Oct 2, 2013So i have USB3 and USB2 on a lenovo laptop running windows 8 and lightroom 5,2. I have the tether plugin enabled and I connect the camera to several usb cables made for tethering. The camera show up in windows as the D800 however lighttroom does not see it and says it can't find a camera when i enable etherd shooting. I have tried several cables, all the ports with all the cables. I have taken out the memory cards and tried in many modes and still no camera in lightroom so i can't shoot tehered.

Aug 4, 2013I had LR3.6, never tried to tether. I upgraded and now have LR4.4. I tried tethering my 50D and my 7D, LR wont recognize either camera at all. EOS Utility works fine. Same cameras, same cables work on a fresh LR 4.4 install on my wife's laptop perfectly (never had EOS utilites or LR installed previously).
Both PCs, running win7 64-bit.
I uninstalled LR3 and EOS utilities off the problem PC then restarted, but still no go. Windows recognizes both cameras on any USB port with any cable, so I have eliminated those variables. I am at a loss at this point, other than re-installing LR4. Hoping I dont have to do that and rework several thousand images...

Feb 6, 2013I use lightroom to tether but recently I have not been seeing my image in lightroom. It is stuck on "transferring files from camera." However, the folder I have linked to Lightroom has the image. I have updated everything and have disconnected and reconnected every cable and it is still not working. I don't think it is the camera since I am getting the image in the tethering folder. I want to be able to see it in the Develop section of Lightroom so I can make sure I have the shot and edit if necessary.how to get it to transfer again?

Jul 13, 2012needed larger HD and did a clean install of windows 7 after doing a search of my original HD for all PSD/CR2 images> then doing the "drag drop" technique of copying/backing-up those images to another external and an internal HD.
Then did the instillation of that larger "C" HD and clean install of windows 7>copied those images into one newly created folder on that drive>installed CS6 and LR 4.1 and...LR can't/will not recognize and import more than 500 out of 14,000 PSD/CS2 images.
I am able to access those images via windows explorer and open them into CS6 without difficulity. I have done a couple un/reinstall of LR.Every one of those images is located within one folder and no images anywhere else on the "C" drive. I still have the original back-ups in two places. I have watched the videos on importing images.

The file is actually exported, sometimes to the folder specified and sometimes to a new untitled folder in the specified folder.This started after I tried unsuccessfully to activate the Facebook Publish service plug-in. I disabled the plug-in, restarted both the program and computer, but the problem remains.

Feb 1, 2012my "Edit in Photoshop" option no longer works for RAW images. Photoshop pops up, but the image doesn't, no prompt or anything, just an empty workspace. The process still works for .psds or jpegs (I can "edit in PS" from LR)
I mistakenly downloaded the latest version of LR 3.6 without reading the fine print (stupid, right?) - apparently Camera Raw 6.6 is not compatible with earlier versions of PS than CS5, but LR 3.6 needs CR 6.6. I guess I made the mistake of assuming that CS4 wasn't so old that Adobe would come out with a Camera Raw update that wasn't compatible with it. So I've got to assume this is my problem and I'm just a bit irritated. Is my CS4 seriously that outdated?
Would you recommend that I revert to an earlier version of LR and CR and stick with my CS4, or just bite the bullet and get the updated CS5 (I really didn't want to spend the cash at the moment). Or am I wrong about the Camera Raw 6.6 issue and is there another reason I can't move my images into PS?
