Lightroom :: Orange Filter Colour Comes Through On Images Loaded To Computer From Camera

Mar 11, 2012

I uploaded some mono images from my Canon EOS5D(2) taken with an orange filter. Previous uploads have been fine. This time, after showing the mono images in the catalogue they all convert spontaneously to orange images of various shades - and the images also show colours. The camera setting was correct, on checking, for mono uploads and, in any case, never a problem before. What have I done wrongly - and is there any rescue? Lightroom is v2.7.

Lightroom :: Loading Photos - Colour And Exposure Looks Different Than In A Camera?

Jan 22, 2013

when importing photos (raw files) to Lightroom they look very different than in the camera. At the very beginning photo looks more or less the same and then, a message „Loading…” is displayed and in a result the photo looks differently. It looks like with imposed dimmer yellow/red filter, higher contrast, much lower sharpness and what is most important, they are all overexposed sort of.  The screen settings are as sRGB, ICC profile: sRGB IEC61966-2.1. I am using DSLR Sony A700 that save photos in ARW format, Lightorrom just updated to version 4.3 .

Lightroom :: 4.1RC2 No Export Colour Fringe Correction To CS5 Camera Raw 6.7RC?

The new colorfringe correction method in Lightroom 4.1 RC2 works fine even for difficult longitudinal CA when used with care. After basic adjustments I normally export my raw file to CS5 for further editing. However found out that even after the Camera Raw update to 6.7 RC my Lightroom colorfringe adjustments were not transfered to CS5.

: but do we require to buy CS6 with Camera Raw 7 to open the raw image with Lightroom corrections for colorfringes maintained?

However, after I've uploaded my images into LR3 and switch to the 'Develop' module, the images are mixed up (I assume they are ordered by time taken.) How can I filter them by camera model in the image strip at the base of the module? Also, how does the 'Camera Info' option filter? And can it be set?

GIMP :: Apply Colour Filter To Transform One Colour To Another

Jun 24, 2011

I am working on a website that has existing template images. One of these in particular has a predominate blue background colour, specifically #0a2a35 (195 81 21 [HSV], 10 42 53 [RGB], 81 21 0 79 [CMYK]). I want to transform this colour to an orange colour, #be5d27 (21 79 75 [HSV], 190 93 39 [RGB], 0 51 79 25 [CMYK]). At the same time, I want to change the lighter and darker blue accent colours of the image to become variations of the orange colour.

I have tried several things already, and one method that almost worked for me was using the "Colorize" tool to match the HSV values of the blue colour to orange colour. It almost works except the RGB values don't quite match up.

Lightroom :: Delete Images From Catalog That Are No Longer On Computer?

Dec 13, 2012

Something went wront on an ingest of my images. I think I tried correcting it by going into my /workingfiles folder were they were stored and deleting them manually. I'm sure I checked to see if I could do it through Lightroom, but maybe I missed the folder they were put in. I am guessing that is what happened so Lightroom still has a small image of them somewhere and will no longer let me re-import them.

Lightroom :: How To Filter On Images That Have Been Modified

Nov 28, 2011

I'm looking to filter on images that have been modified since the import.  The modification could be within lightroom, or external.  I have a filter setup for external files, but I can't figure out what filter to use to show files that have been modified inside lightroom.

Hopefully my request makes sense.  I find I am making more changes in Lightroom (3.5) these days, and would like to filter (without setting flags/stars/colors/...) on images that I have already modified.  Is this possible?

Lightroom :: How To Filter Images Before Importing Them In LR

Apr 24, 2013

Is there a way to filter images before importing them in Lightroom?

ScenarioI work with an extensive image collection stored on a server. The images contain a full set of metadata, including keywords and more. When I work on a specific project, I import the images into a Lightroom collection. That way I can easily review, rate and add additional keywords to those best-of images.

The challenge is that the images I want to add are from numerous folders. Plus, I often only want to add some images from those folders (not the entire folder). This collection process can be very time consuming -- manually locating the images and checking/unchecking the ones I want and repeating the process for the different folders the images reside in.

The process could be greatly simplified (and a lot faster) if I could filter/search for images that contain key words or other metadata to find the full set of images I want to import.

The key is that I’m not using a workflow to simply import all images from a memory card or download folder. I’m working from a large collection of existing images and want to import a subset of those images.

Lightroom :: Creating 300 BW Versions Of Processed Colour Images

May 25, 2013

I've selected around 300 images from an intial shoot of 1200. I've assigned a star to the selected 300 and developed a colour image of each. Now, I need to make a BW version of each of the 300 images

What is the simplest way to do this? I have tried to make virtual copies of the selected 300 and assign 2 stars to enable me to keep the original 300 in colour and work on the soon to be BW versions, but when I do this I can only make a single virtual copy at a time. I'm sure it must be possible to select all 300 at once, and make 300 virtual copies somehow.

Is there a simple video demonstrating this workflow somewhere?

Lightroom :: Unable To Import Images From Camera?

Apr 13, 2013

I have been importing and editing photos from a Canon Powershot S3-IS and never had a problem until today. This is the first time I've tried it with the latest upgrade to lightroom.

I first tried importing from my camera memory card slot. Lightroom froze. Then I tried using my card reader and inserting that in the USB slot. Lightroom froze. I tried to connect the camera directly to the computer with the USB cord. Lightroom told me that it could not import the files.

I tried importing the images to my computer and then from my hard drive copying them into Lightroom. That worked. Is the camera too old to use with the latest update from Lightroom. I would think a jpg. file would be pretty standard. how to import to Lightroom without the extra step?
