I'am trying to get a parallax type scroll to work.
I have my browser small enough so scroll bars are displayed. I have set the stage's overflow to "scroll". In the Stage "scroll" action I have the following: console.log("scrolled");
But it never fires when I scroll.
I've added a similar "click" action to a rectangle on the stage and that works.
I have a button which has a mousover/mousout animation. When i click the button, it will shrink down to 0%. when it does, my mousout event is triggert, which i dont want.
how can i disable the mousout event after the click event?
I'm trying to create a handler for the OnDocumentChange Application event.

My OnSaveDocument handler works just fine but the OnDocumentChange will not fire. I've been using the even watcher and have been using other handlers but cannot seem to get this one to work.
note that the command "create simplified part" is not firing onpopulatefilemetadata event.
I would expect it to.
When I try to add a click event on a symbol, I can't access to the symbol, only to the parent. For example, if on the event click on a specific symbol A I add the code
var symbolElement = sym.getSymbolElement();
symbolElement.hide();
It will hide the parent of A, instead of hiding A. How do I access to A?
I have a button on the main stage with a hit event inside of it. This hit area calls frame lables on other symbols (these "other symbols" are also on the main stage, not dynamic) . How do I make the click event of the hit area null if one of these symbols is/are visible? I added another button to set the visibility to false but then I also need the click event to reset itself to it's original state
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a task to control sym timeline with a browser scrolled. If my animation "enclosed" and I use "overflow: scroll" it works - the Stage.scroll works. But I need to to have my animation not enclosed and with overflow:hidden, this means that my Stage don't have own scrolled bar and my browser scroller is not trigger this action.
I think that usage of JS API can solve my task - window.onScroll starts the calculation function and move results "inside" my animation as sym.stop(xx).
I want to divide the stage to 4-5 sections vertically or horizontally and by pressing buttons to navigate/scrolling the stage in these sections.

On the stage I have a button and a hidden symbol. The symbol has an animation within itself.When I click the button, the symbol becomes visible and plays the animation. Its all good so far.I want to be able to click the now visible symbol, the animation within itself plays in reverse and then it hides itself. How do I make it hide itself after the animation plays in reverse?

i have a problem with an animation in Edge Animate. I try to animate a button which spins 45° on mouse over and back on mouse out. So far no problem. Now i want the button to spin 90° when i click on it and let it stay on this position. I made it spin the 90° but it always spins back on mouse out because the event is still there. Is there any possibility to delet the mouse out event or pause it after clicking on the button. I already tried remove it but without any sucess.

I just moved on to edge animate from html, and html was also beirf learn for me and mostly i was doing design work, and i thought getting out of graphic river and moving on the theme forest.

I'd like to animate snow falling. I assume Edge would be able to do this. Will it be possible to add it as a background? Or would it just be easier to add the effect to the top graphic portion of my page? I've used Edge back when it first came out. But havent' touched it in a while. I'm now working "in the Cloud". and I do use Dreamweaver.

I would like the link to be initally blank, but after hovering hover the link, a colored rectangle of sorts slides in from left to right, essentially creating a new background color. When the cursor moves off of the link, the colored rectangle in the background would slide back to the left, disappearing.
After some thought, initially it sounds like an animation of clipping masks. Not sure if this is possible in Edge, or if I am on the right track.

I have an existing HTML page (created in Adobe Muse) and I am trying to draw some Adobe Edge objects on top of the page (e.g. a rectangle or an image). When I look in the layers panel, the Edge objects show as top in the list. However, visually when I look at the page, the elements show behind the pre-existing HTML page from Muse.

I've placed the OAM file of my Edge animation and gone through the steps of creating a "folio", but when I preview in Adobe Content Viewer all I get is a static page that fades out when clicked.

I am trying to use Edge to build animations that can then be integrated into larger non-Edge projects. I would like to then be able to control the Edge timeline or Edge symbols from elements OUTSIDE of Edge, such as another link or button in the page.
I cannot seem to figure out how to properly reference the Edge stage or symbols.
I have come across several proposed solutions for referencing Edge stage, such as:
