View 1 RepliesCurrently I am processing analoge pictures in Lightroom 3.6.
When adding IPTC data to a slide show, I am able to add almost every item, except "Date created". That does not apear in the ABC list.
How do I burn a LR4 created slide show to a dvd to be shown on a 108i tv?
Would I be better of buying a media player to get blue ray resolution?
I have created a slideshow with Lightroom 5 that has 807 photos. The duration of the slide show is 1 hour, 33 minutes. When I try to add music in LR 5, it will allow only one song. How do I add music that will cover the entire slide show?
View 1 Replies View RelatedLR 4.3 down samples my photos when I export a slideshow to pdf or video. I've tried 1080p,720p, 960x540, 720x480 for video. I can only H.264, nothing else. I use an ID plate (photo frame) and music. Everything works fine when I play the slideshow in LR.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIn the Adobe Classroom in a Book LR5 pg 28 there is a method shown to start the slideshow - Window > Impromptu Slideshow. It states that while you are running the slide show you can use the keys 1 - 5 to rate the photos and the left and right arrows top scroll through the photos.
the numbers indicate the rating but it does not apply the rating to the photo - when you get out of the slideshow the rating is the same as before I started the slideshow. Additionally the left and right arrows dont appear to work.
In Lightroom 3 slideshow module, I can set the length / duration / time for each photo to appear on the screen, using the slider bar. I can set the transition length.
What I haven't been able to figure out: how to select certain images and transitions that will be onscreen for a different amount of time. For example, say I have 50 photos that are set to appear in the slideshow for 3 seconds each. Great. Now I want to choose 10 photos in the middle of the slideshow, and have those ones linger, 10 seconds each. How can I select those and give them a different screen time?
The images appear less saturated with a green-ish tint while viewing the images on a calibrated Macbook Pro Retina display 15".
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm just trying out LR5. I've watched vidoes where in LR4 you can setup a slideshow to play from a folder, and while the slideshow is playing you can take new photos from a tethered camera and it will automatically add it to the slideshow.
In LR5, on my computer (Mac), the incoming photo seems to get stuck and does not make it into the slideshow. I have to stop the slideshow, and restart it to see the new incoming photo taken by tethered camera. I need this function for an event, so I'm just wondering whether I'm doing something wrong, or whether it is a bug in LR5?
I've selected the mode "Use: All Filmstrip Photos". What I've observed is that while playing the slideshow without going fuill screen, a newly taken photo from the tethered camera appears as a white tile, but then the thumbnail contents do not change. When I stop the slideshow, the photo then gets "Developed" and then it will be in the slideshow the next time I play it.
Trying to make a slideshow in LR4, however I can't seem to change the duration on individual photos. i can set the speed for the slideshow, but this speed is globalized to all photos. Can I change this so that I can change duration of individual photos?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using Lightroom 5.2 on a 27-inch iMac running Mavericks. I want to create a slide show full of photos with a native aspect ratio of 3:2 (from a Nikon D4 and a Nikon D800). I do NOT want the photos to be trimmed along the top and bottom, which is what happens when I choose "Zoom to fill frame" in the Slide Show module. I do NOT want letterboxing along the right and left edges of the photo, which is what I get if I don't choose "Zoom to fill frame" and just export the slide show using the "Export Video" button in the lower left of the Slide Show module. ("Export Video" gives me four choices for "Video Preset," but none of the four is a 3:2 aspect ratio.) I just want a slide show of uncropped 3:2 aspect ratio photos with no border around them whatsoever. Considering how many of the photos taken every day on this planet are still in the 3:2 aspect ratio, I find it hard to believe there isn't a way to do this.
If for some reason there is no way to create such a slide show in Lightroom, I have Creative Suite 5, iPhoto, and iMovie, but I don't want to buy any new software just for this.
I'm experiencing a bit of an organization problem with Lightroom 3 which is probably rather easy to fix, but I just can't seen ti figure out how. When I import photos in Lightroom it automatically creates folders (2011-12-14 for example) and I would like to change the location on my computer for these folders, but I can't find where to do it. It now creates these folders in my regular Pictures folder which gets really messy due to this. How can I change this? And how do I relocate all the excisting folders on my laptop, without having to find all the missing photos afterwards.

View 2 Replies View Relatedtill LR 4.1 it was easy to add photos to an existing collection. I just selected photos and dragged+dropped them on the name of the collection. Job done. This seems not to work in LR 4.2 any longer. I can only add photos to a collection by using the context menu of the collection ("Add marked photos to this collection" [most probably the correct English term is different as I work with the German edition of LR 4.2]). Is this supposed to be a feature - or just a bug?
Additionally I can't put photos in an individual order any more. Sorting them by date, name etc - easy! But rearranging the manually doesn't work any longer with my version. Again: feature or bug?
For some reason, the photos that I add watermarks to aren't saving with the watermarks on them.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having such a hard time adding several photos at once to an existing collection. Not sure what I'm doing wrong as I am following the instructions. First I select all the photos by clicking shift and the 1st photo, then I select the last photo. All photos I want to add are highlighted. But I can't drag all the photos at once. When I try to drag, the 1st photo is only selected. What is are the correct click, drag and drop key strokes to get it right? Dragging and dropping one photo at the time is just not feasible.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have PSP X3...we are having a family reunion, and decided to create a DVD slideshow of past and present family members to show on a TV screen. The idea was to use a DVD player to play the slideshow, and hopefully be able to give out DVDs of the slideshow to family members at the reunion.
We have been able to create the slideshows using Project Creator: the slideshow consists of typical jpg files scanned using a typical scanner/printer of old photographs. The slideshow is a default .AVI container, which all 3 DVD players we have tried to use state they support AVI. However, none of the DVD players have been able to play the slideshow, saying "disc error", or "disc is not compatible for playing or recording".
My question is, do we need to use the actual Corel PSP X3 program, in order to make the slideshow work? We are able to connect a laptop to a widescreen TV for showing at the reunion, but this would kill our ability to hand out DVDs of the slideshow to family members, as they would 1) need a PC, and 2) need Corel PSP X3 in order to make the slideshow play.
Surely there should be a way to make the video play for typical DVD player support. We have used a Sony, Panasonic, and a Memorex DVD player, with the 1st two options being fairly new, DVR devices.
I printed a few photos with the print function in lightroom 3 (print button). A few hours later, i reopened LR to print some more photos, and now the print button has been replaced with print to file. Print one button is all greyed out aswell.
Also, LR is adding unwanted margins to all photos in the print module, and when i try to 0 out the margin, LR tells me it needs a minimum margin...
All printer settings is as it was before.
What has happened?
I have been around all preferences and so on, but nothing changes.
How do I stop LR5 from adding a dated sub folder every time I import photos. This just started and I can't find a way to turn this off. What ever date photo were taken LR makes a folder with that date when importing.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to be able to resize portrait images so they fit in a slideshow (same height) with landscape images. I believe the way to do this is to add padding to the portrait images. That's what I understand from this article. It's the plugin that I want to use on my website.
[URL]......
If this is the correct method, how do I add padding?
I guess I'm also having a hard time figuring out how to resize my portrait and landscape images to get them close to the same size, which seems to be another option according to the article.
I know large images first need to be resized for page loading speed. Normally, I resize from 4608x3072 to 1200x800. (Portrait 3072x4608 will resize to 800x1200). But, then do I resize again or crop?
I'm open for the simplest way for me to do this and remember the reasoning and methodology. I'm working on a work-related website, but I also want to build a separate personal website for my photography.
I want to reduce the long pause between two songs.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using VS x6 to provide a way to present family photos via slide shows. So far I have had success in doing so through Corel Discovery videos and YouTube tutorials.
My problem is that the photos do not "fill the screen:" which I am sure is due to the photos being different sizes to start with. I edit the photos with Corel PSP.
Is there a way to establish the optimum size in the VS project and then resize the photos in PSP for a consistent look in the slide show?
