View 4 RepliesI have a picture of a toy, I want to lift the toy off the background and leave only white space around it.
Here's what I've accomplished so far:
Created new layer Used the rounded rectangle to isolate the toy inverted the image used the magic wand to crop areas that had to go cropped as close to the toy as possible. Now I have the image but it's on this ugly, bits and pieces left over square.
What I'd like to know is: will making the background transparent fix it?
I'm still playing with it and saw a tutorial on transparency, but each time I attempt to do it - the entire image disappears.
I want to lift image from photo and then do transparent background.
Is there any knack of selecting the item from the image cleanly. In my case its a dog. I use the lasso to go around the object but that leaves a 2mm space where the background shows through.
(Is there a way to use the lasso to make a partial selection then remove your finger from the mouse and then continue your selection from where you left off ?)
After I have Deleted the inverted selection I use the Background remover to remove the remaining 2mm of background around the dog.Again is there a knack to using this tool ? I Googled and it said to keep the removal circule half in and half out of the actual image. Also is ther a correct setting in the menu bar for the BG/removal tool..Im just experimenting.
my settings at this moment are.
size 18
Hardness 100
Step 10
Density 100
Thickness 100
Rotation 0
Opacity 100
Tolarance 75
Sharpness 100
Sampling: Continuous
Limits: Contiguous
Boxes not ticked. Auto tollerance and Use all Layers.
Box ticked: Ignore Lightness.
I have a .jpg image (just a plain flat image, no layers) which mostly consists of text and one small image; I need to lift the text and the image from the background so I can change the background color, then put the text back again.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI need to create white letters on a transparent background, but don't know how. You can't see white letters on a white background, and if I set the layer to invisible I can't see the letters either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Photo Paint 9 to edit photos I took of some watercolors I did. Many of the photos are of a single animal on a white background (similar to the California state flag). When I printed many of these out they had a greenish tint (not a printer problem) so I went to Image--Adjust--Color Balance.... I adjusted the cursor on the Magenta/Green bar to -15 (towards Magenta) and hit ok. The problem is, now when I print, the image is ok but the background which I want to be pure white now has a pinkish (magenta?) tint to it.
Is there any way to isolate the image and get the background pure white again?
How can I change the color of the background in an image from white to transparent?
I am using PSP v7.04
I didn't realized that as I'm importing images, the 'background' was defaulting to white. I'm working a couple images right now, in which the transparent setting is really needed. I found where to change the default, but not how to change it for existing images in PS already.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Photoshop Elements 11. I designed a book cover with Microsoft Word 2010 and saved the file as a Pdf. I want to upload an image of this book cover to various web sites that require a Jpeg image and the book cover has to cover at least 85% of the image and require a pure white back ground. Pixel size can be 1,000 or more. I did go to the library to get reference books but, I can't ascertain from these books how to do this. I am a beginner to Photoshop and realize I will have to get training for future projects. I wanted to upload an image from my computer to show you the book cover but there was a dialogue box that appeared saying the file was too large to upload. The book cover I designed is 8.5' x 11.0"
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create a picture which has a background image and some text on it.
Since the image has different colors, the textcolor should ajust to the underlying image.
If the image color is dark, the color of the text sould be light or the other way round.
Im new with Paint .Net. What i would like to do is get an image which is 4248 x 3163 and resize it to around 250 px - this was done successfully however the next part of this task was to paste this image onto another background and float it to the right. So you know this is supposed to be a logo.
Now should i create another new paint .net page with the size i have in mind and then paste it to the right?
If yes how could i create a nice background that blends into the image? The type of background i have in mind is a few lines with waves flowing left to right and fading away.
I would like to draw parts in 3d view which look very basic, i.e. out of a book.
Example:
white block with black lines so you can see it is 3d.background should also be white.
How do i set autocad (2012/2013) to do this. I would like the model space to be the same and not just for printing.
I seem to be having problems when I lasso round a specific part of a photo taken with a white background and then try to add that part of the image to a plain #000000 black background.
I always seem to get a white outline around the image when I place it on the black background, even when its on ZERO feathered. I don't like using feathered as it adds a smudge round the outside of the image.

View 7 Replies View RelatedThe image below has been touched up (i have cleaned up the lines with the "line/curve tool"), and even redrawn some lines. As you can see, the background is white. How to use the background (all the white) as a "stencil". this way i can use a bold brush to "airbrush" some shading and shadows onto her body, without having to worry about it spraying outside of the lines. i know it can be done, i have done it myself in fact, i just can't remember how. I have the plug-in called "isolate lineart", just FYI.

just downloading Paint.NET v3.5.9(Beta Release build 3.59.4278.36311).
I have a PNG file for which I would like to remove the whitebackground howto do it in this latest version. I found an answer for this issue in the webhowever I cannot find the "Alpha Mask" under "effects" instep #2.
bestand easiest steps to complete this task in v3.5.9.
I just started using Paint.net, and while I love it, I am functionally useless with it as of now. I am making a pair of shoes on another website, and I need this image as a picture for the shoe, but no matter what I try, the image always saves as a white background, when all I want to save is the picture itself WITHOUT the white background.

This Q must be very old. Why can´t someone invent a sigle button for this I have tried all the things by the book but still when I try to lay text image with white background over an image the white is still there althoug I made it transparent. tried to sa for web as png-8, png-24 and gif. nothing works. To use magic wand gives bad result when applied to text? So what can I do? I am trying to place text over image. I know I could write it over the image but I need the text as a transparent layer some place else.
View 6 Replies View RelatedBasically I'm trying to print a bar code onto black card. I need there to be a white background underneath the bar code otherwise the entire thing will come out black.
I've tried creating a "draw filled shape" with white and pasting the bar code onto a layer above that but it does not work!
I need to remove the background white from this picture and make is transparent but not the middle bit with the player.
I thought about removing the bottom rectangle and then putting an ellipse around it but it's not a perfect circle...it's flat at the bottom.
Also, I can't seem to get the perfect ellipse size or move it.
How do you select an ellipse once you've made it and resize it?
I was wondering how do I change the white background color to another color? I do enjoy using Paint.Net very much, it does suit my needs, in fact it's better than the windows paint program, far better!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am a relative newbie to photoshop - I am trying to create a border around a logo that has rounded edges. I have used to stroke tool and it creates the border. However, when I try and save it and use it it still has square edges.
How do I get rid of the square edges?
I have 1 picture with a blue background and a metal steel basin. I would like to remove the background and change the color to white.
Background is a material so it's not all perfectly the same color, very slight different shades of blue in the picture. The tutorials say outline it but this is a circular metal object. I tried using the circle tool but I can't get it exact and there seems to be no way to select a circle.

I'm sure there must be a way of doing this but I've been fiddling with it for hours. How can I remove, or make a background transparent so that I don't get the white box when I use this on a coloured background.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to do some very basic stuff. I have a brown background and I want white letters on top of it. I have tried setting the Primary color to white and the Secondary color to brown, vice versa, and also setting both Primary and Secondary to white. No matter what I do, my letters don't show up, presumably because they are brown.
How do I get white text to actually show up on a brown background?
I just learned how to remove an object from the pic. Now this is my question.............i have a pic of a flower and i removed the background. I want to put the pic. on a solid white background. How to do this?
