Mar 18, 2013why does the Date Created metadata change when images are exported? How do I stop it from changing? I must have a preference set up wrong.

Oct 24, 2012I have a metadata template which I apply to my pictures but everytime this action is performed I'm left with the creation date of the images changed to the date that I created the template (3 years ago)
This problem has been present through all versions of Photoshop that I've used from CS2 to CS5.

Dec 19, 2013Why does the capture date in the metadata panel not match the capture date seen in the grid extra view and how do I fix it? The images that I have in my library are digitized negatives and I've corrected the capture dates and times to be accurate; however, the capture date and in the metadata window shows what I've changed it to and the date in both the grid extra view and the Metadata>Edit Capture Time... options both reflect the date the image was last modified. Not all of the images in my library are this way and some show the correct information. When sorted by Capture Time, all images fall exactly where they should in the proper order (based on the changed, corrected edit time and not the modified date). I saved metadata to the file with the new date but it didn't fix it.

Jan 3, 2014I use LR5 to manage RAW/JPG/MOV files from events where I have taken pictures from. Most of the MOV files do either come from my Canon Camera or from my iPhone.
I regular export the files in a reduced file back to my iPad or iPhone for "public" viewing. Unfortunately LR5 is loosing all metadata from my videos, especially creating date/time and GPS tags.
Is there any way to include metadata in exported (and compressed) video files ? It works in photo's very well.
If not, do you know any other program which can compress original video files from my iPhone and keep the metadata ?
Lightroom :: How To Keep Date Created And Modified When Converting NEF To DNG
Apr 2, 2013I noticed that when we convert NEF files to DNG in it properties the Date Created and Date Modified are changed to the present date and not the original dates of the files in question. Is there any way to make such a conversion without changing these properties? Yes, I know 'Date taken' does not change--but this info does not show up when you hover a file only the info in its properties. Also am I correct in assuming that this conversion is 100% loss-less, nothing but nothing is lost in the quality and info of the file (besides the file size)?

Lightroom :: 4.2 - When Importing / Folder Created With Wrong Date
Nov 29, 2012I found a curious bug in Lightroom 4.2.
If I have pictures taken after 23:00, Lightroom creates an import folder in the next day, but the dates in the files are correct.
Example: The file's date is: 29/11/2012 23:19.
However if I hover my mouse over the image in the import dialog:
The date that appears is 30/11/2012 00:19. Here's the detail:

I've started to notice this before, but always thought of a wrong date on my camera. Just noticed that this happens with my camera, iPhone, and any other photo that has a time after 23:00.
Lightroom :: How To View Metadata Created In Windows Explorer
Feb 27, 2012I tried to create some keywords for photos, and save them into oringinal photo files by selecting photos in library then choose "Metadata>Save metadata to file" from right-click menu.
But, when I right-click original photo files in windows explorer and choose "Content>Details", these metadata set in lightroom doesn't appear.
is there any way to view it without any 3rd software but windows explorer?
Lightroom :: Wrong Date On Created Folder When Import Photo?
Jun 6, 2013Sometimes (atleast 2 times) when I take photos late, butween about 10-11 PM they are created in a folder with the date for the following day.
Last time this happend was yesterday (2013-06-05). Almost all photos was automaticlly in folder for 2013-06-05 for the import but 10 photos shot between 10.07pm - 10.43pm was put in the folder 2013-06-06.
Im using Lightroom 4.4 Swedish version.
Is it at date/time-proporties in Lightroom which is wrong (not Swedish-time) or what can it be?
Paint.NET :: How To Change Images Created To Open Without It
Jan 22, 2014What I want to do is put the image on a flash drive and take it somewhere to have it printed in photo quality (my printer won't do it). But like I said the image will only open using paint.net and I'm guessing that if I put it on a flash drive as it is now, it will still ask for paint.net to open where ever I take it.So how do I change it to a jpeg or something else where it will open on it's own and be able to be printed somewhere without paint.net?

Images that are exported under LR 3.6 can't be imported there. M.Objects is a Windows application.So I threw 3.6 into trash, and installed LR 3.5 again. Now it works again properly!!

Apr 5, 2014I'm having the issue where after working with RAW images and having exported them to JPEG they come out dull and less saturated.
I'm running Windows 7, LR 5.2. My monitor has been professionally calibrated, and I'm using Irfanview to view the jpegs afterwards. I've also made sure that I'm saving them in sRGB.

May 22, 2012I'm using LR 3.5, and am wondering if I can have the filenames show on the images when I export them. If so, how do I make that happen? I am already watermarking a copyright script, which I suppose I could change to include the image name, but that would be pretty tiresome to do. I assume there is an easy way to do this that I just haven't found.

Lightroom :: Color Change When Exported?
Jun 22, 2012Using Lr4.1 on PC w/ win7pro laptop with external NEC multisync mmonitor-calibrated, I've taken Raws made LR adjustments, then imported 3-10 images into photoshop layers for masking, merges, few if any color changes. Then save as all layers as a psd, then flatten the psd and save as a tiff. When I open in LR for any other minor tweaks, sharpening, dust spots, and do an export into SRGB or Adobe rgb, the colors are terrible. Look nothing like what I see in LR. I've heard people have minimal issues, but I am having major changes, many times the collors will become dull and flat or very saturated when viewed. As an architectural photographer I need these colors close to what I took. If I edit in CR into PS I don't have this problem. I assume its related to the prophoto RGB color changing, but I really don't know what's going on with the color space. The color will appear different from my laptop monitor to the NEC by a lot which I understand a pro monitor will show more colors, but the color space shift is making a lot of work done in LR useless if I have to redo it all in CR. How can I get LR to export the colors I see in LR into a srgb jpg and Adobe tiff?

Mar 13, 2014I recently set up Elements 12. Prior to this I used elements 11. In that catalog I have more photos that I don't want. So I decided to export the ones I want then import into PSE 12. As I do this many of the dates on the pictures change from the date taken to the current date. I have tried several different ways and can't stop the dates changing. I am putting them into mobile albums in PSE 12 if that makes a difference.

Dec 12, 2011I am having 2 problems.
When I am in lightroom's library (3.5), I would like to change the time of capture for multiple photos, and apply keywords.
However, when I perform either of those actions, the changes are only applied to the image shown in the "more brightly highlighted" image, not all that are selected.
Is there a setting I am missing? I just cannot seem to figure out why this is not working.
Also, I aplogize if my searching skills are weak and this has been covered already. I did attempt to see if this question has been answered before posting.
