I'm looking for a photo editing software program to combine my burst photos from my GoPro Hero 2 camera into a single photo. Will Photoshop Lightroom allow me to accomplish this.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have one hard disk filling up with photos, so I have purchased a secondary hard disk to expand my storage. I would like to move my shoots from 2010 to that new hard disk, but I don't want to loose all of the edits saved on them in LR3. I have experimented with moving non-important images that have edits on them, then re-importing them. Unfortunately, LR3 does not preserve that history.

The error message reads "cannot complete your request because of a program error" -- it is a very large file (I have been saving it all along) and I had just "flattened layers" and went to open up a new, blank photo file when it shut down. When I expode or burst them, the dims text and arrows grow larger than is required for the block and I cannot find any adjustment in the properties to bring them back to the correct size for the detail. Also the leaders lose their point and association with their text and become just a line.
Is there a command that will allow me to edit the block without loosing the current sizing and associations?
I have Photoshop CS3 and CS5 Extended on my computer. CS3 is the default external editing program Lightroom 5 chose to use to open files during initial setup, which causes selections such as "Open as Smart Object or Merge to Panorama" to be grayed out. How can I change the default to CS5 Extended, short of removing the CS3 version on my system?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter editing a photo in an external application, only the original raw file can be seen. The edited photo is hidden, even when searched for by name.
I have been reduced to the following workaround, which has the drawback of deleting all the original raw (.cr2) edits: Edit the photo; edit in external application; save and close. Back in lightroom, delete the raw file (from lightroom only); then close lightroom, reopen it and then at last I can see my edited file. Then I have to re-import the raw file and of course the edits have disappeared. But at least the final result can be seen.
The photos are supposed to be in a stack, but there appears to be a bug in this function because you can only ever see the raw file.
This is a kind of ”HDR”-process done in just 8 small simple steps using GIMP.
What you need is three identical photos where each one has its own exposure – one normal(1), one under exposed(2) and the third over exposed(2). On my Canon 550D this is done with the EAB function. When the process is finished in GIMP the best exposures of each image will appear. The principle for the process is to use the fact that all dark areas in a layer mask will create transparency in the current layer.

2. Archive – Open as Layer: image 2
3. Layers dialog (right click the layer 2) - Add layermask
4. Add mask to layer dialog, choose Grayscale copy of layer and klick Add
This mask will filter all dark shadows and make the layer transparent in those areas.
5. Archive – Open as Layer: image 3
6. Layers dialog (right click the layer 3) - Add layermask
7. Add mask to layer dialog, choose Grayscale copy of layer, mark ”Invert” and click Add
This mask will filter all highlights and make the layer transparent in those areas. Try mode Normal or Addition
8. Merge all visible layers.*

10. Now you can threat and manipulate the image as one image and save it.
*Further more; before merging you can adjust levels (Color - Levels) for each layer mask as well as opacity (Layers dialog) for each layer to fine tune layers for the final image.

I finished two layers and just as I was about get going on my third layer, I made a mistake and did something to the threshold. I didn't remember what I had it on (well, it was on the default setting) so i put it back to 141 and decided to continue with my work. but then I realized that I couldn't select anything.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'd like to combine two different RAW exposure settings into a single JPEG. I've done this in the past by importing two RAW files at different exposure values, then selecting from one photo, feathering, and copy/paste into the other photo. This proved to be very time consuming and no where near perfect.
I thought Photoshop CS2's "Merge to HDR" function would be ideal for automating this process, but it won't take the two different RAW imports as input because it knows they're from the same photo.
Can you import photos into lightroom 4.3 from a cd that has backup photo on it.

When opening my jpeg photos in Photoshop elements 9, once saved elements seems put the image in a format that my Apple Mac isn't compatible with. So when I then try and upload the images to Facebook or other software in a bulk upload the images are highlighted and I therefore can't select them and upload.

Today I hit Previous and the selected photo AND every photo after it gets adjusted.
What could I have possibly hit to change the behavior of the button?
How can I export only one selected photo out of all synced photos? Every time I try it exports every one.
