InDesign :: Cannot Alter Font In Textbox

In Indesign (cs4): When I have marked the textbox and wish to alter the font, I have the last couple of days experienced that I click on the new font I desire, but the font does not change. I have to close down Indesign and then I can change the font. ... for a while, then it happens again, and I have to close down Adobe again. (there is plenty of space in the textbox, that is not the problem). (I have had this CS4 for many years, and not till this last week have I had this probem).

I keep trying to package an Indesign file for print, it seems to have everything present but I keep getting a window that says: "Cannot copy necessary font(s)'. It hasn't happened before.

Every time I place text into the InDesign document it is automatically converted to Arial Unicode MS Bold with underlines. I want to turn this off, but can't figure out how.

I keep running into this issue in InDesign. I never notice the issue until I go to package it, but I will outline all of my fonts, and when I go to the packaging screen it will say I still have 1 font in the document. It is always Minion Pro (the default). After investigating further, it always seems as if a text field has been "attached" to a shape. Once I delete the shape, when I go to package it it says there are 0 fonts.
So this causes all sorts of problems when I'm packaging because I can't outline the "minion" font because its not actually there (I've tried selecting the shape and clicking outline, but it wont let me). Also the only way around this I have is to delete the shape, and completely rebuild it (which is impratical for many reasons).

how to delete the type? (I have also tried Type on Path > Delete and its greyed out and won't let me choose that option)

I'm using ID CC ME. Much of my work contains a Hebrew word or pharase within an English sentence. Using the standard method to switch to Hebrew in Windows 7 usually give me the Adobe Hebrew font (and I think sometimes Myriad Hebrew). Is there any way to predefine which Hebrew font will be used when making the switch when I want a different font used? I know I can (and do) set a character style for it, but then I must first switch to Hebrew, then type the word or phrase, then use the character style to change the font (it doesn't usually work if you set the character style before switching to Hebrew), then change the character style back for the rest of the text.What is the simplest way to get the Hebrew in the font I want?

I use certain ttf font for creating documents in office products as well as in Adobe Products like InDesign. Since there is a newer version of that font available, I uninstalled the older version in Windows -> Control Panel -> Fonts folder an installed the newer version of that font.

Now all office applications as well as some Adobe applications (PS, Illustrator) show the new font from the fonts menu. But InDesign refuses to deal with that font. InDesign still shows the old version. Therefore I checked the fonts folder of InDesign. But this one is empty. How can I convince InDesign to accept the new font?

I am placing a Word document into InDesign CS6, and no matter what options I choose in the import options, the font styles are not imported into InDesign At the same time, InDesign CS3 imports all the styles perfectly from any Word file.

i have a Problem with my Autodesk CAD 2012 version. I wanted to write a VBA-Skript, but then there comes up a problem i cant solve and i don't know if it's a CAD or a VBA problem. When i make a Userform with a Textbox and run the program i can't write anything into the Textbox. I have the impression the program jumps always from cad to vba and back.I tried it then in excel and in the Microsoft Visual Basic 2010 and there it was no problem.

AutoCAD 2012 is loaded on my office machine with WIndows 7 64 bit. I have downloaded the correct vba module and installed. After writing a simple program with two texboxes for user input and a calculation button with an answer box. When running, the cursor appears in the textbox but neither textbox will accept input from the keyboard and the cursor does not move nor does the tab key work even with it set in the program. Pressing the calculate button and a zero appears. In the toolbox I have added the AcFocusCtrl control, still no luck.

I have a Form with a UserControl that has a Textbox on it.I want to be able to enter negative numbers in the Textbox.However, it will only allow me to input the chars [0-9 and a period '.'
I have added KeyDown, KeyPress, PreviewKeyDown events for the form, UserControl and the Textbox.
None of these receive events for characters other than the chars above.
I am displaying the form with the Application.ShowModalDialog( myForm) call.
I am guessing that the Application object is eating the keypress event.Â

Is there a way to create a custom control (text box) that I can add to a toolbar? Everything I've seen simply has a button on a toolbar.
This is my idea:
1. Click on a sketch dimension/property.
2. Dimension/property name shows up in said textbox.
3. Editing the textbox will update the name of the dimension/property.

I am using Inventor 2013 API for an application that imports Solid bodies and Sketches from Inventor parts.
Observed that when we import sketch entities, the Text object simply returns 4 lines representing its bounding box. What I want to do here, is to get the formated text as a collection of geometric entities. (lines, splines, arcs)
Is there any API available to "explode" text into entities, or may be a cleaner method that simply returns tesselation of formated text?

I am trying to change the titleblock definition of a drawing when I run my custom ilogic code. The TextBoxes don't have a Name property or an UniqueIdentifier property. Â So, I don't know how to find a specified TextBox.
I've tried to add a XML comment by code in the FormattedText property and got an error.

I have a CAD drawing that I have exported as an EPS in order to import it in to photoshop. I want to make the EPS look as though its a hand drawn illustration rather than a CAD drawing. I have tried the usual filters and can't get the desired look.

I use Gimp alot to make beautiful banners . I add text into them. The problem I am having [you are going to love this]. I made a beautiful banner for a friend and installed it on a website. [get ready to laugh] I spelled his name wrong. I put the banner back into Gimp but I can't figure out how to alter the text. Do I need to make a new banner or can this be changed??

I think I need to change the cdrTextPropertyFill using cdrTextPropertySet. If you look at the Property Manager Window with Artistic Text selected go to the 5th tab (format). On the bottom is background color: with two drp downs. One for textbox background and one for character background.
I would like to be able to change these settings in a macro. I think this line is finding the text on the graphic, now I need to change the background.

I have recently installed CS4 and I want to make fireworks my default editor for jpegs. However, I can't. PNGs default to fireworks, but whatever I try I cant get jpegs to. I thought I could live with it but when I press on a jpeg attachment I forget taht it weill open in Ps. Its beginning to drive me nuts! I have tried all the usual tricks regarding choosing a program to open with an extension, as well as uninstalled most of my previous Studio 8 - still have flash 8 installed - fw and dw are gone. Anyone got any more ideas. Is there something I need to do in PS?

How to alter AutoCADs' default plotter so that when I "publish" it will be the plotter that I use here most commonly in the office and I can use the default name given so I do not have to do a "page setup" every time I want to plot more than one page. I would like to select the pages that I am interested in publishing and go.
(also, I am using AutoCAD 2013 LT so LISP's are not a possibility)
