Paint.NET :: How To Make Water Drop Squirt Shapes
Sep 1, 2012I'd like to know how to make squirted water drops. I'll give them a solid fill; it's just how to create the shape that I'm after.
Here's a hand drawn image of what I mean: [URL]

I want to make a fountain that has water jets that cause ripples when they hit the water. I have tried the basic reactor water and Pflow setup, as well as super spray, but neither seem to work. Is there any way to accomplish this without "faking" it by doing something creative with the water's texture?
View 9 Replies View Relatedi'm having issues finding the right tutorials to do what i'm trying to do.
Basically i want a water ripple like the one you see in the lake, but not from the top down, kinda like the front angle view. Then falling down would be a water drop with a globe in it.
If that's kind of hard to do, anythign with a water drop and ripples and a globe is fine,
Water drops on a white surface, that's all I want. Some of them give a great result when creating a water drop on a photo, but none give a realistic water drop when a white background is used.

I took picture while it was raining and I've noticed water drop on my lense. I've tried to remove it in Photoshop using Burn tool, changing Curves and Levels, yet I didn't manage to fix it As you can see it covers area on left side and its pretty big.

It occurred to me to ask if there is some way to modify the water drop trace function (which examines a surface and determines the 90 degree to contours path) so that you could specify an angle to the contours of your choice. This would basically automate finding the flow path of a diversion berm. Any method of laying out, for instance a 2% flowline along a 3to1 slope or tougher yet, a face with variable slopes.

Surface does exist as we can see the triangles/contours or whatever we choose to display. When we run the Water drop command, we are getting a message saying that the point is outside of the surface. We have selected a valid surface by both picking it visually and selecting it from the dialogue. All layers are on and thawed and we are picking well inside of the surface.
Why it would be telling us that the point is outside the surface?
Within Photoshop(CS5extended) there's an option to view Styles I have some original Shapes I have created and also downloaded not too many but I would like to have them added to the window drop-down menu at top similar to styles. Is this even possible, for the life of me I can't find a way to do it

In this animation attached, please see the water and land interface on the left side of the green land object. Notice when the land object moves to the left, the blue water kind of ripples and flickers at the edge. Do you know what is happening and how to resolve this? How can I make the edge of the water smooth with no flickering?
The land is a a box with a good number of subdivisions with a displacement map making the height of the land. It is the animated displacement map and textures that make the land look like its moving over to the left. There are no bump maps. The water is just a long flat box with many subD's
I have tried increaing the subD's in both water and land objects , but nothing. The animated displacement map should not be producing such jitteriness like this. The grey scale image for the map is very smooth with soft gradients. I rendered with MR, 1/16 sampling, jitteriness checked,

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have intermediate level knowledge of Photoshop (CS5). I did a one-day course a couple of months ago, where the instructor told us how to put shapes/images/text in the sky and then make it so that it looked like cloud.
For example we wrote something like, "High in the Sky", then managed to make it look like it was like clouds in the sky that were spelling it out. We also dropped a picture of a plane or something then did the same thing, so there was a cloud shaped plane in the sky. The problem is I've completely forgotten how to do this but it so happens I need it for a work project I am doing.
I'm looking to make a box that is empty in the middle but has a border. I'd like to be able to set the thickness of this border. I remember being able to do this fairly simply in CorelDRAW so I'm surprised that I haven't found the technique yet in Photoshop. Here is an example. I made that using the Rectangle Tool and merging the 4 layers to form a bordered box. This is not an effective method when my canvas is 2550 x 3300 px.
