Lightroom :: Importing Elements To 4.1
Jun 8, 2012I am trying to import my Eleemtns 6 catague into LR 4.1 and I cannot find the File>Upgrade Photoshop Elements Catalgo in the Library Mode. Am I missing something?

Lightroom :: Importing Catalog From Photoshop Elements 11?
Jan 21, 2013In lightroom, I press file/import from another catalog or from another application and get put into finder/pictures. I can't find the name of my elements catalog (which is pc Catalog). When I press on the one or two entries that mention the word catalog, I get sent back to lightroom where I'm told this is an invalid catalog.

Jan 8, 2014I recently purchased Photoshop Elements12 and Premiere Elements12, I also purchased Adobe's workbook "CLASSROOM IN A BOOK" (CIB). According to the setup process, CIB instructions call for downloading lesion files from the Peachpit web site, which was done successfully. These lesion files are identified as MP4 files and were placed an a directory. Following import procedures in the Photoshop Organizer which calls for highlighting the lesson files and clicking on "Get Media" nothing happened, no files appearing in the Organizer or no error messages.

Mar 25, 2013I've had Elements 11 for some time and can't use it as I can't seem to find a way to import an existing folder structure of images. It imports it flat, with every subfolder and parent folder listed on the same level, so my organisation is shot to hell. I'm sure it's me being dumb, (but in fact it's Elements being incredibly un-intuitive) but how to import an existing folder structure with many images, retaining the structure after import? Actually thinking about it, I can barely remember how to import at all, I found it quite difficult to achieve and I think I might have drag and dropped some files?

Apr 6, 2013I tired importing photos from one folder and about 300-400 of them weren't imported (out of about 1,000). I deleted them and tried again. Same thing. On the third try it imported all of them.My thought was maybe it's going to take more time importing images from my folders than learning to use the program. I can't learn the program if it keeps dropping images. I tried another directory of about 3,000 images but it only accepted about 300 of them. No matter how many times I tried, it would only import 300 out of the whole batch. These are good jpg files that all my other programs have no trouble with.

Jan 9, 2013I've just upgraded from Elements 4 to 11 using Mac OS 10.6 Previously, when I wanted to import an image from my Canon 8600F Scanner I went to File,Import,Canoscan 8600 and the Twain driver window appeared. No problem.Now with 11 this doesn't happen. It doesn't happen with either Editor or Organizer. A search on these pages shows a similar problem with Elements 10. I've carried out this procedure but it doesn't work. Why not? What is the point of this programme if it won't import from a scanner or am I missing something?

Everytime I try to import photos from iPhoto the import process will go through until it is almost finished, then a notification will pop up saying that the import failed. Once I click "OK" on that dialogue box a new box will pop up saying that a few (6) pictures were unable to be imported for various reasons, but that the rest of my pictures were imported. I am then unable to find any pictures anywhere in Photoshop Elements. I have tried to import photos 7 or 8 times with the same result everytime.

Nov 30, 2012I am using element 9 and am having problems importing files into the organizer . It has imported most of my images (jpg) from other folders. One folder does not import. I get a message saying the files are not supported or already imported. All the files are jpg's and none have been imported. I have changed the names of some of the files and then they get recognized and imported. Is there a maximum character name for files? How can I tell what files are not supported? The pop up window giving this information is so small I can't read the list. I removed anything from the folder that was not a jpg in case the import process stop when it encounters a file it does not recognize.

Dec 20, 2012I changed Adobe Elements version (from 10 to 11) and Brand New all-in-one Dell XPS computer that comes with Windows 8 as OS (From XP SP3) ... Now my import in Adobe Organzer gets stuck. Adobe Elements sees the camera, and compares the files on my camera to the photos in Organizer and knows how may are duplicates. I then select all the photos it finds as Non-Duplicates and tell it what directory to import into and select (Finish/Import) and it just sits there. I can change anything on that screen for options, but it really is locked up. I have to use Task Manager to end the task so that I can get back into Adobe Organizer.
