeatimage directory, but when I start X6 64 bits, the Neatimage plugin does not appear in the "plugins / external Modules" menu list.
Of course the "Perfectly Clear" plugin, provided with X6, that is located in the "C:program Files(x86)CorelCorel PaintShop Pro X6PlugInsFRPerfectlyClearforPSP" directory appears and is operationnel.
BUT I see the Neatimage plugins in the 32 bits version of PSP X6, so maybe the plugin is not installed in the apropriate directory ?
How I could get Neatimage working with X6-64 ? (I run W7 Pro-64bits).
I use a couple plugins fairly frequently in the Edit window and it's tiresome to have to navigate 4-levels deep into a menu each time I want to access them. Can a link/button to plugins be added to a toolbar? Is there another quick way to access plugins?

I have been trying to find a plugin for PSP that will enhance image blow ups. I've just moved over to X4 .
The best one seems to be Alien Skin Blow Up 3 but I can't find out if it is compatible. I did install a copy on X2 recently but it never worked properly, crashing at the end of the render stage. Is that because the plugin is not compatible?
The fact that it installed and worked up to the render output suggests that it is compatible but, maybe not!

What's the analogy to those instructions in PSP? "Batch Process" seems the most likely candidate for "Automate", but there's no Perfect Resize options there.
I understand that X6 will load 8LI plugins, is that correct? How about Panels? I've both pointed PSP to the Perfect Resize directory, as well as copied the plugins into PSP's default plugin directory. No joy in either case. Both programs are x86 & x64 and neither makes a difference.
Are there any logs that may indicate whether the plugin is being loaded, or errors if it's not?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've recently upgraded to PSP X5 and tried to update to the latest nvidia 32 bit DDS Plugin today (this one).
After the installation i copied the "dds.8bi" file in my "PlugInsEN" folder - which worked perfect with previous versions (my latest was from 2011 tho).
When i try to save a DDS file i get the normal DDS export/configuration dialog. When i hit save, i get an error message stating that the plugin causes an access violation (in german: "Plugin hat Zugriffsverletzung verursacht").
That error message appears twice and the file is of course not saved.
I just installed PSP X6 Ultimate 32 bit and the Perfectly Clear Plugin. It works really well part of the time but will often crash saying that Photoshop is not allowing enough memory. I'm using Windows 7 with more than 3 gb of memory. I also have Aftershot Pro running.

I am only using X6 64-bit (no 32-bit installed) and the Face Filter was installed in Program Files (x86) under Reallusion as v3.02 Standard.
When I run it, it runs as a stand-alone program, not as a plug-in.Is this the same for you?

I can't get PS CC to recognize Noiseware (v5) and Portraiture (v2) plugins even after following all of Imagenomic's instructions. I even cleared my PS preferences. The files are in the correct plugins directory, installed as 64 bit as they should be. How do I get PS to recognize they are there and use them? Very frustrating.

View 16 Replies View RelatedWorking on a night shot of a building and processed through ACR7.2 and forgot to reduce the noise - and opened in Photoshop. Went to Filter/Reduce Noise and immediately get wierd banding in the window blinds. This banding is there regardless of the noise reduction settings and could not get it to go away - See attached screen shot of before and after applying the filter. So I went back and opened the file again in ACR7.2 and applied the Noise Reduction there and bingo, noise level dropped and looked good with no banding. Looks like the Noise Reduction capabilities in ACR7.2 are way better than the Noise Reduction filter - but surely the banding should not be there; especially if images do not get processed through Camera RAW.
Running latest version of Photoshop CS6 (latest patches applied), Windows 7 x64 16GB RAM, Intel 4000 with latest drivers installed. Camera file was ACR2 from Canon 5DMKII imported as a DNG file - then opened in ACR 7.2
Before Image Opened in Photoshop before applying the Noise Reduction Filter. After Image in Photoshop after applying the Noise Reduction Filter. Seems like a bug to me .By the way, the screen captures are from the image viewed at 100%.
I just wanted to express my undying love for the Reduce Noise filter. The way it sharpens edges, and gives an overall surreal feel to an image.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIf you see the face iv used a smooth brush and its bringing out all these noise spots. If i try to darken a background its totally unusable. Iv never had these presets and brushes do this but the last 2 sessions iv had massive issues, Its happening on pics which i wouldnt think would have issues and have never had issues before. Lightroom 4 had none of these problems.
