Video was viewed in 2013 in LR 4, but after install of CC and LR 5, playback is not functioning.Tried restarting LR 5, the HDD dedicated catalog and exporting a test file. The above error message occurred while trying to reimport the test video (.avi) file.
While in grid view, when curser moves over the thumbnail, image seems to fast forward. After clicking twice on the thumbnail, there is no image in Loupe view. There is kind of a weird black, white and gray graphic.One attempt to start playback resulted in this error message in white text on a black banner, " There was an error working with the video."
Lightroom :: 4 Can't See The Maps
Apr 20, 2012I have installed LR4 X64 on a brand new Windows 7 ultimate laptop. I can't see the maps. I have updated to LR4.1 RC still can't see the maps. I have checked the firewall logs and added LR to allowed programs. Still no luck. I have turned the firewall (Windows) off. Still no luck. All other app access the internet OK. Other features in LR can access the internet OK, e.g. ftp to my website. I have searched google and this seems to be a problem for others with the X64 version.

Lightroom :: 5.2 Map Module Not Displaying Maps
Sep 28, 2013I am having all sorts of problems with Lightroom 5.2 and wish I'd just stayed with Lightroom 4. I've already posted about not being able to import directly from an SD card in my laptops reader, and have at least found a work around to that (copy files to hard drive them import - I see others have found the same thing and it works just fine).
Now I have realised that the map screen in the map module is blank. I had this problem initially with Lightroom 5, and then it seemed to resolve itself. It is refusing to resolve itself in Lightroom 5.2 however. I've searched on the web for similar problems, and have found some responses to blank map screens in Lightroom 4, but they are so technical I haven't got a clue where to start trying to follow them.
So, I am a simple soul who needs a simple answer. I am using LR 5.2 on an HP laptop running Windows 7. In the map module, where I already have GPS data (from a Canon EOS 6D) it is displayed in the metadata, and the little pop up box shows the number of photos at selected locations etc. But the central map screen is black. If I search, the screen stays black although it appears as though it has gone to the location. The Navigator screen is blank too. And yes, I am connected to the internet and LR5.2 seems to be able to find the internet (I checked by going into the web module).
I like to put GPS locations on my photos prior to upload to Flickr, and whereas they are there from photos from my 6D, they don't exist for photos taken on my Canon Powershot.

Using Google Maps on the web is as snappy as expected. Would installing Google Earth worth?
Lightroom :: No Longer Connecting To Photoshop / When Choose To Edit In Photoshop
Apr 16, 2013any editing I do in photoshop will now seem to need to be manually added to Lightroom...which I do not even want to contemplate. When I rightclick on an image and select Edit in --> Photoshop CS6, nothing happens...Photoshop does not open as it used to. I'd thought it might be Nik Collection trial or OnOne photo suite trial I'd installed, but I uninstalled both and restarted my computer, and the problem still exists. I'm using the current creative cloud version of both lightroom and photoshop.

Dec 12, 2012I need to connect a rapport with others(print on fabric for textile industry). It looks like a mosaic, however the pieces doesn't connect side by side at the same height, but side by side sometimes higher, sometimes lower.
The thing is: when I try put then together the limit of the layers create an edge that prevents connection. I'm sending some images to try to make this clear: 1- all layers together with the thin line between the 2- closer to junction 3- closer 3200% to see what really happens.

I can create motion and axes constrains but it still lacks teath meshing. I found some tutorial how to create differential drive, it works with downloaded gears but not with one that I create (it says to set imates to visible which does nothing and alt-move mesh imates toghether which also do not work). I work with 2009 and 2011 versions.

AutoCad :: Connecting Lines And Circles
Mar 21, 2011Im having a little issue with connecting lines and circles but not sure how to shorten the question to do a search on here. I have 2 concentric circles (the two circles form the walls of a round tower wall) which have 2 lines (representing a wall) passing through them. I want to join the circles from the circumference to the lines, but each time I try to do it the line seems to default to the center of the circles and to the endpoints of the lines which is not what I want. The eventual aim will be to remove a section of the circles and the lines where the new line connects to them to form an opening in the walls.
Ive tried <shift>right click and selecting tangent on the circles but I cant figure out what to do on the lines and it constantly defaults to the end of the line not to where I want to intersect the lines.

May 13, 2012I have a curved path. I want to add on to this path with another curve. I know how to make another curved line, but I don't know how to make it to where the final product (when both the paths are connected) nice and smooth. Currently I'm having to try and do it by eye (I'm trying to make it as smooth as possible by looking at the first path and making the curve on the second path as close as I can).

On the left hand side when I fillet, it connects C to E instead of A to C and I do not know why it is doing that or what I am doing wrong.
