Somehow the pixel x pixel size box when drawing ellipses/lines/rectangles has been disabled. I cannot locate it's toggle. Need it reactivated to draw precise shapes.
When importing bitmaps into illustrator, pixel preview doesn't appear much different than overprint preview. Is there a way I can make this appear as a more accurate live version rather than a pixelated, undetailed one like in CS4?
jump from photoshop 7.0 to CS2.0, and I've noticed one vital feature missing/not working for me. When I use the thumbnails mode in Windows, there is no preview!
Information: Photoshop CS 2.0 Windows XP Professional SP1
I don't know if this has been reported but I found out today when working on a web design (hence working in the new unit - pixels) that you can't actually use the Dimension tools for measuring pixels. That's a pity because often you need to work with exact pixel dimensions when making websites and here the Dimension tools could come in very handy. It seems counting pixels by hand is a bit old-fashioned. Of course you can use calculations, but still...
I'm running Photoshop Elements 10 on a windows 8.1 computer. Pixel dimension is grayed out and unavailable to me. I cannot uncheck "Constrain proportions," and have no way to change the size of photos. If I change the dimensions, the resolution changes in proportion. I am perplexed and at a standstill since this is a critical function.
Constantly switching the Info Panel from displaying inches to pixels and vice versa?
How to avoid having to do this? I either want to see one or the other, sometimes being able to see both simultaneously would be nice. While dragging out Rectangular Marquees, doing Transforms, etc.
I opened a file I had been working on yesterday on a different Mac, and got the error message: "3D functionality is currently disabled due to OpenGL being disabled." I am currently using MacBook Pro (2008), running Mac OS 10.9, using PhotoShop CC. I've already looked at Ps Preferences>Performance and I see this.
My linear dimension command is not working and I noticed I have no dimensions showing in my dims style manager. When I go to set up...I have no dimensions showing in the preview.
I am not entirely sure why but all of a sudden my abienlity to drag anything with my mouse has been disabbled. When I try, it makes the ding noise that goes with being unable. I can still move the objects with the arrow keys. I am not that experienced with CS6 having only recently up graded.
I'm trying to save my document to send to a client as a mock-up. When I try to save as PDF the tick box for "Use Artboards" is disabled, so when I save it saves the whole canvas instead of only what is on the artboard. When I try to export I can tick the tick box but the document still saves the whole canvas with everything that is "hanging off" the artboard too. The artboard is the exact size of the document.
I am running CC on an iMac with Mavericks. It is a brand new system. My spacebar hand tool seems to be disabled. I have tried opening Illy while holding Shift/Option/Command.I have disabled the Command/Spacebar shortcut in Spotlight..The tool doesn't work in Photoshop either. I have looked high and low and have made no progress.
I have a pre-existing graphic uses a stroke with variable with profile (I think) or a special brush to make it look like it's hand drawn. I'd like to apply the same effect to a few new illustrations to keep the style consistent. For whatever reason when I ungroup the graphic and select one of the paths, the stroke weight and variable width profile remain disabled (see pasted toolbar graphic below). The brush still says "Basic" despite the fact that visually it is certainly not the basic brush.
Selected Path
Toolbar (I realize that it says Group instead of Path, but even if I ungroup again and select the path the same options are disabled).
I have done this a thousand times, and not had a problem. Basically I tried putting a gradient into text, and nothing happened. I tried it on a shape, and it worked fine. So I went to the appearances panel and added a new fill for the text. It worked, but even with the stroke disabled, there is still a weird glitchy outline around the text?
I tried exporting the file as PDF to check if this is just showing up in program...but it shows up in the outputted PDF too!
I've got a bit of trouble with Illustrator that I assume has a really simple answer but I can't seem to find the preference for it. My objects seem to be snapping to place but, as far as I can tell, I have all those settings disabled.
Things to note:
View > Snap to Grid > Disabled View > Snap to point > Disabled Preferences > Selection and Anchor display > Snap to point > Disabled
I have a simple shape that doesn't work with the width tool. I have other shapes in my doc that work fine, even ones with gradient fills. What is wrong with this one shape?
I am using Gimp 2.8.0 but only understand about 5% or less of it. (It is running on Win.7 Hm. Prm., Vsn 6.1, Sp-1.)
How can I define or adjust the pencil tool so it draws at the one pixel size in a new ".gif" work area. (That would be one pixel in the image to one pixel on the screen.) I found how to define the work area in pixels for a ".gif". The predefined pencil tool sizes (chosen by assorted dots) "went away" several versions of Gimp back as far as I know.
The object of this effort is to produce "TrainGifs" for use in other applications. Should you be interested just Google "TrainGifs" and you will be able to check out multiple site for this hobby.
I am trying to put dimension on drawing (which i got from client) but when i place it does not show up. I mean i select first object, second object then place but as soon as i place and release mouse its gone.
I am using AutoCAd Architecture 2011. I want to draw a 3d box to a specific dimension while I'm drawing it, much like drawing a rectangle. After selecting the box command my command line reads as follows:
First Corner or [SHape]: Second Corner or [SHape/Undo]: Height or [SHape/Undo]:
I don't know how to draw my box to the exact dimensions while I'm drawing without having to go into the properties box after I draw the box .
When I upload a drawing from the internet I save it as a wblock.when I insert it into my exixsting drawing it is not scaled to the same dimensions as the rest of the drawing.
I change the units to the same as the drawing befeore I save it as Wblock. But Im still having this Problem.
I have a hard copy drawing in mm so i drew it in mm. Now i have to dimension it in inches. I have tried several things including opening a new drawing in imperial, changed the units, INSUNITS are set to 1.
The diametric dimension on the right, dia. 244.9 isn't resembling the real dimension in the weldment. You see in the sketch of extrusion 2 that i gave an internal diameter of 245.
I am using Inventor 2013. For some reason I cannot dimension some of the model entities in the drawing views in an idw file. I can retrieve the model dimensions but it is usually easier to create the dimensions I need in each view. I can select the line, curve, etc. when dimensioning but nothing happens.
After I think about it. What I cannot dimension are lofts that I created with rails. These rails were made up of lines and curves, not polylines. How do I get the sketches for the rails I used for lofting to display in the drawing views so I can dimension those sketches.
I need to modify some of the dimensions (text only) in a standard template of outline drawing for different cases. I tried to identify the dimensions which need modification by using handle.
But after that i have no idea how to change the text in it.
I have a complete gearbox drawing from a previous work and I would like to use it again but with different dimensions. If I edit the dimensions and enter different values its not enough because when I hit the inquiry tab and dimension, obviously it will be the old measure value.
My question would be how to change the whole drawing to a new dimension values? I think there is no need to redone the whole gearbox again with new dimensions. My drawing is in metric (millimeters).
I created a new dimension style in a drawing. But i can't find this new create dimension style in othes drawing. I am wondering how can i create my own dimension style and could be use in every drawing as my own style?
