Is it possible to change a color in a full color pattern without having to create a fresh fill?
I would like to change the pink background in the file attached to green but my guess is I will have to create a new pattern fill with a green background.
I added a patten fill to my libray, saved my default setting so it would stay, now everytime I draw an object it is automatically filled with that pattern fill...I even deleted the pattern fill from the library, saved default settings again, restarted corel, and it still fills an object.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIm working on this tut from grey cobra. It shows you how to get that worn out look.
At one stage you're told to duplicate the background, go to its blending options, choose pattern overlay, chose crepe paper and use overlay as the blending mode.
This is supposed to create a subtle noise effect on the appearance of the background. The screen shots in the tut show this.
When i do it i cant see any change after the effect has been applied to the layer. Ive got 100% apacity and all that. Could anyone suggest a reason why it wont work?
i how to make these overlay twirl pattern things, etc on top of these pictures?
i would ask the graphic makers themselves but they don't like to share any secrets. i tried experimenting myself but i can't figure it out.
Where can I find the default full-color pattern fills in CDX6? I don't see a folder for Patterns in the Corel file in programs. I see a Patterns folder in CDX5 but it doesn't have the default pattern I need. I need to change the color. I noticed that custom made patterns go into My Documents/Core/Vector Patterns.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen you use the Text Tool a text is added inside a frame. The frame is not visible when printing, it is only for internal use I guess. Can I add a color to it so that the text gets a background? I don't mean to color the actual text, I just need to add color to the background of it.
If it is not possible, what would be the best way to achive what I want: a text inside a shape of a certain color?

View 11 Replies View RelatedAny alternative way to increment an objects specific R, G or B color value? What I am trying to accomplish is to take a group of objects and increment the red, green or blue value by 5 without effecting the other values.
This has to be an increment on all existing values of each individual object. So if 3 objects have 3 different RGB's but I want to increase the RED on all of them by 5.
EXAMPLE
Object 1 : R-35 G-35 B-35
Changed to R-40 G-35 B-35
Object 2 : R-55 G-100 B-150
Changed to R-60 G-100 B-150
ETC....
I know this sounds specific but I am trying to create an RGB table the easiest way possible. In this example I`m referring to RGB but it could be for CMYK as well.
If there is a way to make Outline Same as Fill - is there a way to Transfer color values from object to another?
Select object you want to change THEN select object with color you want - hit button and it transfers?
I have a curve fill with K100 and 50% transparency placed on top of a solid color background. [TOP]But when I turn the proof color on, or export as CMYK JPEG, or PDF, the result is as below. [BOTTOM]
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been using an older version of Corel Draw and Photopaint for years on end (Version 10 on win XP). A recent hard drive crash has moved me to the latest version of CDR/PP (X6)in Windows 7/64.
I'm amazed to see that Photo Paint hasn't changed dramatically over the last decade - most of the tools and options are where I am used to finding them. However, one function of the latest build of PP.
I do a fair amount of video editing and I use PP to create .tga files with transparency for the timelines. In version 10 of PP, I would create an object, say a red arrow for example, >mask create from object>image / paper size / background color to red> save as .tga. The background color would appear as red and would become transparent when I changed the image properties in the video timeline to "straight unmatted." Having control of the background color is important for good transparencies in video as any fringes will blend with the objects. The issue i'm having with X6 is that no matter what I do, the background color saves as white, which causes a halo when transparency is applied in the video timeline. How to change the background color when saving a .tga?

I think I need to change the cdrTextPropertyFill using cdrTextPropertySet. If you look at the Property Manager Window with Artistic Text selected go to the 5th tab (format). On the bottom is background color: with two drp downs. One for textbox background and one for character background.
I would like to be able to change these settings in a macro. I think this line is finding the text on the graphic, now I need to change the background.
