I am wondering how to use the plug in browser as if I am correct a plug in that is properly installed should show here and the tree view show where to access it.
Under file -->create -->buttons we have round buttons and simple beveled buttons but in the plug in browser tree view they come under file -->create .
Some of the plugins that do show up (3D outline) are temporary procedures. many others I cant even find (speed text). Is the problem the plug in browser or me if me where am I wrong ?
I just downloaded Gimp 2.8 and was wondering if there was anything else I needed to download before I got started with the learning curve, and it looks like a long one.
Many times when you download a program like this, you notice there are a lot of additional add-ons, like plug-ins, etc., and when you start to read about them everything kind of runs together and becomes much more complicated than it should be. I'm afraid I might step into the trap of wanting everything right now instead of just working with what I need.
I want to create a plug-in that will improve detail in under- and over-exposed areas of photos, but I can't get as far as duplicating a layer. I'm new to GIMP plug-ins. My plug-in below is intended to create a copy of the image's layer and add the layer to the image.
The plug-in will register in Windows 7 (GIMP 2.8) but won't register in Ubuntu 12.04 (GIMP 2.6.12). In Windows, the plug-in gives an error. I don't get an error if I comment out line 8: Code:
I have followed the instructions here [URL]......... installed GTK+, fiddled and cajoled and still I cannot get python scripts to run from within Gimp. The scripts show up in the menu within Gimp, but when clicked on, do nothing.
I am using Windows 7 32 bit, Gimp 2.6. I installed Python 2.6, pygtk all-in-one installer 2.2.
I opened the drawing and then from the drawing opened the model. In the drawing it is showing the 4th instance of ROUND CRS-032175 X 33 as an assembly. It also is not showing in the view and yet the visibility is checked. AI2012 SP2Â
I am trying to use the Browsernode.addchild method to add an occurence to an empty browser folder. The code fails at this point and I gett an error pointing to the line "Call oTargetNode.AddChild(oSourceNodeDef)". I can add the occurence with the browserpanes.Reorder method without issue if the folder is not empty. The code is pasted Below.

So I am making digital color prints at 24x30. the photography work is about color fields and gradients, so I need super high res files. I have set the size to 24000x30000 pix at 1000 dpi..now my problem, when i go to save the gimp file as a jpeg i get this error message "JPEG image plug-in could not save image"

I have installed the RAW plugin. It shows up in the help plugins. I did the preferences scratch and plugin etc. Will not open my RAW, which are really CRW files from my Canon 300 DSLR. What am i doing wrong?
I need to know how to install this plug-in from my photoshop CD. I follow all the steps, but still have a problem when I open up PSCS -- error message saying that some kind of .dll file cannot be found. I unzip the file (I think) and move the folder to the "plug-ins" folder in Photoshop program file.
I am able, however, to open photoshop despite that error message, but I don't see the effect under Filter>Render, where it says it will be. Am I missing an actual installation step and if so, where does it tell me to actually install the 3D filter? I had to make a cube for a class I'm taking and I made it, but freehand and a lot of transforming.
I am trying to locate a third party plugin for PhotoShop that was described to me by someone who had seen a website on it but did not remember the URL. Supposedly the manufacturer of the plugin had contacted the makers of a number of digital cameras and had incorporated profiles of each of them in the software, so that many of the problems of digital imaging (noise, grain, etc) were easily corrected with one click.
I have adobe CS4, windows vista and Nik software plugins. The plugins installed fine and I can open and use them in photoshop. However, when I click on "Ok" to apply the filter in photoshop, it shows as applied in the history states but it hasnt actually applied it to the photo.
The graphics cards is an ATI radeon HD 3650 and seems to be recognised by CS4 and am using open GL.
I've been using photoshop since version 5.. so I did what I've always been doing with my 3d party plugins.... stick em in the plugins folder but nothing happens.....I spent the whole day trying to figure out why.... in any istructions come with the plugins it was just saying to do the same old thing..... so does any body have any ideas why it wont work...?Does it matter that I got 64bit windows?....

KPT7 - if ya dont know and have never used these u dont know what your missing.. espically hypertiling and fraxflame
Master Blaster - great free color plugins.. come in yellow, green, red, blue, violet.. 3 filters in for each color (hue tint and background) plus 3 mixer plugs which mix RGB in really odd ways..
Flaming Pear - Flood, a really cool water plugin... Lunar Cell - Makes planets and moon like objects. Solar Cell - makes stars and suns.. I haven't really used too many other plugs from these guys but im sure they all rock..

I would like to add some Plugins to PSPPX3, I read/understand i should add the Plug-ins path at Preferences>File Location>Plug-ins - But there is no such option or Preferences>Workspace>Plug-ins - Same story

I am looking to build a good collection of Photoshop Plug-ins. Particularly image manipulation ones. I already have the Alien Skin suite and the three from Berg Design (peel off white, grey to white and grey to black). I am looking for high end professional ones. No amateur looking ripple effect or lame edge treatments.
