I have been looking for a plugin that adds a tool to slowly slim lines as you draw. For example, as you draw a line, the line starts off thick, but as you draw the line it gets thinner.

Where I am confused is that once the line is drawn from top to bottom and I go to draw the line across the upper area the anchors stay connected.
I tried the Alt key + click to cut the path but (as you advanced folk probably already know) it didn't work.
way to make the bottom Anchor an end Anchor? Does that even exist?
Honestly I am not even sure what I ought to be looking for in the manual etc.
I tried just drawing the shape for the Glossy effect and then filling it with the required gradient but frankly it just looks odd ... it looks flat and basically UGLY
The blue line that goes across is the problem for me.
I should also mention, if you go to the tutorial ... it says that I am suppose to Duplicate the Inner Circle but I made too many goofs and somehow all my layers ended up on one layer so rather than doing what the tut instructs I just made a New Layer and then drew a new circle with the Ellipse tool.
Even so, I actually couldn't grasp why or how I was suppose to go about intergrating the new circle with using the Pen Tool to draw the Glossy effect object. So, I skipped that part and just used the Pen tool to draw the needed shape as shown above in pink.
Is there a plugin that allows for creating right-angle flows...lines with arrow tips?

Application installed on C: drive, primary scratch disk is on partitioned D: drive with 3.96GB free space, secondary scratch disk is on C: drive with 53.98GB free space. Largest file has about 12 layers, including 3 layers with rasterized PDFs and about 9 layers that have blocks of filled color with craquelure & inner shadow added.]

Recently, my freehand lasso tool in CS2 has been, by default, adding to the first selection I make without me asking it to. Usually you would have to hold shift down to do this, but it is doing it automatically. How do I stop this?
Caps lock is not on.
I would prefer it to be back to normal because I often deselect using the lasso tool by clicking out of a faulty selection I have made.
I hope that this makes some sense.
I've made some custom tool palettes that are on the network. I just have them pathed in the options, and set up as a group for users to access. Civil 3D is real sluggish when it comes to using these, and switching between the tabs, and trying to load them up. But Vanilla AutoCAD loads them and switches between tabs no problem. Is there a variable specific to C3D that needs to change to make it work more like it does in Vanilla AutoCAD?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI am using the type tool in Photoshop CS6 (windows XP pro) and I am running into this weird issue. I have never seen anything like it before. It isn't my keyboard or computer, it only happens in Photoshop. When I am typing and I mess up and use backspace to delete a character, the next character I type in gets doubled. Random letters will pop up as well - such as when I type "S", the letter "U" shows up... when I press the spacebar, it adds an extra letter instead of a space (the following letter or previous letter used). The cursor gets placed before that second character too. I can delete it using backspace or delete but then if I press spacebar to continue, it shows up again and again. I can't get rid of the extra characters!
I've tried activating and de-activating various key locks on my keyboard to no avail. Is there some button I pushed or weird formatting I somehow accidently implemented?

I tried creating an ellipse and filling it in with semi-transparent brush and use the dents tool on it but its just not... WAVY enough. Is there a plugin or way to add more lines to the lines/curve tool? That would be VERY useful at all times so I can make custom waves/do more things with it.
I frequently use the lines/curve tool for filling in large items on the documents (maps) which I update. In the past, I have had no trouble doing this, but I now find that the lines no longer merge into one another, but overlap. I get the same effect when using the paintbrush tool. It is probably something that I am doing incorrectly, but blowed if I know what.

One feature that MSPaint has that Paint.NET doesn't that would make it extremely convenient is the ability to use the pencil tool to draw short straight lines in any of the 8 main directions by holding SHIFT when drawing. While it is fairly easy to assign hotkeys on MSPaint and while Paint.NET already has them for pencil/line tools, it is often more convenient to be able to do seamlessly, especially when I'm editing many lines at once (like coasts and whanot).
I checked through the first 20 pages or so in this board and didn't find anything similar.

Drawing Parrallel lines from one elipse to another?
I am drawing pipe and beams.
I use a variety of methods. Right now I just SNAP to the elipse, draw the lines at the angles and then hit the other elipse. Sometimes though the lines jump all around the elipse.
I am trying to draw lines(orange colored) on this 3d object(crimson colored). Every time I go to select the lines to alter them I end up only being able to select the 3d object they are on. How do I turn off the selection of the 3d objects or anything on that layer?
