when i export the pictures alone, they are fine, but when exported in a slideshow they look dull and faded. The black appears about 70% gray (just guessing) and the colors lack any vibrance. Repeat: i have no trouble with the pictures when i export them individually. The preview looks beautiful: black black and snappy colors.
i am not seeing any options on export except as pdf or video, and i've tried changing the resolution to the highest to no avail.
it's embarrassing, because i gave them as gifts to my neighbor's family. They were shots of their mother's beautiful flower-garden on the day she passed.
I have created several slideshows in LR4. I am trying to put them on a DVD to play on my TV. Dont have Apple TV. Is it possible to export them as videos to a DVD, and if so, how do I do this?
I need to create several versions of a slide show with captions in different languages. I placed all pictures for this slide show in different collections, hoping that changes to the captions are effective only in the collection where they were applied. That is not the case. A change applied to one caption is carried to all copies of that images in the catalog.
Trying to export a slideshow I made in LR4 to Facebook using the Publish Services option. I made my slideshow and exported in one fo the formats that said it was optimized for web publishing and Facebook. I then dragged the slideshow to my Facebook publishing service, and it shows up as ready to publish.
I have a timing problem when exporting slideshows to video, they just drift out of sync. Using 'fit to music' the preview syncs perfectly but the pictures overrun by about 4% when exported to an MP4 file. I can correct this by clipping the show and dissolve times manually but that means doing the maths and rendering it out (several times) to get it perfect.
Is it possible to stop the PDF slideshow exports from LR from automatically advancing? I want it to remain on the slides until I hit the cursor button (like I can do from within LR.) My pdf slideshows, however, keep auto-advancing. I can get it to advance FASTER in either direction by hitting the cursor buttons, but I can't "stop" it from auto-advancing completely, which is what I want.
The LR slideshow export page says that "Adobe Acrobat transitions use a fixed speed," but I thought that this meant that you couldn't change the speed of the transition itself. Can you also not change the "rate of advancing" to the next slide?
I have been using Slideshow Pro to export slideshows for the web from Lightroom but these cannot be viewed on apple devices. Are there any slide show plugins that can be publish for apple devices?
when I mix 720p and 1080p videos in a slideshow the "zoom to fil frame" option does not behave as expected. The videos occupy different areas of the screen while presenting. 1080p fills the whole screen, 720p videos only a part of the screen. So no filling at all. Bug or feature?
I recently had my hard drive replaced by Apple and did a clean install of my programs, no Time Machine.
I have LR 4.3 and CS5. I have always chosen the Edit in PS CS5 option from LR for editing individual RAW files. When I save my photo in PS, I save it as a jpg. Once back in LR, I would have to synchronize the folder in order to import that new jpg and it would show up alongside the original RAW file. Well now, after upgrading to 4.3, synching won't see that new photo that was created. It IS in Finder, but LR doesn't see it.
I have expanded stacks and no filters. Is there anything else I have to do?
If I use Filters/Metadata/File Type, no jpg's appear.
The only way I can see the photo is if I use the Text filter and write .jpg.
How can I get the jpg to show alongside the original RAW file again??
I'm also getting the "File must be saved as a copy"in the PS dialogue, when I save as jpg. Before, it would just save it as the file type is different.
I just purchased LR5 as an upgrade from 4. I was noticing my images were quite smooth when exporting to Jpeg with LR4. It seems now there is alot more graininess that wasn't the issue before.
I'm using Windows 8 and LR 4.3. My watermark does not appear on exported images eventhough the box is checked in the export presets. Also many typefaces available in MAC are not in Windows. Where I might find the same typeface I use on my Macbook and add to Windows?
i just noticed that changing the PPI from 240 (taken with my Canon) to 100 and exporting the photos to JPEG sized as 2MP have no change at all in size. Shouldn't 100PPI be smaller in size?
I have clipped the start and end locations on some videos. I then export them with the Vidoe setting of "Original". This is suppost to only maintain the original aspect ratio and FPS.
When I view the exported video it is the same as the original, with the clipped start and end points..If I export to a different format then the edits are included.
I downloaded photos from my camera into lightroom. When I try to export them to a lightroom folder I have created on the HD, the process exports the photos, but when I go to the folder, it does not show the photos. When I repeat the process, it states that the photos are there (but I can not see the recent ones I just added)
One of my wedding clients has just told me that *some* (about 1-2%) of the small JPEGs from her wedding don't contain any photo - they're just white - although the thumbnail displayed in exporer is fine.
To produce the small jpegs, I import the large JPEGs into a LR catalog and export them at a different size. (don't ask why - I have a good reason for doing this).
I have LR5.3. I've only just noticed this. Not sure if it's been this way for a while or not. When I export from LR and make JPGs as sRGB they are more saturated. Also, when I view in the Web panel the images are more saturated. Is this normal?
I have been using previous version of LR and never had this problem. Image is not sharp and noise filter doesn't seem to be applied when I do my export. It looks completely different on a Dev Module.
I am producing some slideshows for distribution as PDFs. It works fine apart from not repeating when it gets to the end of the slideshow. I have the repeat option checked in Lightroom.
My photos are stored on an external HDD and have the usual size (like 5 MB/JPEG) on that harddisc.
When i develop and export a photo in LR (Settings in Export-Window: 100%/JPEG) i do get files of very small sizes (like 100kb) and low quality in my export-folder, but i'd like to export them in higher quality.
What can be done or what am i doing wrong? I thought LR would use the full-size photos and apply the development changes to them but i got the feeling it uses my "minimal previews" somehow.
When i import them back into Lightroom 4 they look darker (as they originally were in LR before export). I calibrate my monitor with Spyder 4 pro each month and i have had no problems printing on my Epson r2000 either and have always had accurate prints.
I maybe imaginging things, but it only seems to be with certain photos (most noticably high ISO astrophotography images). I went through old astro shots this week from over a year ago and thats when i noticed the problem. The expoted files are massively brighter than in Lightroom I am at a loss as to what to do. The display profile on my mac is set to the latest monitor calibration. I havent changed anything in LR but i did get rif of a load of crap on my computer this week as it was becoming slow after updating to OS 9 (mackeeper, dropboxes but nothing i could imagine would relate to LR).
I have been using Lr for years and recently upgraded to 4.4 from 2.7. Now, when I export my images, they appear blown out and I do not have any changes marked in the export dialog box.
Using Lr4.1 on PC w/ win7pro laptop with external NEC multisync mmonitor-calibrated, I've taken Raws made LR adjustments, then imported 3-10 images into photoshop layers for masking, merges, few if any color changes. Then save as all layers as a psd, then flatten the psd and save as a tiff. When I open in LR for any other minor tweaks, sharpening, dust spots, and do an export into SRGB or Adobe rgb, the colors are terrible. Look nothing like what I see in LR. I've heard people have minimal issues, but I am having major changes, many times the collors will become dull and flat or very saturated when viewed. As an architectural photographer I need these colors close to what I took. If I edit in CR into PS I don't have this problem. I assume its related to the prophoto RGB color changing, but I really don't know what's going on with the color space. The color will appear different from my laptop monitor to the NEC by a lot which I understand a pro monitor will show more colors, but the color space shift is making a lot of work done in LR useless if I have to redo it all in CR. How can I get LR to export the colors I see in LR into a srgb jpg and Adobe tiff?
I am new to the forum, but not new to LR. I already use it since 2.2, until version 2 was discontinued I used 2.7. I was perfectly happy with it, which is why I upgraded to LR5 a while ago. Now while the functionality is great I do have quite some issues with stability of the programm.
My biggest problem is another one, and it is really annoying + frustrating:
After having processed all pictures I export them to JPG, for that I select the picutures and the through the export item in the menue (the usual way).
- LR starts processing - LR shows progress bar - LR finishes BUT out of let's say 100 pictures (as an example) I get always get less pictures exported, sometimes only 20% exported, somtetimes 50% etc. (at ramdom, I cannot see any rule here). If I then do the "export as previous" and skip already available picutes I get the same issue.
Since LR 5.3 the issue is really bad, as for appr. 100 pictures I need 10- 15 runs until they alre all processed.
Sometimes it works to close LR and reopen it, then the number of picutres increases ==> looks a bit like a memory issues. But hey, I do NOT get ANY message that picutures have not been exported or allike. System finishes "a normal" just when checking the result I see that I miss photos. Also: missing photos are at ramdom out of the selection (not all at end or all in the beginning).
My system is a Intel I7 Windows 7 (32bit) German version, with LR 5.3 in German installed, I am using a 250GB SSD for the operating system and the programms + a 1 TB HD for the pictures and LR catalogs.
