There is that cool GPS tracklog import, but I am really missing a GPS data export! I would like to have the opportunity to mark some pictures and export a track list from that information to file.

May 27, 2013I am trying to append GPS data to my photo's using a track log which I have converted from KLM to GPX. The information loads onto the map just fine, but after selecting the option 'Auto-tag xxx selected photos' the process bar does appear in the top-left corner, but never progresses.

Oct 7, 2012Opening my tracklog in LR4 Map (on a PC) plots it with a -5 hr offset, evidently UTC time (I'm on Central Daylight), so the images I shot on the outing won't load to the map. The points on the map in LR show the UTC time, whereas the same track opened in Google Maps shows the correct, local times. On October 3, b_gossweiler looked at ImageDesign704's tracklog and responded "I've removed the timezone inidications on the trackpoints and loaded the tracklog successfully into LR." how to get into a .gpx file and remove those timezone indicationst? My tracklog won't open in Windows.

Nov 1, 2012till LR 4.1 it was easy to add photos to an existing collection. I just selected photos and dragged+dropped them on the name of the collection. Job done. This seems not to work in LR 4.2 any longer. I can only add photos to a collection by using the context menu of the collection ("Add marked photos to this collection" [most probably the correct English term is different as I work with the German edition of LR 4.2]). Is this supposed to be a feature - or just a bug?
Additionally I can't put photos in an individual order any more. Sorting them by date, name etc - easy! But rearranging the manually doesn't work any longer with my version. Again: feature or bug?

Apr 24, 2012I have a master shape file that contains parcel ID, owner, tax info., etc. I have another file ( access 2003 -open to better file format suggestions-) which contains parcel ID and a "yes" or " no" entry for whether or not the parcel needs a new water meter. All I want to do is add the water meter information into the other shape file. This would create one shape file with one table with all the information that I need.
Ultimately I will use the information to do a map query and find out spatially where i need new water meters.
Right now i have the master shape file connected though the “Connect to Data” feature. I also have the new data added to the drawing though the Data sources------>attach under the “Map Explorer” Task pane. I attached access file (ver. 2003 .mdb) which has two columns “Parcel ID” and “Meter”.
I right click on the shape file under the display manager and select”Create a Join;” however my water meter table is not listed as an option. Will this not work?
Plan B - I tried to Create and connect to the access file as an ODBC connection. Followed this guy’s directions to a T [URL]. But when i populate my table under the fdo connection the column headings exist ( “parcel ID” and “Meter”) but the actual data is missing. Am I missing something important?
Note: I am running c3d 2012 on a Win 7 64 Bit machine. I also removed office 32 bit apps and installed 64 bit apps to see if that would solve the problem. No go.

Nov 12, 2010I'm having such a hard time adding several photos at once to an existing collection. Not sure what I'm doing wrong as I am following the instructions. First I select all the photos by clicking shift and the 1st photo, then I select the last photo. All photos I want to add are highlighted. But I can't drag all the photos at once. When I try to drag, the 1st photo is only selected. What is are the correct click, drag and drop key strokes to get it right? Dragging and dropping one photo at the time is just not feasible.

Apr 15, 2013I cannot see any GPS data on my jpeg photos in Lightroom 4.4 (was the same in 4.3), I add the data on the computor using JOBO photoGPS softwear, lightroom works fine with RAW files GPS data but not that added to jpegs, post capture. I shoot Raw files and jpegs with both a Pentax K-x and a Sigma DP1 then add GPS data recorded at the time with a JOBO GPS unit attached to the hotshoe.
If I use my new Pentax K-30 with a Pentax GPS unit which adds GPS data in camera, there is no problem, Lightroom shows this, RAW and jpegs.
The JOBO unit software give better additional metadata information, addresses etc than the Pentax unit, though it does take more work to use.This issue effects uploads to flickr as there is no GPS location then shown there.
I use Windows7.

As I check out features I would like to add data for the soil name, soil group, etc. as additional columns in the data table and have it available in the future by checking the feature back in to my local information.

The data is there because it show up in PS Bridge but it is not in the metadata record in Lightroom and the map module cannot find it. May 17, 2012I printed a few photos with the print function in lightroom 3 (print button). A few hours later, i reopened LR to print some more photos, and now the print button has been replaced with print to file. Print one button is all greyed out aswell.
Also, LR is adding unwanted margins to all photos in the print module, and when i try to 0 out the margin, LR tells me it needs a minimum margin...
All printer settings is as it was before.
What has happened?
I have been around all preferences and so on, but nothing changes.

Dec 16, 2013I am using AC3D 2014. I have created a surface from downloaded DEM points, but, as expected, the contours are not as accurate as I would like. They vary from known elevations anywhere from a few inches to several feet.
I also have survey data from approximately 500 points which include Northings, Eastings and Elevations. Is there a way to add these points to my existing contour surface and incorporate these know NEZ points such that he contour surface is more accurate?
I have already converted my "known point" file to a .txt format with comma delimited information.
Premiere Pro :: Saving / Adding Data To XMP File Metadata
Dec 12, 2013In the past I've been successful adding and storing metadata to the 'Description' column in the project window in the past with the 'Link' symbol activated in the Metadata panel under 'ile'>Dublin Core>>Description. This would allow me to retain the description metadata when the media is imported into a different project.
However I am using this same procedure this week, but the data does not seem to be saving/adding to the XMP 'File' metadata. See screen shot below. I've experienced this problem within different proejcts and with the three main media types in our production house: XDCAM EX, P2 MXF and Ikegami MXF.
Why this would work previously, but not now? Is it related to the latest version updates?
This is a PC, Windows 7 system.

Nov 7, 2012When adding data to a surface, there is the option to add it as a "Non-destructive" breakline. [URL] .....
What is this good for? I created a surface, copied it, and created a volume surface between the two of them. As expected, the resultant volume was 0.
I then draw a 3d polyline and snapped to elevations on the surface. I then took that 3d polyline and moved it up 5'. I then added that breakline to the surface as a "Non-destructive" breakline and the resultant volume between the original surface and the one modified with the new breakline was still 0. Absolutely no change was made to the actual surface, it just added additional triangles.
I'm trying to find a reason it's even option and I'm coming up blank. There has to be SOME reason it's there.

It's been a while since I last used it but I can't figure out why my VS is now showing them only as photos of the first frame in the gif. Gifs used to work fine by simply dragging them in.
