I have AdobeRGB PSDs and camera RAW files, that I develop in LR and then export for web. Does LR default to a conversion to sRGB? I can't find a tick-box for this. All web images seem to get tagged sRGB, but I'm not sure whether this is a genuine colour space conversion, or merely a re-tagging.
View 3 RepliesHow do I convert the colour profile of a Lightroom custom printing package from Adobe Prophoto to sRGB before printing? For that matter, how do I save the thing? I have no interest in saving the template, or the collection separately, since neither has any use without the other. And without saving them as one finished item, I have no way to convert the colour profile of that item. I can see clearly from the appearance of the print preview that the above mentioned colour profile conversion is required.

All are in the Adobe RGB color space. I want to convert these same files to sRGB to use in a slide show. What are the steps to batch process this change? Is it using an action? Should I start with the TIFF folder or use the JPEG folder?

I think this might be an option if the profile is loaded into the colour setting (colour settings under edit menu as oposed to convert to profile and its convert to profile I have been trying to action. -Please open an image, then open the Action Tab (Window > Actions)

I'm aiming to take RAW photo files, edit them in a wide color space, and when posting them to the web, save them as sRGB.
My workspace is as follows:
I open RAW files in Photoshop via ACR as 16-bit ProPhoto smart objects. When I finish editing them, I use "Save for Web" with the "Convert to sRGB" and "Embed Color Profile" boxes checked.
Photoshop and Bridge tell me the profile in photos saved as such is sRGB as expected. When I upload to a site like flickr, however, the metadata says the photo is still in ProPhoto. See an example here: [URL]...If I use "Convert to Profile" and change it to sRGB, then upload to flickr, the metadata says the photo is in sRGB, as it should be.
I created a Web Gallery and forgot to update the folder name for the FTP server.
How can I update the saved gallery? If you change module and double click again on the saved gallery icon, the changes are lost.

Some years ago purchased CorelGallery 1,300,000. The vector clipart came in a .CCX format.
However, the Gallery browser no longer loads into my Service Packed Windows XP. Also XP and Vista cannot display .CCX thumbnails in their respective Explorers.
Today I discovered if I change the file type from .CCX to .CMX. the thumnail displays.
My challenge is how to covert about 500,000 files from one to the other en masse.
how can you work in adobe RGB and sRGB colours paces in LR 5. Why do my photos in prophoto colour space print so badly on my inkjet computer. If I am using the book module in LR 5 will Blurb be able to print them using prophoto colour spaces.

As I see it now is that while exporting to these color spaces, Lightroom uses the method as in Photoshop called Convert to Profile, which maintains the color appearance, but shifts the color numbers. High saturated colors will be clipped. Is this assumption correct? Is it possible to use in Lightroom the method Assign Profile, where the color numbers (and detail) are maintained?
View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to LR 3.6, DNG Profile Editor does not display previews correctly, if base profile is one of the "new technology" camera specific profiles (for example the v4 profiles for Nikon). It looks like the previews are not properly converted to sRGB for display.
I also noticed that if I decompile and then compile such a profile using dcptool of Chromasoft, the resulting profile generates very strange looking pictures.
With LR4 and a Nikon D7000.When i import that raw in lightroom, the first view of the picture is fine then LR do its "loading" and bang, the picture changes.As RAW is not supposed to be affected by the colorspace My understanding is the embeded preview in the raw is sRGB and LR work in a different colorspace. I have a set of JPEGs that have been stripped of their color profiles (AdobeRGB). Lightroom assumes that they are sRGB images and displays them incorrectly. Is there any function in the program that will let me embed the correct (AdobeRGB) profile to the photos, preferably without re-compressing them?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have over 900 barcodes provided in EPS format. When I open them in illustrator, they are coming in as an RGB color space file. I need them gray scale solid black in CMYK color mode. I can batch using actions to convert the artwork using "Edit Colors > Convert to Grayscale". However, the document color mode remains RGB. It appears, even after using "Convert to Grayscale", that the RGB color mode goofs up the placed .ai file in InDesign, treating it as RGB and seeing it as a mix of CMYK rather than the 100% black only it needs to be for proper sharp printing.
The actions pallet doesn't record converting the document color mode. Is there a way to automate that file conversion so they are all saved as CMYK rather than RGB, or am I stuck opening each of the 900+ files manually?
I have just moved over to Photoshop CS6 from Elements 10. One thing I can't work out how to do is to have PS automatically convert opened files to RGB, exactly like PSE does.
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I am going through RAW files from my Canon cameras (1Ds MkIII and 6D) I edit them in the develop module and then convert to aRGB or sRGB depending on the output media. They look good in aRGB and sRGB too when I take into account the limitations of sRGB.
---> However, if I try the softproof to aRGB or sRGB the resulting proof crushes dark tones into solid black. Why is this when the actual conversions are way better? The actual conversions look good in both LR and PS CS5.
I have also noticed that when I upload images to my online galleries and view them with Firefox (latest version and color management enabled for all rendered graphics) they appear darker in the darkest tones than what they appear in LR. What gives?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had a great time using the Web Photo Galleries in Photoshop CS and CS2, especially since I'm fairly deft with HTML and a total Flash dunce, so the Web Photo Gallery Flash 1 and Flash 2 templates have served me well and allowed me to make fun Flash stuff without having to learn. But, with learn-by-doing, there often comes a point of confusion, and I think I've found mine.
I noticed that (when using the gallery "Flash 1"), if I click the little ? in the bottom right, the file name will come on and stay on throughout all the pictures. This is exactly what I want since that's where I do all my captioning and it really adds something for me to be able to see that. My question: how in the world do I get it to do this by default? I'm always telling friends/family, "oh, click the little ? in the bottom right and it'll show the captions," but am certain there must be some way to do this by default.

I can open a single file but can't Develop it or do anything with it. I can't even Delete the folder so I can try again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using a Mac, Lightroom 3 uploading to a host monster.com server. the Lightroom HTML gallery displays fine when exported and opened offline but when uploaded to my server, backgrounds and navigation and cells appear fine but all the photos appear to be missing. the source code appears to have the correct path. When I've seen this question earlier users suggest that the photos are being put in a bin file but mine look to be in the correct path on the server. Other users suggest changing code in some Lightroom files perhaps using the SDK but I can't find the files they suggest changing (I think they might have been on pcs instead of macs). .

I am working with the Web module in Lightroom 4 (now 4.4) to create an online gallery with photos. I like the layout of the HMTL default template and would like to use. The only problem I found is that I can't seem to find a way to change the size of the thumbnail images and the enlarged photo that appears once the viewer clicks on the thumbnail.
