Paint.NET :: Add A Button To GUI?

One of the most common operations I perform in pixel editors is to add a drop-shadow to icon images. I found the Drop Shadow plugin and am happy with the results it produces, but it reverts to default settings every time I start it. There doesn't appear to be a preset editor for it. I also found the ScriptLab plugin and I have successfully made a script with the proper settings. However running this script involves far too many steps on my part.
Is there a way I can add a button to the main Paint.NET gui which runs the drop-shadow filter with the appropriate settings? Ideally it would even subsequently save the png file using 32-bit pixel depth and close the image.

Ive just got Paintshop Photo Pro X3 Ultimate . Where i can find the Do-More button? Ive clicked on the cogged wheel (top left) where i thought it would be but its not there!

I am using Pro X3 in full editor. When using Presets, if I select a preset such as an arrow from the drop down menu, the drop down menu seems to cover the Apply button. I can place a preset in my image but I cannot find the apply button while working from the Preset sub menu. The object retains the edit frame until I close the image, then I am asked if I want to APPLY before saving.

Need to change the button language quickly (whenever you need a pro they don't answer ), but my attempts never look so good as the original . This is the button
I need it to say "Jetzt Kaufen!", with the same text style . I can delete the text and type something, but it never looks any pro .

Is it possible to create a semi-transparent button such that when it is placed over a colored background, the button takes on the color? The button would have a bit of a 3-D raised effect so that it looks slightly rounded on its edges.
I'd like to get this functionality so that instead of creating several buttons all having different colors (could end up creating lots of them) I'd simply place the semi-transparent button over the colored area and change the area when needed. I'm thinking of using this with some HTML as follows:

<img src="semitransparent_button.png" />
</div>
Now all that I'd need to do is change "red" to "green" and I've got a green button all by using a single image.

I have just installed paint.net as a first time user on Win 7. I inserted a .jpg file which I wanted to crop, but the crop button is greyed out. Also is there a way to search for multiple words in the search box? I tride a word + word but did not work.

since i have some heavy scanning to do (i need to scan 300-500 pages from different books), scan button AND a shortcut to the scanner/scan menu. I searched for plugins, none found.
Could it be possible to add the "Get image from scanner or Camera" to the menu bar ? It would reduce clicking a great time for me (and surely many other people too).

I just installed PSP X5 Ultimate (full install). After it completed it installed an update. All appeared to go fine. I opened the program and went to EDIT. I am familiar with PSP as I have used a number versions up to X2. The first thing I tried to do was crop a photo. The crop tool buttons are not correct. The "Apply", "Crop as new image" and so on under the crop area window are not correct. I see a square of colors. I see the same thing on the main tool bar for the "Copy Special" function and the "Share" button. There could be more that I have not discovered yet. I rebooted and tried again, but get the same thing. Also, the button icons look different each time I load.

Shortly after I loaded PSP X5 on my computer, the picture icons on the buttons in the docking workspace changed and I don't know why. These are the icons at the top and bottom of the Docking area where I work with Layers and also have several other items docked.
I am using PSP X5 version 15.2.0.12
Across the top are the icons for " Edit Selection, Show/Hide Layer effects, Link/Unlink, Lock/Unlock, and Layer Styles".

I created my avatar using Paint.NET years ago:
It is looking dated (to me), so I had been thinking about sprucing it up.
I decided I would remove the ugly text "jp2code", throw a transparent Glossy Button effect over it, and put my text on top of the glossy button as an Etched Glass effect.
So, I look up and start reading up on a couple of the better glossy button tutorials:
Making glass buttons, and Buttons (ymd:110331)
I have used them both before with great success, but this time proved difficult. Neither of them seems to have a good way to use a background image.
The best approach I found was to create a ymd button using a light gray background and setting the opacity down to 150 or so.
The end result looks no where near as nice as I had pictured in my head:
As you can see, it is very dark, does not look like a Glass Button, and I have not found a good Etched Glass effect.
How to brighten up the Glossy Button without washing out the background?

Sometimes I'm getting photoshop files with hundreds of layers.
I'm really happy that I'm able to open them in Paint.NET.
But because of the amount of layers it is sometimes difficult to figure out which detail is on which layer.
And to switch off layers up to the point that only the layer in question is left is little bit painful.
Proposal:
Add an additional button at the bottom of the layers window.
If the button is selected then only the active layer is visible in the main window and not a merge of the visible layers.
You may then activate one layer after the other to check the content.
Maybe if the button is selected then this could overwrite the visiblity attribute of the layer temporary.

I've been having this problem for a while with Photoshop and my Wacom pen...
I'll be painting and I'll bump the middle button on my wacom pen and I'll get the circle of circles that spins forever... until I force quit. It's so cumbersome. I have my middle button mapped to the middle mouse click.
I use a mac and currently on CC. I have an intuos 5 but It used to happen to my three too. It's been less of a problem lately because of the crash recovery feature but it's still a huge problem...Like if there was an auto save feature or something then I'd be less frustrated.
I seem to have trouble articulating what's going on as well because all I get back is... did you update the drivers? it must be a wacom issue. try an update... etc.
The wheel spins but the pen still draws... like... FML

Have only recently purchased and installed X5. I am coming from PSPv9 (and doing so reluctantly.)
I am attempting to duplicate the tool toolbar that I am use to in PSPv9 in X5. I have been successful except for one group. In PSPv9, the Dropper tool and the Color Replacer tool are in the same group. I have been able to create a new Button Group and place both tools into it. What I can not figure out is how to have the new button group display an icon. All other groups display the icon of the first tool in the group listing.

I recently got a new computer, with Windows Vista. I used my wife's existing CD to install Paint Shop Pro 7 (from 2001 - yikes!). It seems fine, except for a few of the preferences. The BIG problem is that the [Printer] button on the Page Setup dialog no longer appears! Here's the verbiage from the PaintShopPro7 user guide:
6To surround the image with a color, click the Background button. When the Color dialog box opens, choose the color. The area of the paper from the image edge to the paper margin will be covered with this color.
7Click the Printer button to open the printer.
8Click OK to close the dialog box and save the settings.

I am growing increasinly frustrated. I just installed AutoCAD LT 2013 on my laptop. I managed to get everything customized the way I want, except the button icons on my (classic) toolbar are much too small. If I go into the menu and select 'use large icons', they are too huge. My screen resolution DOES NOT need to be changed or adjusted. I went to the help menu to see what I can do, and found that I can go into CUI and adjust the size of the button icons that way, via the button image editor, however there is no 'button image editor' dialog box when I select any given toolbar command.

I have a .psd file that was created by someone else for my friends web page. The psd file is the background, logo, and navigational bar for her home page. Each button is a "slice" I think because there are lines around each button on the left side navigational bar (not a true navigational bar just created by buttons) and around the head and body etc. (The lines are blue if that tells you anything - each section is numbered with a little tiny icon that looks a little like the back of an envelope.)
My question - we wanted to change the word on one of the buttons - I did that saved the psd file - no problem. Then I cropped out the button that we had changed. When I saved it to the web (as a jpg) the button looks like a button (a box around it - not a line a raised area that looks like a button.) The other buttons do NOT look like a button (even though the layers are named buttons.)
How can I change it so it looks flat (not button like) like all of the rest of the items on the navigational bar.

As default the Wacom pen top button acts as the right button. Is there a way to assign the right button to the bottom button?

I have been using VideoStudio for quit some time but always just made files and never tried to make discs from the program.
I read through the manual this morning and started out.
Under Share, I went to create disc DVD and successfully loaded my VSP file as I wanted. The instructions were to go to click next for preview and after previewing click next again for the burn step. There is no "next" button in the preview step, only a back button. And when I go back there is nothing that says go to the burn step, only "next" so I am stuck in a loop.

This is the "oh so" most annoyance in Photoshop I have ever encountered.
Alt + scrollwheel is the greatest tool for zooming in Photoshop!
However, every time you cease zooming and go for the move tool (V) it opens up the View menu at the top of the program window. Every time you go for the full screen mode (F) it opens the file menu. Every time you go for the hand/pan tool (space bar) it opens the program menu at the top of the window. Every time you go for the wand tool (W) it opens the window menu at the top of the program. Every single time. Though there are two ways to overcome it:
1. by quickly pressing ALT once after you finish zooming
2. hitting escape
It is easy to forget to do these and I feel this shouldn't be a problem in the first place, as you can clearly tell. Often times, I hit (F, F) and it opens the File Menu>File Info... since the ALT command has already been activated. [/vent] I just wonder who else has this same problem, and what are your solutions?

ok my firend opend a site and i hooked him up with fly log-go right well then he wanted more so he wants me to make him some buttons on his sight like you know people got dem little squares that you clikc and go to like a page or to there site i was jw how to make one i got the box and i made the pc and stuff but how do i make it so i cna put it on his site and click it and it goes to a page or so that if they click the picture it goes to his home page?

I got Photoshop CC. But when I tried to make 3D text, I couldn't do it... There was no 3D button/ option. I have Photoshop CS6 Extended, which allows me to create 3D text. I'm hoping I don't have to switch between versions every time I want to make 3D text..Also, one more thing. When I first launched Photoshop CC, it said "Would you like to migrate your presets from Photoshop CS6?" I chose No, What this would do, since I'm not the most experienced Photoshop user.

I had previously been using CS3 and recently upgraded to CS6. When doing color processing I no longer find the on/off preview button so that when adjusting color balance, for example, I do not see a toggle switch (preview) to see the effect on and off.

How to put the buttons I use a lot in the top bars, such as save, new, etc. I just upgraded from using Photoshop Elements for 10 years to Photoshop CS5. I am not a fan of using shortcuts, I prefer to use the top bar buttons. There is a ton of unused real estate on those bars.

I am working on a design of a button for my stations website. The problem is I need to make this stand out, after using the fire effect tutorial that I found here I know you can help.
1) I need a cool effect to make the button stand out on a semi busy page. Any ideas would be appreciated.
2) Then I need to be able to make the image glow. (Again don't know how to do it, but shoot high in what I want to learn)
