Paint.NET :: Change Hue Of Just One Object In Picture?

What would be the best way to do it while minimizing selection errors?

I am trying to change one object of my picture to colour while the rest remains black and white.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI would like to clone one object from one picture to another. When I have 2 pictures side by side and I want to clone one object to the other pictures the percentages are not the same with each other and the object is out og proportion. How do I get both pictures with the same percentages? As an example maybe there's a fire hydrant and I would like to clone it to the other picture and have it look as a 1 to 1 ratio.

Create a Mask marquee and Cut [Ctrl X]
Undo twice [Ctrl Z twice]. You're now back where you started but with a cut object on the clipboard
Paste [Ctrl V]
Cut [Ctrl X]
Paste again [Ctrl V]
Cut again [Ctrl X]
In my case, the entire image has now been cut, not just the pasted object. The reason I do this is because I'm working with two virtually identical pictures. On one picture there has been a modification which I wish to paste onto the other. I cut and paste but need to align the pasted object with the picture. So, I paste the object and move it; then cut and then paste it to check it's in the correct position. If it's out of alignment then the image appears to move. There may be other ways to do this but I find this way easy.
I need to remove a picture of a horse in the background and replace it with a picture of a fence similar to the rest of the picture. I know how to erase the image using the lasso tool and the magic wand. How do I clone part of the background to replace the erased image and then blend the two pictures together?

1 Open 2nd image
2 Click the dropper tool on the 2nd image-the foreground colour in the met palette changes to that colour(blue)
3 Click on foreground colour box
4 Click on background colour box-wanted colour shows-OK.
5 Select flood fill tool
Then the foreground colour changes to white. Not doing step 4 ends up with white too.
I am just starting to use Paint.net.
I cannot change the text color when I want to insert text on a picture.
I'm using Paint.net since few years, and now I'm trying to coloring a brush with a precise color. I would like the brush to be in a blue color 3914AF (for example). I tried to use different fusion mode like "screen" on a third layer that I colored with this color...but it also let the color out of the brush itself. I thought of using the magic wandle before but to have a correct result...
HOW to change the color of any PNG brush directly in the picture in Paint.net.

I'm a Model Railroader, as the screen name implies. "RRArtist" RailRoad Artist. Anyway, I have a MoPar garage, planned, I have this 3D model, built, I'm merely working on a sign, that is based off I think the 1950's.....This sign, will depict my interests in MoPar, a "Hemi", and the classy girls used back in the day, as part of the sign, AND will be lighted......SO, in 1/87th to the foot scale (Pretty small) its nearly impossible to get a "Hemi" motor, and be able to see that it is a Hemi! SO, my plan, is to take a 1:25th scale Hemi motor, and mount it to a sign pole, that's a pipe, to carry wires for lighting. Then UNDER this sign, will be a girl, that looks as tho, she is holding up a sign that says "Hemi" in the old "MoPar" signage.....UNDER her will be this Hemi Motor.....BUT the lighting is the fun part as the "lamp shades. will be CHROMED Hemi Valve Covers.....With the motor itself, painted orange, with black valve covers.....
Now this girl on the sign, is the issue.............. The girl is actually a blonde.....(don't ask LOL) I need to change her hair color... to red! Problem is? The clothing shes wearing, a short skirt, or short shorts, that are also...........RED.... so, it leaves way to much "red" for the sign......Looks good as is, don't get me wrong, BUT, if I can replace her blonde hair with red hair, to match the "looks" of the image, to be "believable" is GREAT, BUT I want to remove the red from her clothing, and make it Hemi Orange.......... trimmed in black with the silverish looks it already has, blended into the red as you will see...
This whole project is going on a display I'm adding to my layout for looks for when I run trains and to show my other interest.......... old MoPar muscle cars that were Hemi with a garage to repair them, from back in the day......Trying to make all the colors fall into place is my issue!
How do I change a White or Black colored picture or cropped part into a different color? Hue won't work because its color is white and black.

I'm just working on a flyer for a party and I like how the picture looks like after clicking on the picture with the magic wand. Now the question if I can save that picture with that looking someway?
I could use the print button, yes but then I lose the quality of the pic.
you could copy the layer from picture 1 to picture 2.
So you coud copy whole "effect-strings" much easier as before.
Is there a chance to implement this feature to P.net?
1. After creating a clip mask can I view it without the actual object also being visible?
2. Can I paste one object into the clip mask of a different object?
Mleader arrow head didn't change size when change the scale on Object property?
The Arrow head size didn't change corresponding to the scale, i included the pic below, the top picture, the arrow head was set at .18" but was really small when i plot out, so i wanted to make it bigger, when i changed to .50" or .75" or even 1" the arrow head became even smaller than .18". Only when .18" than the arrow side is legible

I have a photo I've been working on and in it I've attempted to photoshop an iMac on this desk. I've also tried to photoshop a box on the chair. The photo still doesn't look quite right and I can't get the iMac to look like it's sitting on the desk despite the attempt at shadows and perspective warping etc..
Would I need to deconstruct the stand of the iMac and change it individually? Are the colours wrong? As for the box I used the pen tool and cut it I've now got a smooth edge but the colours don't match although I think it could has potential if I knew what I was doing.
I can't seem to figure out how to to select an object in a picture and only that object, and put it in another...

and putting it in another image:
(I know the pictures dont go together I just want to see how it done in general)
I've been using photoshop for a while with no problems, but last night I tried and failed to cut a picture of me (snowboarding down a small slope) from photo 1, and paste this into another photo 2 (a picture of a pro jumping through the air).
After removing the professional snowboarder from the photo, using the clone tool, I pasted my picture onto the photo. Thereby making myself look like a pro. (long story about me and a competetive friend).
Alas I was massive compared to photo 2. I was bigger than the ski-slope itself. I tried to shrink myself, but my picture changed resolution, my photo wasn't cut properly, and so many other problems.
I looked through the helpfiles and found stuff about layers, but nothing about cropping, pasting, resizing.
I just watched a tutorial for the new blurs in Photoshop CS6. They instructed to convert the pic to a smart object. But when I did that the iris, field and tilt shift blurs were not being allowed to be applied. I am not that familiar with working with smart objects
