I was recently watching Jeff Schewe in a luminous landscape tutorial take a photo into lights out mode and the title of the photo was displayed beneath it when lights out mode was activated.
I entered a long sentence in Text Command and only 1st half is being shown. If I click T and select all it shows all the words, but normal select mode only half is being displayed.
Is it masked ?
Its like the other half of the text is invinsible.
Is there any way to force "shaded" mode in Nitrous to use scene lights and not default lights? We are doing tons of previs and when using "realistic mode" all of the grain and such with transparency, etc looks just awful. Shaded mode is SO much cleaner and faster, but under Nitrous it can no longer use scene lights to shade your objects. Under realistic mode you can turn shadows and AO off, but any transparency does the refinement process and never ends up looking totally clean.
Under shaded mode, transparency looks GREAT and is way faster. If there was only a way to enable scene lights instead of default lights it would be just like the old pre-nitrous days.
I am running photoshop CS on my laptop which is a Compaq presario 1503 AP.
I have had this problem since I used Photoshop 7 and now Photoshop CS. When I want to go to a new paragraph or the next line using the enter key, it just doesnt work.
When I hit enter, the text just exits the text entry/edit mode.
I had several CorelDraw documents that crashes on me, and the auto-backup did not work.
In all these documents, if I open the text paragraph window and typed on it, the entire program will crash if I exit that window after finishing.
I discovered that if I typed directly on the text paragraph, it will not crash. That means do not open the text paragraph window to do editing. But this makes editing very slow since it seems to be more memory intensive.
Strange the auto-backup directory/folder always do not have my backup files too.
This used to work, then my computer dies and AutoCad was reinstalled. I am trying to dimension some cut-outs in a 19" rack panel. I can dimension them, it shows the correct dimensions but then when I hit enter it wont save the dimensions. I've gone into DIMSTYLE and everything looks fine but I cant get this simple task to work.
I am using Adobe Photoshop CS3. I have a spreadsheet of Greek translations. When I copy and paste the text into Photoshop, certain characters are missed out or replaced with an incorrect one. I have tried downloading fonts that support the Greek character set, but still no luck. If I paste this text into any other applications (Word, explorer etc) the text displays properly. I was wandering if there is a setting or anything in photoshop that I need to change?
I'm starting a new drawing in Civil 3D 2012 and when I go to draw a line I can't see the small text boxes that show up beside the cursor that allow you to input numbers. I like to type my lengths and angles into these boxes to draw my lines as it makes it 100% accurate however the aren't showing up. Drawing lines is essentially useless because I now have to eyeball it. Is there a keyboard shortcut to get these boxes to display again?
We use linestyles for utilities such as w for water, s for sewer etc. linestyles look like --w--w--w--w--. in Autocod 2004, if you reverse direction of line or rotate line 180 degrees drawn with this linestyle, the w's would look like m's because text reversed with line (this is what i want to happen) in Autocad 2012 and 2013, when i draw a line with the same linestyle, the text will not reverse, even if i manually rotate the line 180 degrees, the w still reads w and not m. is this a system variable, mirrtext did not work.
I am using ACA 2012 and when I insert a view into a sheet, the text and dimensions in the view do not display. I have checked the view and the text and dimensions are on layers that should display in the sheet. The layers are on and thawed in the viewport on the sheet, but do not show up. I have turned on all layers and only the model (building information) shows, no text or dimensions.
As part of process for my drawings, I have to draw 18mm thick panels (drawn as a rectangle) on plan and then list and type said length text into the drawing. However, I've created a dynamic block with a closed double line, which I can flip and stretch. However, is there a way of having the stretched parameter length displayed on the drawing with the prefix 'EP'? If that is possible, is it then possible to extract a list of sizes out of LT for use in other programs?
Other ideas to complete task were to create a double line type that would place the length parameter, within the line, eg. '-------EP700-------' or a dimension with no extension line, arrows, etc.
We currently use AC 2012 Mech.when selecting from the menu content/fasteners/screws and then opening the countersunk head types, many users will see what is dispalyed in the attachment good picture.png... the type of screw is displayed (we can see the text)...while other users selecting the same prompts from the menu will see what is displayed in the attachment bad picture.png... the text is NOT displayed...this occurs for many different types of content, not just the fasterners/screws...
What I want is to create a block which contains a bit of text displaying the scale (X scale only) of the block. Then, if I change the block's scale it will also update. Is this possible?
Ever since starting to use the illustrator provided as part of the creative cloud, I can not produce anything with clear text. Why? It looks blurry on the art board and looks blurry in the final document.
I'm working on a game in Animate that tracks several scores at the same time – six, to be exact. There are six personalities in the game, and the player's actions determine the positive or negative score displayed to each personality.
The player is presented with a situation and their action effects their score with one or more of the personalities. I'd like to know how to set a text field to change by a negative or positive value (not just changing to a specific number), based on which button the player chooses. I've created symbols for each of the six score fields, each one has a uniquely named text field inside the symbol.
I'm trying to use diagnol fractions in my label text for 1/2 and 1/4 deltas. It displays and seems to work fine in Autocad, but when I plot, the numbers have trouble displaying themselves.
I'm using a light color from our .ctb, so I thought that was the problem, but that doesn't seem to be the case (I tried two heavier lineweights and it only got worse). Increasing the percentage size of the fraction also has no effect.
I want to display the IPTC metadata in Lightroom 4 in the same way as in Bridge CS6 so that it only displays the fields I want to use - is this possible without having to install 3rd party software? I've tried the metadata pop-up menu selections but these either omit items I want to see or include many items which I don't use. I bought Lightroom because it was designed for photographers but I am discovering that there are a number of areas where it is not as flexible as Bridge.
I would like to display the room name and area as text from a spaces i have created. Like a room tag that will automatically update if the space is altered.
I have tried a number of ways but have been successful and the solutions are often overly complicated.
I have since given up and simply entered text and included a field for the space name and another field for the base area however this is quite laborious. surely there is a simpler way of doing this.
I would also like to include occupancy numbers that would also calculate the m2 per person if that is possible?
I am having all sorts of problems with Lightroom 5.2 and wish I'd just stayed with Lightroom 4. I've already posted about not being able to import directly from an SD card in my laptops reader, and have at least found a work around to that (copy files to hard drive them import - I see others have found the same thing and it works just fine).
Now I have realised that the map screen in the map module is blank. I had this problem initially with Lightroom 5, and then it seemed to resolve itself. It is refusing to resolve itself in Lightroom 5.2 however. I've searched on the web for similar problems, and have found some responses to blank map screens in Lightroom 4, but they are so technical I haven't got a clue where to start trying to follow them.
So, I am a simple soul who needs a simple answer. I am using LR 5.2 on an HP laptop running Windows 7. In the map module, where I already have GPS data (from a Canon EOS 6D) it is displayed in the metadata, and the little pop up box shows the number of photos at selected locations etc. But the central map screen is black. If I search, the screen stays black although it appears as though it has gone to the location. The Navigator screen is blank too. And yes, I am connected to the internet and LR5.2 seems to be able to find the internet (I checked by going into the web module).
I like to put GPS locations on my photos prior to upload to Flickr, and whereas they are there from photos from my 6D, they don't exist for photos taken on my Canon Powershot.
as I've come from PSE, the terminology might be a bit different.
1) Displaying Keywords for a photo - In PSE, the properties panel can list all the Tags associated with a photo. The only way I can see the keywords for a photo in LR is to go to the keywords list, expand all the sub levels and look for check marks. Is there a simpler/easier way?
2) Displaying a photo for a keyword - I have a keyword which has a count of 1 against it. If I try to filter by that keyword (by clicking the right arrow next to the count) nothing is displayed. I tried making a collection with just the keyword specified and it contains one photo but again nothing is displayed. I suspect that it might be something to do with version sets brought over from PSE but I've tried unstacking everything and still can't find the photo.
First of all, I'm very happy the new version of Lightroom handles FujiFilm X-E1 RAW (RAF) files fast and efficiently.
But I have a feeling the colours aren't quite right. The X-E1, and its brothers, are known for their incredible colour reproduction and wide dynamic range in a compact format. When shooting native JPEG's with, or without shadow compensation settings in the camera, the resulting JPEG files has a clear FujiFilm identity. The colours and luma and are very even all the way from the shadows to the highlights. But when loading a RAW (RAF) file into Lightroom (v4.4) the colours, still untouched, aren't at all the same, and not the luma either. Shadows are harsher, the skin tones and most colours actually are a tiny bit off. Overall I would urge you to study this in detail and give us an optional Camera Calibration profile or something, that will give FujiFilm justice here.
Does this make any sense to you, or am I just being picky here?
I went from Lightroom 4 to 5 yesterday. No problems, it went smoothly. I uploaded new photos, edited some. Then I used the new clone and heal. Fine. Love it. Tried another image. My fingers were on trackpad and I must have inadvertently changed the way my edit options show. No longer have the main top features after crop tool, clone, heal, etc. Histogram displays. Clone, heal, etc, display. Then it goes straight to tone curve and features below that. How do I get the edit features and sliders back on my Lightroom window?
There seems to be a minor bug in Lightroom (since version 3): If I have no filter enabled and click on the little arrow next to a keyword, I get a result that is unrelated to the keyword. If I click it again, it works. So it seems that the feature was only tested with the metadata filter already switched on.
