Lightroom :: Relink CR2 To DNG?

I am a long time canon shooter and I have always been ok with the CR2 format.My catalog recently started growing rapidly (100.000+), and I found myself convinced by the usefulness of the DNG format.Hence, I downloaded the Adobe DNG converter and started converting alot of folders pictures, happy to see my a bit of load taken off my disks.After converting a good deal of my pictures, I started what I thought would be a simple re-linking of meedia as I am used to from Pr and Ae.I get the message from lightroom that the photos cannot be found.

I get minor panic attacks at the mere possibility of no being able to relink my directories and this loosing my edits..Most of the original CR2 have been deleted.Conversion was done using Lossless settings while NOT embedding the original CR2 file (as this would pretty much defy the purpose of converting for space)
