CorelDRAW X6 :: Conical Gradient Export To PDF And AI

Nov 17, 2013

conical.cdr

Is there any way for me to export my conical gradient created in X6 to PDF and Illustrator without it being distorted? I would like it to look clean and smooth as it looks in Corel.

I am uploading my CDR file the way I would like it to remain. I have also uploaded the output I keep getting when I export it to PDF.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: How To Use Radial Or Conical Transparency Tools

Jun 13, 2011

I have about 8 squiggles that are quite wide.  I use the transparency tool in radial or conical mode... the center position matters, but it seems like essentially the same transparent effect stays regardless of the distance of the radius laid down by the tool. the little slider bar seems to do something, but I'm trying to get the transparency to go out more... but the radius doesn't change the transparency effect.

This seems like a bug.  Why wouldn't the distance from the center to the edge matter?... the distance matters when it's working in linear transparency mode.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Box With Conical Fountain Fill / Background Uprising On CTP Output?

Jul 4, 2011

In one of my print job there is a Box with Fountain fill from blue to gray colour in conical form and also have a power clip contents.

In the first lot we had got no problem in getting correct image reproduction as per our original file thought an EPS.

But later on in second lot after some amendments to this drawing file which later exported to an EPS for CtP service bureau we had got problem in vignette / conical fountain production in grays at its peak tone. There is one conical fountain step is missing leaving the background in up front. It ruined up the whole 2nd print lot.  The CtP provider didn't responded properly in this regard.

As we are assured of our testing through importing the EPS to CorelDraw, we changed the CtP service provider in the next lot to avoid any unknown RIP issues. But through CtP plates we have faced the similar problem as seen in the second lot and the job has also been printed which means we have got ruined the 3rd lot completely.

We have also supplied the JPG image preview file to facilitate the CtP service bureau, along with the EPS.  They replied the problem is neither easily visible on the RIP preview nor the EPS file shown any issues.

Illustrator :: Created Logo With Gradient Object - Transparency Becomes White On Export

Aug 21, 2013

I created logo with a gradient object. The gradient is with a single color and transparency.

I can not export the logo, ( Ai, eps or pdf) in InDesign and keep the transparency of the gradient. Transparency becomes white. For the pdf, not only I do not have the transparency of the gradient, but I also have a block of white around my logo.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Export To Webpage Directly Since HTML Export Doesn't Work?

May 17, 2013

Will Corel6 (or later) ever be able to export to a web page directly since the HTLM export doesn't work (drops links). The Corel Web program, or what ever its name is, was a joke. Its amazing that Corel work puts its name on a program that you could not open a CorelDraw file.

My current work around is  to export to a JPG and then import that into dreamweaver and add the links there, then post. A pain but it works.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Extrude To Conical Parts

Nov 11, 2013

I am creating a fan wheel (see attached). The fan blade needs to be extruded to the inside surface of a 2 piece cone assembly. To make it even more difficult, the inner portion of the blade needs to be cut at an angle so that the extrusion ends at the cones. See attached pdf reference sketch. The result for the flat pattern blade edge should be two parabolic curves.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Emboss On Non-Round / Conical Faces

Nov 20, 2013

I've attached the file (Inventor 2013).  The sketch shown is a raised lip I'd like to have around a future opening.  I actually want that sketch to wrap all the way around the body, but taper down to 0 in the rear as there are to be hinge plates.  This is going to be a grill/smoker and there needs to be a 3/8" raised lip at the future seam of the top and bottom.  Shown in the model is just the top portion.

CorelDRAW X6 :: 3 Colour Gradient

Jun 15, 2013

When browsing Flip board earlier I came across this article: [URL].......

I tried to replicate the background shown in this screenshot in CorelDRAW X6, but had trouble making the gradient, with orange on top then both green and blue beneath. While I can make the gradient use three colors, they are in a line, unlike the screenshot where they are next the each other both horizontally and vertically.

AutoCad :: Conical Roof - Helical Radius Along Face Of Cone

Nov 11, 2011

I have started a project and have a somewhat unusual condition. I have a structure with a Conical Roof. We are putting a parapet around this roof. With the parapet, we are also going to create 4 individual structures that direct water/rain flow to scuppers that will be fabricated into the parapet. Below is a sketch of our condition. How to get the shape of a line that follows the face of a cone. Obviously, this line is not projected to the center of the cone, so it is not just a straight line. I am imagining either a radial cut piece, or a complex/multiple radial cut piece. I don't really know how to put it into words exactly.... Take a look at the sketch.

How do I project my profile onto the conical surface or How do I make the profile plane tangential to the conical surface?

CorelDRAW X5 :: Gradient Fill - Gray To White

Apr 25, 2012

Let's say I have a square with a gradient fill of 30% gray to white.  I have a background that I have imported to make the paper look old and weathered.  If I place this background behind the gradient filled square, the square looks grayish and will print this way.  Instead what I want is for the gradient filled square to show the color of the background rather than gray.

If I print the old and weathered background first and then run the paper through the printer again with the gradient filled square, it has the effect I want.  Is there a way to do get this effect without having to print the background first and then print it again?

AutoCAD Inventor :: Emboss Command - Only Planar / Cylindrical Or Conical Faces Supported

In Solidworks I can emboss a sketch into a 'wavy' surface without difficulty.

If I try to do the same thing with Inventors 'Emboss' command It fails with "Only planar, cylindrical or conical faces are supported."

Surely there must be a way to achieve the same effect as in the first illustration, in Inventor ? Am I missing something obvious?

AutoCAD Inventor :: How To Build Assembly With Conical Rollers Rolling On Cylindrical Support

Feb 26, 2013

I'm trying to build an assembly with conical rollers rolling on a cylindrical support.  Refer to the attached sketch.  I'd like to be able to constrain the conical faces of the roller to the cylindrical surface of the support.  It doesn't seem to be possible to do that in Inventor; or, more accurately, it's not possible to put a tangential constraint on both conical faces at the same time.  The first tangential constraint causes the part to place a generatrix line parallel to the axis of the cylinder.  (I had to look up what generatrix means, too.)  So it's not possible to make the second tangential constraint.

How I can do this?  Just in case that's not difficult enough, the reason I'm doing this is because, ultimately, the support will not be a plain cylinder but actually a tube that also curves.  It's the behaviour of the roller through various curves on the support tube that I ultimately want to model, but I have no hope of doing that if I can't even get the roller constrained onto a plain cylinder.

My boss has purchased RIP software which I have a vague knowledge of using, however, I have no clue how to actually create the design that would need a halftone print and therefore, have never used the expensive RIP software to print with.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Gradient Messed Up On Mirrored Side

Jun 4, 2013

what I do is design one half of my design first.  When I like what I have I duplicate that part of the design and then mirror it horizontally. I then save the file. Close out of the program. Turn it back on the next day, and some of my gradients are now messed up on the side that was mirrored.

As you can see the left snippet is how it should look, the right mirrored snippet's gradients should match but the don't.  Some of the gradient. (not all of them though). It's really bizarre. It doesn't happen often, the only times I can remember it happening is when working on really large complex designs. Oh also, it is effecting gradient fills and transparency linear gradients.
