Lightroom :: Plug-in That Allows Export Of Slideshows To Be Seen On IPads?
Oct 30, 2011
I have been using Slideshow Pro to export slideshows for the web from Lightroom but these cannot be viewed on apple devices. Are there any slide show plugins that can be publish for apple devices?
I have built many websites for artists over the last 10 years and have mostly used Lightroom Flash based gallery templates as the tool for displaying artworks in portfolios. Everyone has been happy with these flash based templates, they have a look and feel which is preferable to the simple HTML templates. Also their customisation abilities are good to tailor to each artists work and preferences.
Increasingly, these artists are getting complaints and negative feedback that their galleries are not working through Ipads (as Ipads don't support flash). Most want to keep their galleries as they currently look and feel as they are happy with the design, however they want people to able to view their work.
provide a conversion utility or better still, provide their standard historic flash based web templates in a html5 version that will seemlessly work with all forms of browesrs, including ipads and iphones.
We dont want to change to look of the templates, although more dynamic HTML5 templates would also be nice, we just want to keep what we have working with changing technology.
I want to export my created Slide Shows made in Photoshop 7 to My Vidieos File on my computer c drive, but it seems that the only option I have is to send it as a WMV Movie file. However, this way loses to much resolution and as I want it transported at high quality, is there any way I can send it that way, say, as a mpeg formatt?
I have created several slideshows in LR4. I am trying to put them on a DVD to play on my TV. Dont have Apple TV. Is it possible to export them as videos to a DVD, and if so, how do I do this?
when i export the pictures alone, they are fine, but when exported in a slideshow they look dull and faded. The black appears about 70% gray (just guessing) and the colors lack any vibrance. Repeat: i have no trouble with the pictures when i export them individually. The preview looks beautiful: black black and snappy colors.
i am not seeing any options on export except as pdf or video, and i've tried changing the resolution to the highest to no avail.
it's embarrassing, because i gave them as gifts to my neighbor's family. They were shots of their mother's beautiful flower-garden on the day she passed.
I need to create several versions of a slide show with captions in different languages. I placed all pictures for this slide show in different collections, hoping that changes to the captions are effective only in the collection where they were applied. That is not the case. A change applied to one caption is carried to all copies of that images in the catalog.
Trying to export a slideshow I made in LR4 to Facebook using the Publish Services option. I made my slideshow and exported in one fo the formats that said it was optimized for web publishing and Facebook. I then dragged the slideshow to my Facebook publishing service, and it shows up as ready to publish.
I have a timing problem when exporting slideshows to video, they just drift out of sync. Using 'fit to music' the preview syncs perfectly but the pictures overrun by about 4% when exported to an MP4 file. I can correct this by clipping the show and dissolve times manually but that means doing the maths and rendering it out (several times) to get it perfect.
Is it possible to stop the PDF slideshow exports from LR from automatically advancing? I want it to remain on the slides until I hit the cursor button (like I can do from within LR.) My pdf slideshows, however, keep auto-advancing. I can get it to advance FASTER in either direction by hitting the cursor buttons, but I can't "stop" it from auto-advancing completely, which is what I want.
The LR slideshow export page says that "Adobe Acrobat transitions use a fixed speed," but I thought that this meant that you couldn't change the speed of the transition itself. Can you also not change the "rate of advancing" to the next slide?
when I mix 720p and 1080p videos in a slideshow the "zoom to fil frame" option does not behave as expected. The videos occupy different areas of the screen while presenting. 1080p fills the whole screen, 720p videos only a part of the screen. So no filling at all. Bug or feature?
I have been all over the Adobe website trying to find the camera raw plug for LR. Can't find the page to download. Just purchased LR5 and would to add this plug in
I'm using LR3 (still) with plug-ins for PS and Nik Dfine. Whenever I use either plug-in and return to LR, a "loading" update occurs about every 15 seconds for about a second. This is especially annoying during Brush operations. It not only interrupts what you're doing, but if caught in the middle of a Brush stroke, that stroke is gone when "loading" ends; and if you were in Erase, the brush gets reset to Brush A/B.
My system configuration:
i5 2500K (not overclocked), 2.3 Ghz8 MB RAMWindows 7 64-bit LR3, CS4, Dfine also 64-bitAll programs on SATA drive C (Samsung Spinpoint)Photo files on SATA drive F (Samsung Spinpoint)LR cache and catalog on 64 GB SSD drive G Cache 32 GBDrive space 75% free
This seems to be the one issue my upgrade to a home-built hasn't solved. Having just emptied my cache, I just performed a Dfine noise-reduction on a fresh raw file (Canon 7D), then opened up Brush in LR. Is there anything that can be done to improve performance with plug-ins?
I have Lightroom 4.3 and am using Windows 7, 64 bit, and wanted to use publish services with Facebook. Add photos to Facebook through Lightroom which is stated possible. When I try to utilize it, I am told under the Mozilla Firefox that
" it doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (lightroom) isn't associated with any program. You might need to install other software to open this address."
I'm attempting to set up the Facebook plug-in in LR4. I get as far as logging into Facebook, and clicking "allow" on the permissions page. Then LR4 attempts to go to: URL....
which of course, fails and LR complains that it did not receive the authorization token from Facebook.
Is there a lightroom web gallery plug in where it creates a gallery where people can just check the box/like their favorite photos and then I can see what has the top votes?
I've seen a number of ways to dynamically load the retina version of an image (with @2x appended to the filename), but none of them seem to work with Edge animations. I'm guessing this is because these solutions work within CSS and not within embedded javascript. Any method to dynamically load retina images based on the device?
When I use either Nik or onOne to edit a RAW file, if I chose to cancel using that plug-in, LR still creates a TIFF. Is there a way to prevent this (other than not using the plug-in)?
My computer was recently repaired to remove a would be virus and my PSE 12 plug in was missing from the external editing drop down? I thought I saved the instructions, but cannot find them. I remember where to go; just don't remember what I am looking for to choose?
Upgraded to 3.6 today. Published services Publish to Photoshelter (URL...) doesn't work. First I get: Your catalog must be updated before it can be used with the following plug-in:
and then: Could not upgrade your catalog for plug-in metadata. The plugin-specific metadata in this catalog is newer than the what the installed version of this plugin supports. That's a deal-breaker for me, unless there's a way around it.
I have Lightroom 4.4 and I would like to add plugins for burning, dodging, layers and filters. Which plugins would I need to do this things and where would I get them?
There are three "plug-in extras" menu items in various places (one in file, one in library and one in help) in the library mode. Do they have different functions?
is there any way to prevent lightroom 4 to apply auto settings to the image after it is returned from treatment in a plugin? Typically, I would launch SFX or other plugins from LR4 by specifying "submit a copy of the image with LR adjustments". When finished, the result image is returned to LR4 and auto settings are applied to it, as if it was freshly imported. This is very annoying. I have every time to reset all settings manually (exposure, whites, blacks, etc) one by one. Is there a way to treat plugin returns differently from importing images from a disk/card?
I am trying to put music into my slideshow from ITunes. I know that I can get the songs from other media types but would prefer not to have to do that.
Win 8.1 64 bit A Toshiba Satellite laptop, LR 5.3. When I try to export I get a window without export buttons at the bottom to do the export. Further if I try to resize the export window the export window disappears and LR freezes requiring to ctrl/alt/del to close it. I cannot export anything to HD or email, etc.
I was in a class last night where everyone had Macs and the buttons appeared on their versions and worked fine. Totally repeatable. I can supply screen shots.
I've created various snapshots of a series of photos and I'm ready to export. Is there a way to export all the snapshots at once, in a single export step? Up to now, I've been doing this step by step, exporting one version of the image, than going to the next snapshot and exporting again.
