if there were any plugins for fringe removal in photographs, i currently use the sponge tool or i mask off the offending area and use selective desaturation.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am using WinXP/Home, Adobe RGB 1998 Color profile for both the image and Photoshop CS3. I print on Epson R2400, have freshly and properly installed inks and nozzles are not clogged. I have an image of a blue flower, and I do mean blue, not purple and not lavender. It is definitely blue on the monitor. It is blue in Bridge. It is blue in its jpg format and in its .psd format. When I print using the printer with Photoshop as color manager and print management off, the result is a purple flower. All the other colors in the image seem to be fine---green is green, yellowish is yellowish. When I print using printer color management(settings all properly done), NOT Photoshop's, I end up with a blue flower! Anyone with any ideas at all why this happens? I sure would appreciate knowing! I can do the workaround by letting the printer manage color, but seems to me that Photoshop really ought to be doing this. I have not noted problems with any other colors...only blue!
View 9 Replies View RelatedIf you have had the issue with blue plotting purple with HP printers I discovered that its with the quality you set your printer at. If you plot draft or preview your blue will plot purple or a shade of purple. When I switched the quality to normal it fixed the issue. I called HP about the issue before I discovered this and they said update your drivers which mine were already.

View 10 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to open photos - they are opening in blue-green-purple colors as if a filter is being applied. The color pallette is also appearing with the same blue-purple colors. In the layers pallette - the icon of the image appears in the normal colors and no filters, etc. have been applied. It's all starting from when selecting the photo to be opened in photoshop.

Converted this morning to LR 4 and hundreds of my developed photos in all Collections now have purple streaks / banding / ghosting. I did not update to the 2012 developing engine so the same LR 3 sliders are still there. I tried a few of them with the new engine and new sliders and the purple banding is still there, and I could not adjust them away except to slide the tint slider to the left, which is a bad effect (makes the photos green). This is probably happening in one of ten photos. . I went back to LR 3 and the shots are perfectly developed.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI shoot in Camera RAW on a Canon 5D2 in LR3 and I'm having colour issues; skin tones are often purple/magenta tinted and very difficult to correct. I usually set the WB to Custom and shoot a grey card and set the picture style on the camera to Neutral (why does the WB affect RAW images anyway, I thought it only operated on the jpgs?)
On import, pics often look ok then resolve into higher contrast, garish colour versions which are less pleasing - have I set a preference incorrectly or am I missing something else?
Take a look at the attached photo - on the left is a black and white photo I exported out of photoshop after desaturation but opened in pictire viewer. On the right is the same photo as viewed in photoshop - again after desatuation to convert to black and white. My monitor is calibrated and photos opened in picture viewer or other simple programs look correct - but in lightroom or photoshop they have a tint. How do I remove this?
View 20 Replies View RelatedI shot an event for a couple (a reception) and I didn't have my gray card so I set my Canon 5D mkII on auto white balance (shooting with a Canon 24-70 2.8 and a Sigma 85 1.4). As you'll see from the two example photos - the shots taken in the venue lobby looked fine, but the shots from inside the event itself were amazingly saturated. The room had a ton of very bright uplighting in purple and pink - the shots looked fine in the viewfinder, but once I brought them into LR4, there was a nearly complete purple/pink cast over everything. Setting the white balance in LR to auto, tungsten, flourescent - nothing worked. Adjusting the temp sliders - only slightly better. Reducing vibrance and saturation useful a little more, but I'm really having a hard time finding a fix!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently built a PC for photo editing, and I am receiving the BSOD at different points when Lightroom is open. The first time it happened was when I was moving about 1000 raw files from one folder to another (did it twice to me doing that). From there, I grabbed the latest video card driver from Nvidia, and I also went into the bios and set my memory back to "Auto" rather than 1600 (which is what it's rated for). Thought maybe it was hardware related. Everything was going fine, I did some editing, and then while it was just sitting there with LR3 open, I got the BSOD again.
Here is what I'm running:
CPU - i7 3.4ghz 2600k
Mobo - Asus P8Z68-V LX LGA 1155 Intel Z68
RAM - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
System SSD - Corsair Force Series GT CSSD-F120GBGT-BK 2.5" 120GB SATA III
-I have Windows 7 64-bit, Photoshop CS5.5 and Lightroom 3 installed on this drive and I also have current project photo files stored on this. Once done editing, I export them to a 1TB HDD.
Video - EVGA GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1GB
Here are the details after logging into Windows after the crash:

Recently, I updated my LR3 to LR4.3 and my camera from Olympus EP2 to OMD. So, I am not sure if any of these factors play a role but, I started having severe banding on photos taken in vivid sunny day with a blue sky. I am not an advanced LR user and, my process of developing photos in LR has always been pretty simple. First, I export RAW format pictures from a card to a hard drive. Then, I do some adjustments and make two jpeg copies from each RAW file.
One copy I in Export dialog box File Settings as a JPEG, Color Space sRGB, 100% quality and another copy I export for web so, I limit to some minimum size without setting any quality reductions.
Again, in the Export dialog box -> File Setting -> check (checkbox) Limit File Size to 300KB to 1MB. In this sample case, file was farely large so, LR did not allow me to save this file in less than 950KB. URL....
When I edit my photos, anything that I try to darken, turns blue. All of the blacks turn blue. It didn't used to do that. What am I doing wrong?

Is it possible with LR4 to flip red and blue channel, like it is needed for color Infraed photography, or do I still need to work with PS or PSE ?
If I open my .rw2 files in Windows Explorer, the blue color is very saturated and also if I had import my .rw2 photos into Lightroom 4.2. This has occurred when I had upgrade Lightroom 4 to 4.2
I'm using Windows 7 Pro - 64 bit and photo's are taken with my Panasonic Lumix LX-5
My computer has been extremely stable for the past few years without a single BSOD... Until recently when I updated LR4 to LR5.
After a good 15-20minutes within the program, all of a sudden it will BSOD. It does not happen doing ANYTHING else with the computer, including gaming such as FSX and other simulators which can be very heavy on the GPU/Memory/etc...
I ran memtest and it passed.HD Tune on my HD's, no errors.I reduced my overlock to be sure it was not a voltage issue or something, but same results. Prime95, passed.
I tried doing a "Repair" with the LR5 installer file, but it still happened.
Windows 7 - 64bit professional edition
Intel i7 2600K CPU
16GB DDR3 Ram
570GTX GPU
Lightroom is running off my 120GB SSD Drive, with it's catalog on my 2.5TB internal HD (one of a few).Updated my GPU drivers (clean install) and ran windows driver verifier to make sure all drivers were "proper".
I have a very important shoot I am trying to process and this is a big bummer right now... Again, been using LR4 every since it was released and never had a BSOD... Right after I upgrade, it starts happening once things start get a bit demanding (quick editing or quick adjustments). I have not noticed a trend when it does crash, but it may have something to do with the crop and/or straighten tool... I have noticed it has BSOD on me when doing some of those, but I believe other times as well. I will make sure to pay attention from now on to report any reliable trends when it happens.
Ok so i have this image (Attached) im trying to remove the blue rectangle and the white rectangle leaving the blue swirl on the white back ground, iv tried using content aware but it comes out really bad, maybe im doing it wrong will some one be able to look at this for me, maybe it came out wrong because i have the blue swirl and content aware doesn't work correctly with it .

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running Windows 7 64Bit running Adobe CS5 Master Collection. But ever since I allowed CS5 Photoshop to control my printer (HP Photosmart Prem 310-C) to do a test print of a graphic that I created all of my Blues print a violet/blue color, no matter what color blue. It has even affected MS Word & MS Project when I try to print blue colored font or Gantt Chart blues will no longer print blue, but will print the same blue/violet color. I've even tried a brilliant blue which will all view great, but prints the same shade of violet blue! All my colors and Blues will view great! I've calibrated my monitor and I've reset my printer several times and still the same thing! I never had this problem before I downloaded Adobe CS5! A strange thing is that I can run check printer test and the data & image that is stored in the printer will print blues perfect, including running a copy direct from the scanner bed and it will produce perfect blues. I almost feel as though Adobe CS5 has possessed my PC and printer, how do I get it back to printing like it did before installing CS5 Master Suite?
View 2 Replies View RelatedToday is the first day with Lightroom 3, where I have over 200 photos from an event, that I am walking through each photo. I am in the develop module and I am setting the color label to red or blue. What seems to be constantly (not every time) happening is when I click the color for the label, LR will move to the next photo, but not apply the color label.
As I write this I'm trying it out to notice a pattern. What I see is photo 1, I click on the red label and the photo is labeled red and LR moves to photo 2. I click on the red label and LR does not set any color label and moves to photo 3.
Another thing that happened is I was then at photo 3 and clicked on the blue label. LR did not set the blue label but jumped to photo 4 and put the blue label on that photo
I am using Lightroom 4.3 on Windows 7 pc. I have a collection with approximately 650 images. I was working in the collection and had all the images selected. Somehow I inadvertently must have hit a keyboard shortcut that effected all the images. All of the images are negatively effected and they now look terrible. When I go to the History Panel, all the images have "blue filter" as their most recent entry. If I select one image and go back to the step before the "blue filter" everything looks fine again. My problem is I have this effect in 650 images. When I try and do the change in one image and then synch to the rest, I don't know what box to check to remove this "blue filter" that has been added to all the images. I know I can do them one by one, but with 650 images, it's a long and tedious process. Any way I can remove the "blue filter" from multiple images in a collection?

I am wondering if it is linked to lens profiles, as it appears to have started since I have begun using the Sigma 30mm 1.4 lens.
I'm just starting to learn/play with PhotoShop but I've already came across one problem. Once I open photoshop, no matter what layer or background I'm in, the only colour that shows up is pink. Nothing else. Is there something wrong with my monitor? Should I try reinstalling Photoshop?
