Illustrator SDK :: Import DXF / DWG With Units

Is it possible import Dxf/Dwg with desired units? Actually I need to do it silent, not with this dialog.I need setup scaling factor and show in document.In this code I can hide dialog, but can't setup. And also Ruller Units do not can scale imported document, it always scaled to Fit...

I have just reloaded CS5 onto my laptop with Windows 7 and I can't change the unit preference to inches. Every time I try to select it, it immediately reverts back to points.

I want to open a document and Force illustrator to open it using CM or MM as the Default Units.
i.e If a client sends me an .ai file and they use Pt or Px, How can i get the document to open by default with Centimeters, I've changed it in Adobe preferences but it only applies to new documents.

I am trying to resize the artboard so it will be an exact size in pixels. However whenever I use the artboard tool, the contextual toolbar will show me the size in mm. I went to Preference > Units > General and while it appears to be set to show pixels, it doesn't seem to affect the artboard measurements.

PC, Windows 7, AI CC..I have a document that displays units in points, and when I change the unit type to inches in the preferences panel and the Document Setup panel, the change won't apply.
I've tried saving as a new document, restarting, etc. I even tried setting the units to other units... doesn't matter what I have the units set to in preferences, it's always displaying points.

I have recently discovered the ability to import dwg/dxf files from Sketchup Pro (using AutoCAD Version: Release 14) into Illustrator CS6...
However, the only way that I seem to be able to see the DWG is by selecting 'Scale to Fit Artboard'... When I attempt to import using 'Original Size' or the 'Scale by' input factor the item doesn't seem to show anywhere on the artboard?

I have loads (gigs) of .png textures that I need to use in Illustrator CS6. But it will not let me import them using hte texturizer. Is it possible to use .png textures in CS6, if so how do I import .png textures into CS6?
As an alternative, is there a website that offers free .psd textrues for personal use in CS6. I am currently re-creating a a map with poor pixelation and I need a lot of natural (stone, dirt, rock, marble, etc..) textures and building textures for a medieval atmosphere.

I'm working with another artist that uses Illustrator CC. When I open the Cc file in my CS6 there is a clipping mask where the art board border is. Also, everything is a mess with all the strokes now separate from the fills (effectively duplicating everything). Is there a setting that would allow a file to be passed back and forth between CS6 and CC that would keep the layers, styles ,and objects the same? As far as I can tell the other artist only grouped the objects and then saved the file in CC before sending to me.

I am new to scripting in Illustrator.I am trying to import PSD files into an AI layer.So far this is my solution.

EPS files are "iffy" when it comes to importing into Xara. I found the perfect image on Can Stock Photo, available as either a 300dpi JPG or as the above-noted Adobe EPS file. I'd much rather have the vector file. It's the same price and can be more easily manipulated if necessary.
The Support team at Can Stock gave me the info on which program created the image. Xara PD6, whether an EPS created with this particular version of Adobe is compatible with Xara?
