View 5 RepliesI've used Lightroom 3, 4 and now 5 so I know my way around the software pretty well. Never had an issue like this in previous LR versions. Basically, when I Spot Edit a spot (such as a speck of dust that was on the sensor or lens) there is alway s a "ghost" of the speck that remains, no matter what I do. The Opacity is set to 100, yet the tool behaves as if it is set to 90. It happens with Clone and Heal. I have also tried adjusting the Feather setting, to no avail.

Apparently he wrote (using an editor) something on the background, then using an editor, covered it up with and effect. I need to see what he wrote before covering it up.
I really would like to know how to editor picture in general for I find this really really cool!
What is the best way to take the background out of a photo or a portrait and keep the photo? Also would like to be able to keep the edge nice so when am laser engraving it will look nice, and will be able to engrave well.

I cropped my picture from the white background and added a black Background and now i got a bright border around my watch
I found a guide via google which told me how to do that but this guide is for PS not PSE and in PSE we not have layer matting (or at least i din't found it) so my question is, is there a way to delete this "borders" from my image with PSE easy way? Or i have to delete them manually ?

I am Using PSE9 if that matters...
I'm still working on changing a document I didn't create. It needs to be CMYK, but I keep getting error messages when I save it that there is a spot color. I saw one spot color in the Swatches (at least I seem to remember that's what the little dot in the corner means) and I double clicked it and changed it to CMYK. And I selected the one item that seems to have that color and I changed it to the CMYK version. But the swatch still has the corner dot and I still get the error message when I save.

So I am looking for a monitor calibrator which will automatically set brightness and contrast. Contrary to popular opinion, I am not concerned with color accuracy. My experience has been that the ICC IEC 61966-2.1 profile will give pleasing color results even if not always accurate. As best as I recall, my Huey (now lost) asked me to set brightness and contrast.
The picture I am working with has a white spot on the tooth, I suppose from the flash that I can't seem to remove.I have photoshop cs3.

View 36 Replies View RelatedEverytime I make a sphere, even if I restart illustrator and make a new document, I get that ugly dark spot in my image. I don't know what the heck it is. I've tried everything I could think of to get rid of it, but I can't seem to.
The way I made the shere was by taking an elipse, making it into a perfect circle and then using the scissor tool to make it into a half-circle, then using the Effect>3D>Revolve Menu option to generate a sphere.

I resynched after removing all the spot removals on the first picture, but the spot removals are still there on each picture. What will remove the apot removals on ALL the pictures?

View 8 Replies View RelatedAfter being embarrassed by failing to check the Clone/heal tool to make sure the opacity was set correctly, I am encouraged to ask another question that was not affected by the appropriate correction that made the tool work fine under most circumstances. However, using LR4 (and previously LR 3) )iMac 27 quad) at odd intervals, certain images show up with a single white spot, usually on a blue background, that cannot be removed or cloned with the LR Clone/heal tool. It can be removed with the clone tool in PS but not in LR. I don't know where the spots come from. They sometimes show up in a sequence of 3-4 or just singly. A copy of one is attached here. I don't know if this spot is an aberation in LR or from my cameras. Since it's happened with different cameras, I presume this is some problem with LR.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI was shooting some timelapses recently and created thousands of images. I needed to "heal" one dust particle from all of those which I did by using "spot removal" tool but unfortunately it doesn't work well on all images. Now I am stuck with a problem where I have over 7K pics which has that tool applied but I can't remove it from the whole batch in one go.
I've tried syncing with an image that has no "spot removal" tool applied but it didn't work. I coppied settings and pasted them but it only works for one image. I had them all selected and just hit restart on a tool but again it only does that for currently visible pic. I really don't know how to deal with this and I don't want to do it manually with all of them. It's worth mentioning that I could reset all of the settings but I already applied many adjustements to many images so only spot tool is what I want to get rid off.
I am using a Lightroom 5.2
Tried to remove some cables from an image using Russel Brown's video making use of the pen tool/path and the spot healing brush with content aware. I'm pretty sure I followed his tutorial exactly but it did not work satisfactorily. Are there any other tweaks I should be using to remove these cables and replace them with the background details?

i've been digging around trying to find a plugin for 'spot removal', but haven't had any luck. am i missing it? i've found only one post in a all the forums that even mentions the word "spot".

So you coud copy whole "effect-strings" much easier as before.
Is there a chance to implement this feature to P.net?

I'm not sure how to remove the reflection while keeping the integrity of the photo. Another possible fix could be doing a mirror image of the photo itself to "cover" the glare spot on the other half of the painting. I have much to learn when it comes to photoshop.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a picture where I'm standing in front of a dark curtain with many shades of green.
I want to remove this background and only have white
in the background.
I created an image for a programming project with Photoshop. When my application runs, everything that is red is drawn as transparent when the form is rendered. The purpose of this is to make an application with a shaped form instead of the regular rectangular windows.
Anyways, my problem is with the image itself: there is a little fringe around it. I am no Photoshop expert, but it appears that the fringe is created by Photoshop when my image is rendered against the red background I created. My image, let's say a circle, is actually in a separate layer, and the background layer is red all over. What happens is that pixels, let's say blue, near the edge of the circle in the image layer turn to purple to smooth out the circonference of the circle in some sort of anti-aliasing fashion.
Since at runtime the red disappears, I end up with a purpleish fringe around my circle, which is annoying. I tried using a different background colour, but I still end up with a little fringe, just of another colour. I tried the various "defringe" options of Photoshop but without any success.
I would like to remove the text from this picture so that i can write my own, is that possible?
