I was excited about the book module's "Save as Custom Page" as a solution to preview book we have our lab produce but it seems that several settings are not saved. My intention is for the file name to be under each image but the "Photo Text" checkbox does not stay enabled. Nor, do the zoom settings for the images boxes.
Does "save as custom page" only remember paddding settings and ignore everything else?

Aug 27, 2013I'm doing a presentation of various photos and I'd like to include a different text overlay in each one. However, LR only seems to allow me to apply one caption to all the photos. How can I have a different caption on each photo?

Mar 30, 2012Other than the cover template, there doesn't seem to be any page template that allows you to put type directly over a photo -- which can be a useful graphic technique. I know I could do it in Photoshop, and import it into Lightroom, but that wouldn't allow for easy chages in text type or color, etc. and would be an interruption of the book module's workflow. It would be nice to be able to add a text box to a page. Can it now be done and I just haven't found the way?

Nov 11, 2012After finally running out of space on my computer I've shifted my photo library onto an external hard drive. I did this outside of lightroom as I did not expect there to be too many complications
There is a general folder named "Photos" and within are the sub folders for the photos. I did a simple drag and drop from my computer to the hard drive and expected Lightroom to simple show the new directory in the folder panel.
What would be the simplest way to re-access the files since moving them to the new hard drive?

Feb 7, 2007i'm trying to clear up a photo. Basically, my friend took a photo (not scanned, but an actual photo) of a story he wrote in the form of printed text pasted onto a sheet of paper. Well, we need to know what it says pretty much word by word, and he doesn't have the file he printed it from or the paper anymore. The photo isn't the best quality ever, and while some of the text is readable, a lot of the text is barely so or not at all. Feb 7, 2013I'm all thumbs when it comes to photo editing. I have a simple question and I'm not sure how to phrase it.
I have d/l a photo, and used Paint.NET to place text onto the photo. So far so good.
Is there a way (or a particular file format) that will allow me to go back, after the photo has been saved, and edit (delete or move) the text that I have already entered onto the photo? I tried with JPG and PNG, and after saving the photo with text on it, I was unable to delete or move it.
Is there any way I can work it so that I can edit text, that has already been saved? I have attached a copy of the photo here--to get it under the 256K limit, I had to shrink it.
