Lightroom :: File Size Shrinkage When Renaming Pictures?
Jul 14, 2013I notice that when I use Lightroom 5 to rename the pictures contained in a folder, the folder size is reduced afterward. For example, a folder containing 349 jpg files was 1.52 GB but after renaming them, the folder size was redusce to 1.30 GB.

Mar 31, 2011Is it possible to change the default import directory from "My Pictures" to a different directory? It gets tedious to have to specify the directory I want to use every single time I import and I have not found a way to make this change sticky.
That seems like it should be a preference but I can find no way to make this change.

I can only change the font size of menu a little bigger and can't do anything about the other font size. I am so frustrated. The reason why I bought Imac 27" is to protect my weak vision and there are no means to change the font size in lightroom. I searched online and found many customers had this issue.

Mar 11, 2014I would like to control the actual picture frame size when making a Book in Lightroom 5. Or else know the sizes of the different picture frames provided by choosing the different page layouts. That way I can either change the picture frame dimensions to accomodate each photo or change the image size to fit in the offered picture frame. I find that using the software as is winds up cropping the images in unwanted ways. Modifying the picture frame would be my preferred alternative.

Aug 18, 2013I called the big webdesign file "(X)" and the image I wanted to paste in it "(Y)",
What Happened:
For the design of a webpage, I made a photoshop-file(X) with a lot of squares(X). These squares(X) had the size 9,42×9,42 centimeters. I measured the squares(X) carefully and also made sure the size was in centimeters, so I am sure that the size was 9,42×9,42 cm. My plan was to fill the squares(X) with pictures(Y). I had a map on my computer with a lot of square-sized JPG-images(Y) in it. All I had to do was open the pictures(Y) in photoshop, change the size into 9,42×9,42 centimeters and copy+paste them into the squares(X) of the webdesign. I did this before and it worked perfectly.
But then, I opened one of the images(Y) and when I wanted to resize it, the resize-tool said it was only 3,25×3,25 centimeters big.I thought it was strange, so I copied+pasted it into the design-file(X) with all the squares(X) that needed to be filled. Allthough photoshop had told me that the squares(X) in the file were 9,42×9,42 centimeters big and the image(Y) I resized was 3,25×3,25, the "small" image(Y) turned out to be bigger then the squares(X). And when I resized the "small" image(Y) into 9,42×9,42 centimeters, it was even bigger than it was before. How can this be, and how can I still make the images(X&Y) the same size?
What I already tried:
- I made the file of the webdesign(X) with all the squares(X) into one layer, copied the file(X) and opened a new file(X) with the same measurements of the old file(X). I also changed the resolution of the file(X) into pixels/centimeters instead of pixels/inches. Then I pasted the image(X) of the old file into the new file. I didn't work; the image(X) that I pasted in the new file was bigger and when I pasted the other picture(Y) in this image, the same problem was still there.
- I also opened the picture(Y) in photoshop, made a screenshot of it and then pasted the screenshot into paint. With paint I cropped it again and saved it as a JPEG-file. After that, I opened the image (Y) in photoshop again. It now had the size of 11,27×11,27 centimeters. Then I resized the image(Y) into 9,42×9,42 cm, but it still wasn't as big as the squares(X).
Lightroom :: Change Page Setup - Print Module Defaults To Letter Size
Mar 11, 2014I have a set of Lightroom Print templates that I am trying to use, that are all for a 4x6 print. I can't get it to work because my page setup in the print module defaults to letter size. When I go in and change the page setup, it messes up the template and it gets all jumbled. Then when I go on to the next template, it switches back to letter size again. I want to create and hold a 4x6 canvas so these templates can either be saved to a 4x6 .jpg or printed on 4x6 paper. I know I can save a printer and page layout as part of a template by clicking the "update settings" once I have it all as i want it, but I can't even get that far because it messes up the template as soon as I change the page settings to 4x6. How do I get the canvas to 4x6 on templates that are already created so I can save them as a 4x6 .jpg or print to 4x6 paper?
I even just installed a printer that only prints 4x6 to see, but again, when I change the page layout it completely messes up the template.
Lightroom :: Keyboard Shortcut To Change Size / Opacity Of Spot Removal Tool?
Aug 20, 2012Well, so far I"m zero for four in trying to get LR to let me do trivial things the way I'd like, but let's give it yet another try........
I ALREADY KNOW you can use the "[" and "]" to change the size of the spot removal circle. BUT, I'm trying to get LR to work as much like Photoshop as possible 'cause the inconsistencies on small things is a surprisingly large hit to productivity.....
In PS I can change the size of the clone or heal using Alt and the mouse. Change both size AND opacity.
Is this buried somewhere in LR? If not, is there a way for me to define this command in the translatedstrings file?
Illustrator :: Several Pictures To Same Size?
Feb 14, 2013when trying to make several objects to have the same size. In freehand I used mark several pictures and I could just put Hight and Width in the respective fields...all pics had the same size. In Illustratur, if you mark several pics, the size field will only show the collective size of all pics. I know about "object frames" which are not of use for me.

Aug 11, 2012I have some scanned picture. (Actually they can also be photoed.) Specifically, they are Chinese calligraphics. They are color graphics although almost completely black. Their border are hairy, no clear cut border.
My question is:
How do you transform their color?
The original color is black, almost black, not gray scale. For design purpose, I would like to transform it into any desired color. (The color need to match with other part of the graph.) I cannot use color replacement, since it is not only one color. It is not only black.
I can only transform into some color, but not any arbitrary color since the black is too heavy, which are the original color mounted with some other color. I attached one such picture so that you may try it. The paper used caused some background which can be easily removed by adjusting it contrast and black/white threshold.
