Apr 15, 2012I downloaded Lightroom 4.0 and upgraded from 2.6, can I safely uninstall 2.6 after 4.0 is installed?

Jun 28, 2009I recently installed CS4 upgrade on my laptop and would now like to uninstall the version of CS2 that I have been using.Will removing CS2 remove any shared files that are necessary for CS4 to work properly? The reason for removing CS2 is that I am quickly running out of available disk space on drive C. As a side question, is it possible to delete CS4 from my laptop and re-install it on my D drive (how wil that affect my activation?)

I got the CS5 upgrade, and installed it without problems. I have copied over various actions and other customizations from the CS4 installation folders to the CS5 installation folders, installed 3rd party plug-ins into CS5, etc.So to save on Disk space, I want to Uninstall CS4 (and with it Bridge Version 4 as well).

I've done some searching here, and apparently this is potentially not as straightforward as one would expect. Various problems have been reported, apparently confirmed by Adobe personnel, that Uninstall CS4 also removes CS5 files, rendering it unable to run, etc.

So - what is the proper procedure to follow to successfully Uninstall CS4 without creating problems for CS5? Do I need to deactivate the license for CS4? What other specific steps?

Aug 29, 2012I uninstalled Lightroom, because it was too slow on my computer. It put a lot of library files and directories in My pictures folder.

When I use a backup program (SyncbackSE) to backup my pictures, it starts to scan all the Lightroom library files and it takes forever (hours and counting). Even though Windows cannot find the directories (with hidden and system files shown). I want to completely delete the Lightroom directories, because now I can't backup my images anymore. It is a pain in the dark places.

When I click Photo>Edit In, the option for Photoshop and all of the other related Photoshop options, such as Merge to Panorama, etc., are not active, so clicking on them does nothing. This occurs when Photoshop is open. It's as if Photoshop is not installed. Is there something I need to do to ensure that Lightroom 5 recognizes that Photoshop is installed?

I'm not sure whether the problem is that Lightroom does not recognize that Photoshop is installed or that there is some problem that prevents access to Photoshop from Lightroom.

Dec 16, 2012I installed an ICM profile from Red River paper in attempt to improve printing from LR by allowing LR to manage colors. Probably should not have done this because I am using Canon s9000 printer and Canon paper but I could not find Canon profiles anywhere on internet (for this printer). In any case, end result is horrific but I can't "reset" or uninstall.

Jun 11, 2012 I managed to get my catalog transferred from Elements 8 and it is now working well. Feeling confident in the Library module I went to move on to the Develop module and now I have another problem, the photos are not showing up to edit. They are visible in the film strip and the top left corner, but not the actual screen. All the metadata is also available.

Possibly a related problem (which may also need a resolution) is:While all the data is there in Library module it is showing metadata conflict for many photos.

BTW some additional information which may be relevant.
-I have already upgraded to 4.1.
-I have the photos on a network drive.
-Photos are Raw DNG format
