When I copy and past in Adobe Illustrator the font is not displaying correctly.
In preferences-->Type-->Text Engine options I selected 'Middle Eastern', previousy it was 'East Asia', after that the Tamil letters are getting displayed correctly.
I have seen another post which says I need to enable show Indic option. [URL] Unfortunately I do not have Indic option. My screen looks different

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have PS Elements 10 for Mac. I've been trying to figure out why my text is not rendering properly. I type out a word and although caps lock is OFF, the text shows up in all caps. Also, the spacing between letters is wide. I've been trying to search through options, but can't find anything.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an on going issue with quite a few of my files. They look great in photoshop or when I save them as .jpg's or other images but when i save them as .pdf's (no matter the setting) the fonts render horribly showing only faint outlines and no fill. This is a major issue as I am sure you can see.
here is a link to one of these pdf's [URL]...
will not allow me to attach screen shot from grab. Image not allowed is error message

View 1 Replies View RelatedI applied the Extrude / Revolve to text and once it rendered the text Illustrator keeps rendering it, that is, it won't stop.
There are two objects, one with a single word and the second object has 4 lines of one word on each line (peoples first/last names) If I click Stop numerous times I can "catch" the function and get it to stop but if I change anything it starts the function all over. CS4 did not do this.
Restarting application has no effect.
I running Mountain Lion on a Mac Pro 2012 vintage, 16Gb Ram.
why i cannot change the color of the background when rendering? It is always black, and i cannot attached or make new material, if need to attach jpeg or new texture on my drawing, cannot create new material. what should i do? im currently using autocad for mac 2012.
View 1 Replies View Relatedpixel rendering does not seem to work correctly in Illustrator CC on OS X 10.9 Mavericks.
Objects are placed correctly, and stick to pixel grid, but Illustrator renders them as being off-grid.
I have installed Illustrator CS6 as a temporary solution, and the same file works correctly.
I'm wondering why all my vector images are rendering pixilated in my CC CS6 Illustrator (v 17.1). I'm using a macbook with retina and am assuming that's the issue but can't find any info on what settings/etc I need to adjust/download to make it display properly.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm still using CS3. A friend sent me a document created in CS6 (I think) that he saved as a CS3 document. When I open this blank document he sent me, and then copy and paste a CMYK object from my CS3 original to his blank CS6 (saved as CS3), the object changes color quite noticeably (darker). The CMYK values are identical, but they don't look anything alike. On the left is a screen grab from my original CS3 document, and next to it a screen grab after I've copied and pasted the exact same objects into the CS6 created document. The CMYK values are identical in both, and they're being displayed on the same computer on the same monitor.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI use a simple opacity mask on some equally simple (but large) artwork. It slows down the screen rendering so much as to make the file almost unworkable with the preview turned on.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble with a file that was originally created in Ai CS6 on an iMac.
When I open the file in CS6 on my 15" Retina Macbook Pro, objects that are mathmatically aligned to the pixel grid do not render properly.
See the screen shot to see what I mean.
The files still renders properly when view on the iMac and new objects in the document are also aligned to the grid, at least from the stand point of how it's render.
Can I add more Fonts to Illustrator CS5

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a strange problem going on for CS6... Where when I created a design, grouped all of them so that they had the same center.. then did a force perspective... Some of the letters didn't render while a wire frame does exist for them.
One friend suggested to make sure all of the points are joined, however when I Ctrl+J them, I get an error that says invalid object... which is most likely because they are joined...
Is there a reason why when I convert a font using create outlines, this is happening with Stempel Schneidler btw, it appears to add a bit of weight to the type? I've never run across this issue before. I first noticed it when I printed out the document. It all of a sudden seemed heavier compared to the font normally. The problem becomes much more pronounced at a small scale. I notice it onscreen AND when I print it. I wouldn't normally create outlines but the letterspacing is pretty tight on this and I need to make a TY ligature.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a bear of a project where I have to match different fonts w/ different "logos", and being able to highlight the font, and then use the font menu and, maybe, the up/down arrow keys would make my life infinitely easier.
This works in InDesign.. and every other program on Earth... is there ANY way to do this in Illy CS4?
One of the few software that didn't play nice was CS3, so I had to re-install it. Now, many of the fonts won't show up. I'm doing a logo for a client and I need some fonts but fonts from the following- New Peninim, Corsiva Hebrew, Ariel Hebrew and/or Raanana-- don't appear after you engage the Type tool. What shows up in both Photoshop and especially Illustrator is a square box with nothing in it.
columns on line and followed 4 or 5 different "solutions"-- nothing seems to work. I even, against my suspicions, called the Adobe customer service and the best they could offer was to post a question here if my answer was not apparent.
Bearing in mind that I've put fonts in the Adobe folder, reset characters and a few other things since yesterday.
just installed illustrator cs6, am not fluent in cs5. I cannot find any fonts. the character window shows no type face selections. Did I install wrong or aren't there any fonts that come with this version.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with Illustrator 6. I had a previous verison (CS4 and CS5) that was used to created some documents. I'm having trouble with the fonts used translating to the new version even though in the font library, all the fonts I need are listed there.
Is there an issue with backwards compatability?
I just upgraded to CS6 from CS4. Some fonts that worked without a problem in CS4 no longer even show up in the font options in CS6. I use Font Agent Pro to manage my fonts. They are not corrupt, they work on other computers, and were purchased from online font foundries.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Illustrator CS5 and I am having problems with my fonts. I like to type my text, highlight it, and then click on the font I am using and scroll down so I can see the text I've type changed until I find the font I want.
However, I am having some issues - it only seems to go through fonts in sections. I have a lot of fonts on my computer but I cant scroll through more than about 10/15 without it either jumping to the end/bottom font or going back to the font I started on.
how to edit a PDF file in Illustrator when you don't have the fonts. This is a godsend and thought others might benefit from it if they don't know about it.
You get a PDF file from somebody and when you try to open it in Illustrator, the PDF is using fonts that you don't have so it substitutes the fonts and screws everything up.
Create a new Illustrator document the size of the PDF. Place the PDF into the Illustrator document. While the PDF is selected, go to Object menu / Flatten Transparency...In there, make sure"Convert All Test to Outlines" IS checked.Click OK and there you go, everything is converted to outlines, including the fonts and you can do with it what you want.
when trying to preview different fonts in AI i am unable to scroll through them using the arrow keys, it just doesnt move... if it can be fixed... oh im using cs3 and a mac on os x leopard
View 18 Replies View RelatedWhen opening an CS6 Illustrator file, certain fonts are not recognized – any pointers? Font Book confirms the fonts are "installed" with no compat issues. Wondering why CS6 doesn't see/sniff out the fonts.
