May 17, 2013I wanted to create transparent icon.i created it and i can see black&ash rectangles around the image, this confirm that as a transparent image.But after exporting it to jpg or png White color background is coming when i see it in photo viewer.
How to avoid that white background, am i doing a correct method?

How to complete the "distort circle" part of step 4? In other words, what tool would I use to move the top of the circle downwards?
Step 4: Copy and paste your original circle onto a third new layer. Fill it with an even lighter shade of your selected button color. Distort this circle by moving the top downward while leaving the size and position unchanged. You want the top of the new shape to be around halfway down the original circle.

Sep 16, 2012I have followed about a dozen tutorials on how to make a background transparent and it seems as though I am doing everything right but... When I go to import my new image to PrintMaster it gives me a warning that the transparency may turn black. It does darken the transparency and has a noticable rectangle around the image that should have a transparent background. I have tried exporting the image in every form possible and nothing seems to work.

GIMP :: Overlay Portion Of Image With Faded Map With Non-transparent Part Of Second Image
Apr 4, 2012I have a PNG image with only one layer as a start point. It has a faded map on it.
I have a second PNG image with a hex grid on it. I do colour to Alpha to establish transparency on the hex grid for white filled hexes (others are not filled with white).
Now, I wish to overlay a portion of the first image with the faded map with the non-transparent part of the second image.
So I select by colour (for the hexes not filled with white) on the second image (the overlay) and I then paste to the first image (after creating a transparency layer and selecting it to receive the overlay).
I see the desired overlay section (minus any transparent stuff as expected), however it is centered over the map in the first image, not where I want it to be. It is a floating selection and must be anchored. So I select the anchor icon in the layer dialog and I think I anchor it into the transparency layer on the first image (that's what I'm trying to do anyway).
And then my problem:
I want to move the thing I just pasted in to the right place with respect to the underlying faded map. I attempt to use the move tool, but all I move is the background map (pretty much the opposite of what I want).
Nothing I do seems to let me reselect the pasted-in overlay so that I can move it.
Why I can't ever reposition the pasted in overlay? It should be in the transparency layer I created but even if I select all, I don't seem to be able to move anything other than the background image.

Jun 26, 2011as you can see I was able to make the background transparent by 'select by color' + 'add alpha channel' + 'remove selected area' but I also need to remove the white behind the 50% opaque reddish orange flames as well, i cannot select the white by 'select by color' or 'magic wand select' or any of the selection tools because of the issues of the white / reddish orange mix of opacity, so I need removing this white behind the part opacity color.

Feb 27, 2014I have an animation in Edge, and I'm trying to make a button that can play the timeline for a specified amount of time and then stop, without the aid of labels. So, I figured if i set the button to sym.getSymbol("mysymbol").play(500); it would make the timeline of that symbol play for 500 milliseconds each time the button is clicked, but it is not working, as this makes the whole thing simply start playing at 500ms. So I then tried adding a stop action after this:
sym.getSymbol("mysymbol").play();
sym.getSymbol("mysymbol").stop(500);
But this didn't work, because I guess since these events are one after the other, it doesn't wait 500 seconds to stop, and it reads stop(500) immediately after the play instruction, so that didn't work either. I'm pretty new to javascript, but I've been really trying to learn it along with the Edge API for a couple weeks now and still can't seem to solve this problem.

Aug 27, 2013There are times I have to use the 32bit version of CS6, because the plugin being used can't be used in the 64bit version. But the last two days, this error started up out of the blue. This is the error popup I get, verbatim "Could Not Complete the Browse In Bridge command because Photoshop was unable to find the Javascript plug-in"
This error doesn't happen with the 64Bit version, nor does it happen in CS5 64 or 32bit, and not in CC 32bit (downloaded the trial to test to see if it was a 32bit compatbility problem) and none of these cough up this error.
I haven't copied or deleted any parts of Adobe or any files in any of the program directories.It happens in Photosho I try to Browse in Bridge from Photoshop, not if Bridge is already open.
And yes, I know Extension Manager CS6 no longer supports Bridge, but I wasn't using it. This error just started yesterday. Been using the 32bit version of CS6 for certain plugins for over a year. Again, haven't deleted or added anything.
