How to complete the "distort circle" part of step 4? In other words, what tool would I use to move the top of the circle downwards?
Step 4: Copy and paste your original circle onto a third new layer. Fill it with an even lighter shade of your selected button color. Distort this circle by moving the top downward while leaving the size and position unchanged. You want the top of the new shape to be around halfway down the original circle.
Also, how can I turn the completed project into an orb/planet/pearl shape?

Aug 4, 2012I am missing a crop tool which can rotate the crop rectangle. Similar to photoshop's tool. I found no way to rotate the crop rectangle in gimp. How do you cut out something from an image if it needs to be rotated while cropping? I tried rotating first then cropping but it does not give me enough precision so I end up with transparent areas at the border.

Oct 23, 2012I am using GIMP 2.6.11 .I am using it to make DVD jackets among other things and have a template made. It's been about a year since I've done a jacket and made no notes - my bad.The Template is 10.597 inches wide X 7.292 inches high for a 7 mm spine jacket.I have it set in the Image - Print Size as well The big problem I have is trying to set the page setup setting from the File menu - It is stuck at Portrait, A4, Front tray and will not change - it resets every time. It refuses to switch to landscape or US 8.5 x 11.
The Print menu from the File menu only has 2 tabs - nothing like what is shown on the on-line manual. Only A General and Image Setting Tab.The image Setting Tab is useless as nothing I change seems to matter. the maximum size I can enter is H= 5.670" and H= 8.240" I have read section 1.6.2 Printing Photos and all the related links without finding out a thing. And nothing seems relivent. All I would like to do is make a graphic and print it out at an exact (or very close) size. I didnt think it would be so difficult.

Jul 26, 2013Using the code from "MakeMeACircle" macro. How can I modify it to "InserCircle"? I have it working now but only if the shape is square and aligned to the bottom left of the page. If I move the square anywhere else and run the macro the "Ellipse" is created outside the square and is "squished" instead of a perfect circle.
Who knows maybe there's a macro that already exists to insert a circle inside any shape?
