I created a 320 X 480 image and inside this image I am including the slices of 8 different images (320 x 50) - now how do I align them so that they are all nicely aligned.

I need to crop-remove slices of lots of of images, so preferably in one single step. Here is a more detailed description: [URL] Since this post is about two years old, I wonder whether this is still unsupported by Gimp.
View 2 Replies View RelatedUsing guides, I can create slices of multiple rectangles intersecting each other. For a web, I may have one picture on the top and multiple items below. If I use guides, the top picture gets cut into multiple pieces. Is there a way to merge them back into one piece? I probably can create a new guide on with only the top, but it's an extra step and the HTMLs from 2 attempts are not compatible with each other.

the * are little blue dots centered horiz and vert.Everybody is on their own layer.I am trying to get everyone equidistant, the words aligned bottom and the dots aligne center vertical.
I select the align tool, then click on word. Next holding shift I drag everything else and it is all selected. K. I have trimmed all the layers so all that is there are the things I want to align.
I have tried clicking everything in the options box and the closest I get is with distribute horizontal centers with offset but that leaves me with odd spacing.. if I simply select the text it is better, but the spacing is still not right..
I have city maps from various sources with color-coded information. I'd like to align these maps on top of each other (as layers) as automatically as possible. The maps might have different scales and may vary in details. I'm hoping that some "edge extraction" and "overlap matching" can automate this task.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI notice that in every magazine each line of an article has exactly the same length as the the others despite the fact that there is a different number of words in each line. Moreover, spaces between words change from line to line, according to the amount of words in each one, and as a result every single line has the same length as the ones above and beneath it.In GIMP, when you use textedit (ie this ) you cant do what i mentioned above. Every line ends up in different lenght as each word that does not "fit in the box" goes to the line beneath it thus making a text look kinda ugly.
My question is, is there a way to align all the lines in order to make them have the same length? (just like a magazine would look)
I am trying to re size my text layer so that the borders would align with the edges of the text, but every time I adjust the upper part of the layer the text itself would shift downward, cutting off the lower part of the text. Is there a way I can conveniently adjust the layer so that it looks like the text fits the layer.
Example I am trying to achieve is something like this.
The problem I keep getting is this.
How do I align models to an image on the scene? I have a scene with an image of a city in the background (which will also appear on the render) and I am trying to align some models to the buildings on the image. These buildings will be used as a target for attacks.
Steps I have tried so far:
1. I thought of doing everything in the 3ds max's front viewport with the image perfectly aligned to the viewport and then aligning the models to the buildings on the image. The problem here is that I have a space ship entering the scene after a few frames and I see that some sides of the space ship are not visible on the render cause the render is from the front viewport.
2. Secondly I thought of putting the image as a viewport background using ALT + B and then aligning the objects, but this step is very tedious as I move or pan around the scene then the whole alignment is lost.
3. Finally I tried creating a static camera with the image being the main focus covering the entire viewport and then aligning objects. In this way I don't have much play area to send in the fighters that comes down from the space ship to attack the city as the camera is very close to the image.
Trying to master Pflow systems & FumeFX with this project. I really wanted to do this.

Occasionally paragraph allignment works opposite for left & right align, usually on Illustrator documents with Russian type.
In additon on center align text I set my cursor to input a period at the end of a sentence, and the period instead gets added to the beginning.
In character palette language is set to English USA, this is point text.
I created a new point text and this is happening, if I paste text from another document alignment works fine, font is Arial black but happens with all fonts.
How do I align/rotate a still image on the overlay track using Corel Pro x2. and is it possible to place text on the still image?

I am trying to align my model to my image plane. I marquee select the vertices but only the one in the front selects I have checked Back face culling and soft selections and made sure that they are not on but it is still not working.

When I resize image, I press shift & alt button. And all image were outline stroked.
Using Anim8er to make a movie sequence of someone walking. Export images as BMP images.
Select the walking guy and delete the back ground. Found that the walking dude is a little high in the picture. ( I want it 8 pixels from the bottom, not the 16 pixels it currently is.)
I will be cropping each picture. is there a way of selecting the exact same crop area over 200 pictures? In the mean time I will change the camera angle to compensate the height.
Is there a way of using a plug in such as the ALIGN plugin to position the image to a particular point?
I have modeled a building that's a typical shoe box (rectangular shape building).
When I searched the address in Google earth, the true north of the site is not perpendicular to the building: it's angled.
When I chose "Acquire from Google earth" at the Site level, it gave me exactly what I saw in Google earth.
My question is:
I have finished the model of the building in Revit which doesn't align with what I acquired from Google earth. How do you align the model to the Google earth image? Do you have to literally rotate the entire building to align the Google earth image?
Also is there a difference between Google earth and Google earth pro for this task?
Why can't I align a single layer that is inside a layer group? The align tool would always select the top most layer group as the 'boundary' for alignment, thus automatically selecting the whole layers inside of it and align them as a group.
Is this a bug or just GIMP's weakness? It definitely reduces the layer group's usefulness.
is there any possibility in GIMP to align a text not vertically at the bottom of a text box (there are options for left, right, center and fill but that's only the horizontal alignment). The motivation is, that I change a text in an image quite often and it whould "align itself" if it whould always be aligned at the bottom of the textbox.

When I select slices and save them for the web, the webpage looks wrong when I open it in Dreamweaver. The text and/or images are basically cut off. I've tried moving different slices forward or backwards, but it hasn't helped.
I'm using Photoshop CS2 and Dreamweaver 8.
I did my layout with PS, make slices with ImageReady or Fireworks. Putting it all together in Dreamweaver is the problem. Making the second page, and so on is the problem. Becouse if I just import Fireworks Html there is no room for text or somethling elese if you unerstand me.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi have just sliced black box with rounded corners, hence i slice the four corners and used css to change the background color of the rest of the box - so as not to export square items (as css can do this with changing the color only).
The reason i am asking is that we are now in age of DSL and high speed internet so maybe i should have sliced the whole image rather than the four corners?
This is where i get a little confused, of course the way i do it works but is it correct?
I have also noticed some sites are using a "LARGE" background image in there CSS which contains content holders (with square corners) etc... which i think is great, but does the file size / speed suffer

1) I'd like to center certain compotents of my image into sections of the frame. I'm trying to go about this by creating my sections with the slice tool. Then, for any objects within that slice, I select it, but then I'm at a loss. How do I center the objects within my selection, and for that matter, how to I tell it that I want it to be centered in the sliced section only?
2) I'm trying to draw simple lines with the Line Tool, but I get this huge arrow instead of a line. I don't want an arrow, and I only want it to be 1 pixel thick. How can I do this?
