Lightroom :: Round Tripping Photoshop Could Not Save As?
Mar 21, 2012
When using the "edit in" feature in Lightroom 3 & 4 to pass the RAW file to photoshop cs 5 the image appears in Photoshop. However, when editing is complete and I use the Save command I receive message in a dialog box saying " Could not save as "D:users.......2012.tif because the file could not be found"
Â
Additionally when passing files from Lightroom to Photoshop a new Dialog box opens regarding the compatibiliy of the Camera Raw Plug in. This I understand may be resolved in time, but if I press the "Render in Lightroom" button I get a Lightroom dialog box saying " Lightroom was unable to prepare the selected files at " D:users Etc Etc". It will not be opened. The files are Canon Raw CR2 from a 7D.
Â
I have fully uninstalled both Photoshop and Lightroom and then reinstalled them in an effort to resolve this but I was unsuccessfully. The only way to save is to use Save As which seems to work with Tiff files being created.

This happens every time i send a file (dynamic link) to Audition and back. It screeches for about a second, and it's absolutely above threashold hearing. It does this everytime I round trip a file.
How many lousy noise issues is adobe going to have? I had studio headphones on this morning and the noise was well above threashold. I've never had an issue like this in ANY other software in my 12 years as an editor. Can't there be some safety feature to protect users hearing? I hear nothing but ringing right now, and I certainly am done editing for the day.

I have gotten to a point where I have the round text,, I have a seal with a blank space.. I would like to put the round text into the blank space,, but when I try, and no matter how I try,, the text is a white square with round text on it when I try to place it in the circle.
The other thought that came to me,, what if ..(the text circle size was a guess) the text does not fit.. how do I expand or collape it? I know I have in the pass while playing with round text.. gone back to that effect and changed angles, start points etc.. is that the only way?
I have attached what I have so far. ( I tried to attach the Paint.net file but I guess you can't, so these are the two I am working on,, as layers in Paint.net)

When I export a file from Lightroom 4 to Photoshop Elements 11 to edit. I make my edits, then click "Save." For some reason it opens the "Save-As" dialog box. How can I fix this so that I only click "Save" and then let the file return to Lightroom?

I filled a transparent layer with blue sky, opened another layer and used the elliptical marquee tool to draw a round sun, and filled with yellow. I then blurred the edges with a simple keystroke, but can't remember what I did.

I'm editing photographs of tabletop ceramics - plates, etc. and often images are shot off center and I have to make them round.I use the Filter Lens Correction Feature with some success and the Warp feature to fine tune - but it's all eyeballing the image which isn't accurate.
Â
Any feature for this process or a grid that will enable me to ensure they are round? Windows CS5 Photoshop -

I know just enough to get by in Photoshop but have had zero training, so I tend to jimmy rig everything until it looks okay. I am stumped on this one though.
I bought a web template and am modifying the images to what I need them to be. I can not for the life of me figure out how they did this rounded corner and shadowing on the corner. I can easily, manually copy the two lines going up the sides of the image. (Jimmy rig) ... but I can't seem to get the corner to look right.
I know it looks like a drop shadow, but you'd need to know all the colors and exact settings to copy that drop shadow and all i have is the finished product.

I know you can edit corners and angles for rectangles and elipses ut is there a way to do it for other shapes?
More specifically, there is a 8 pointed star shape that I want to give more curved points. Is this possible or should I just use the original as a 'template' and and draw it myself?

I have attached a small section of the entire image. You can see it appears to have a number of balls on it. Each 'ball' is on a seperate layer. I need to make each one look like a marble. I have used the sphearise option with no joy.

I use Photoshop 7.0, I use the marquee tool frequently. It always used to have straight corners, but the past week it has started to automatically do round corners. I haven't changed any settings. Why does this happen? I can mention that I use InDesign CS2. I have worked a lot with rectangles with round corners there recently, but every time changed the corners manually. After a couple of weeks though the program started to automatically change every rectangle to round corners. I didn't know how to change this, but after a couple of weeks it went back to straight corners automatically. I use Windows Vista. Initially there was some problems to make it go with Photoshop and InDesign, but now it works fine most of the time.
