I am LR 2. I would like to check some shadows & highlights to see if they are blown out or hold enough info. In PS I look at the info pallet. LR does show me some values, but how do you convert them so they show up like PS percents? Right now I have to develope the image and take it into PS to see if it OK.
Yesterday Bridge would not let me move files without shutting the program down after it moved the file. Today, I cannot find my catalog in LR4.2, nor can I find the backup, even though it has backed up every day.
I edited a file in photoshop (CS4) "saved" not "save as" and imported it back into LR3 file was imported as DSC5677.psd while the original is DSC5677JPG. I cannot see the psd file in either library or develop models. How do I find/view the file?
I'm interested in identifying a set of pictures in a large catalog which have been edited. There's 44K images in the catalog.
Is there some way to make a collection of only the images that were modified in Lightroom? And conversely, only those images which were imported with no changes?
How can I found photos with manual lens correction (Lens Correction/Transform) or cointrain crop (Lens Correction/Transform/Constraint Cop) in LR 4.x ? I tried to do this with Smart Collection but I can't.
I have an external harddrive that I use all the time 24/7. All of a sudden everything that I had uploaded from the hard drive says it's "missing". I didn't move anything.
where do i find the action window? im trying to resize photos with an application from my photo club - i have the app in the folder but i need to make it available - they say i can do that in the action window but i can't find the action window
I transferred all of my photos to a larger external hard drive. I then reclined my folders in LR to the new external hard drive. Everything works fine, but I lost the keywords to the photos as well as the collections. How do I recover them?
And by the way a further question regarding keyword tags remains unanswered...Why is there a difference between the number next to the keyword and the actual index number in the keyword folder?
I have used Lightroom since the first edition. I understand the (?) and connecting missing links. I have done it before with no problem. I have a book and have tried every site I can find but I do not know what the problem is. I have whole folders of images showing the ? but when I try to locate they are not showing anywhere in my finder. There is a whole group from August to October 2012. I am at my wits end. Have spent two nights on this and am not sleeping.
I have a Fuji XE-1 camera and was pleased to see that this camera is listed as supported in ACR 7.4. However when I installed ACR 7.4 I cold not find the profile for my Fuji XE-1 in either Lightrrom 4 (or 5 Beta) or Photoshop CS6. I can find a profile for my old camera a Fuji X100 but not the new one.. I also use the standard Kit lens with this camera, the 18-55mm OIS F2.8-4 lens and it is not lsted either. Am I doing something wrong as I look for it under camera profiles. Is their a way to load them into ACR from an external website or are they "baked into" ACR 7.4?
I am using an iMac withg the latest version of Photoshop CS6, Lightroom 4 and OSX 10.8.3
I may be missing something entirely obvious, (indeed I often do), but I cant discover a way of using filters so I can see a dsiplay of pictures which I have not assigned to a collection?
on my LR 3. IT used to be right under "Histogram" and above "Tone Balance" in Deveolop and now it is simply gone! I dont know if it was because of software updates or ?
I am not sure how, but I ended up with duplicates in my library - probably a couple of hundred. I know there is a checkbox for not importing duplicates. Why is there not a duplicate finder for those already in the library? Or is there? Lightroom 4
I want a keyword hierarchy with "US" as parent keyword of 50 states name keywords. I have many images with state keywords, but I also have some images that are tagged only with "US" but no state tag, as they are not specific to a state.
How do I *easily* find only the images tagged "US" but with no state tags? Clicking on "US" in the keyword panel shows me all images tagged with "US" and all with state tags, but I just want the ones tagged "US".
I can use "Find" to find "US" images NOT CONTAINING "AL AK AR AS AZ..." by enumerating all 50 states, but that's a terribly awkward way filter out images tagged with state names. I can't see a button or filter that shows only the images with a parent tag but without child tags.
I am using Lightroom 4 and developed a picture in it last week. I saved the picture onto my desktop and sent it to my client. She loved the way it looked and wants other pictures to look the same way (tone/cold color, etc). I did not save the history as a preset before I exported it out. How can I get the history back from when I worked on it last week? Is it stored in the pictures data somewhere or do I have to try and recreate the image adjustments??
