So extremely annoying to always first having to move it off the image, before I can see the effect I'm using. Especially when working with multiple layers. Is there a way to have this window open on the SIDE of the image one is working on? Instead of on top of it, hiding it?

Mar 1, 2012I am not a master of Photo-Paint, I use Draw for most tasks, but here I think Photo-Paint would be the right tool. I want to resample an image and then add a 7 px drop shadow to it and then export it as a PNG for web (transparent drop shadow). The problem I encounter is at the export stage, as the whole paper size is exported, not just the object selected, as is the case in Draw. Is there any other option than to place the object in the upper left corner (coordinates 0, 0 ) resize the paper size to fit and then export?

Mar 10, 2010I just tried to do some work in X5 and when I tried to add a drop shadow to beveled text, you can't edit the drop shadow. The shadow tool bar is grayed out except for the presets drop down. Also when I try to export an image the program add pixels to the image.

May 18, 2013I've got two ebooks coming out with "A NOVEL" in one and "a novel by" in the other. I put those in there thinking that they would distinguish them from other kinds of books, but hanging around in the ebook forums the great majority of people are like, 'Using 'a novel by' is amateurish and unnecessary as the book will be amongst other novels.'
Well, I've looked at plenty of ebooks online I thought were novels that ended up being short stories and I was not pleased, so I'm not entirely convinced I should be getting rid of them (the 'a novel by,' that is).
question #1) Do you think I should be getting rid of them?
Question #2) If so, any good way of doing that, where it still looks good?
The Find I did in paint.net before I knew about layers (unfortunately), so everything there is on the same layer.
Man of God was done by a professional cover designer and I have asked him to remove it, but I'm not sure if he will or not. (He did the cover maybe 7 months ago and I've got an email into him three days ago and haven't heard back.) So I don't know how this one was made.
And one last question: what is up with the file re-sizing action? I know that's vague, but when I re-sized The Find photo to 50% the paint.net uploader said it was too big. When I re-sized it to 40% paint.net said it was only 33.24 kb. Can that be? Plus paint.net was calling the file sizes just about double what they were in the file's properties.
Paint Shop Pro :: Window Around Photo Size
Nov 4, 2013I have used PSP since version 2, so have been at it for awhile. Just upgraded to 6, as I was using version 4.
The problem I have is when I am in the edit area, and have a photo on the screen I use my mouse wheel to enlarge or shrink depending on my needs. The old version the windows box around image would also resize with image. I have attached a few images. I normal could fix this in the settings, but for some reason the window will not follow the image size as I enlarge or shrink? It does when I actually resize image, but I need this to do that when I am just using mouse wheel to make bigger or smaller on my screen.

Corel PHOTO-PAINT X6 :: Transparency Command Window Too Small
Jul 9, 2012Why is the Transparency command window in the Clone Tool property bar so narrow? By comparison, the window for the Feather command next to it is twice the size. The reason for the moan is because my display is set to 110% as I like to see slightly larger text but I've had to go down to 100% because I can only see one complete digit in that tiny little window.
Is there any way to make it a touch wider so I can see two digits without a problem?
Display set to 1900 x 1200 on 32-bit XP.
Corel PHOTO-PAINT X5 :: Dragging Window Causes It To Maximize In Few Programs
Jan 17, 2012My Vista system has developed a few bugs which are not cured by Norton 360.Dragging a window causes it to maximize in a few programs PASTE does not work in some programs -- including X4 . The CROP tool stopped working in X4 but is OK in X5 High-lighting is erratic in WORD etc.
I can only run a "clean" install from my OEM disk which means reloading all applications.I was wondering if I should give up and install Windows 7.
What has been your experience with Windows 7/Did you do a "clean" install or just the update.

Aug 12, 2013I've seen several adobe tutorials and youtube videos that show moving photos or folders by drag and drop in the library grid view. I cannot get it to work.
Steps:
1. Mousedown on a photo (not the frame) in the grid
2. Drag the mouse to a folder in the "Folder" pane (left of the grid)
3. Mouseup on the destination folder
Results:
Nothing happens. The mouse cursor doesn't change from the arrow. There is no indication I can drag and drop. The photos are not moved.
The photos are stored on a NAS. Of course I can move them around via Windows Explorer, but I want to do this from inside LR4 for obvious reasons. From LR4, I can create new folders, but I still cannot move photos into those folders. I also tried creating a new folder on a local drive. Again, I was able to create the folders, but was not able to move any photos into the folder.

May 8, 2013In Photoshop I'm unable to move the background window. I am able to move document windows and all the other panels, but not the background window. From the bottom right of the window I can collapse or expand the background window, yet it is stuck to the top of the menu bar. This is annoying because in order to access a finder window lying behind the Photoshop background window. I have to hide, Command H, Photoshop.

Aug 22, 2013how to move the window around with the arrow keys and I just can't find it. A little box popped up in the upper left hand corner that allowed you to move the drawing window around to find a hidden dialog box.
In 2013 Civil 3d I am having the issue that when I select the Add/ Delete scales the cursor changes to an arrow and the program waits. If i hit the exscape key it goes back to normal. My best guess is the dialog box is popping up behind the drafting window.

Oct 25, 2012This morning (10/25/12) after booted my system I had a notification that there was a set of updates to my Photoshop CS6 product set. I went ahead a did the updates which installed successfully. A few minutes later I started up Photoshop Elements 10. The start-up of PSE 10 appeared normal at first, but there was a lot of hard disk activity and the Organizer window would not respond when I tried to move the sliders. I started up Task Manager and could see that PSE 10 was continuing to use processor time. I killed PSE 10 and restarted it. I decided to let it run and so far it's been doing something for over 30 minutes. From time to time the window will flash and occasionally I get an hourglass icon to display over the window. I'm not able to move the window or shrink it. I guess I'll just let it run to see if it will ever become operational. My catalog has entries for about 40,000 images so I'm wondering if the Adobe update affected something in the catalog, although the update did not seem to include anything for PSE. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit edition with all the latest Microsoft updates.
