View 2 RepliesI've lost all of my 3D functionality as Photoshop CC is now only recognising my intel graphics card, not my nVidia GT540M. It was working perfectly last night, but mid video render it stopped. I have had both a nVidia and photoshop update around the same time. If it's a software issue due to the updates, is there are workaround until there's a patch?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble doing this in my current software, Serif Drawplus, PSE, Photoplus, (I have Gimp but haven't used it ever yet). And I am considering buying X6 for use in other projects. So, can x6 do this in either Photo Paint with a bitmap, or in X6 with a group of Vectors?
I want to wrap a bottle with a logo. The mesh warps aren't working for me in the above applications, and envelope warping will not work either. Transform-Warp is not present in PSE. I mention that because I see a tutorial for PS using that. How would Corel X6 Suite do this? I am considering buying the software once some questions I have about it are cleared up. I wish Corel would make the manual and tutorial videos public. I'd rather download the trial for actually using it rather than trying to see if some feature is present, or a workaround for a feature a competitor has.
I am also hoping to make in this project, some 10-20 different bottles with the logo on, of different sized bottles and different rotations of the bottles. Plan D is acquainting myself with Blender, but lets hope I don't have to go that far!
I have an illustrator file made by someone else. They made swatches for different background colors. I want to get the Hex values for these colors so I can replicate them in a web page. I just can't seem to do it. I'm getting
The layout of the file is essentially a bunch of little boxes (it's a periodic table). I click on the swatch panel and it tells me something like "unamed Swatch 3" but I can't seem to get how to find out exactly what values those colors contain.
I'm using Illustrator CC and am new to Illustrator altogether.
Is there a way to select a portion of an image and display the average RGB or Lab values of that area? Right now I can only see the values of selected individual pixels. Instead of manually adding up these values to get the average value which is quite tedious, can someone help me to a better option?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently installed Paint.net (love it!) and was messing around with effects and colors when I stumbled upon this one adjustment/edit . That allowed you to select several colors and make a a threshold and other cool effects with only the colors you selected previously. I thought it was really cool, but I didn't save the photo.

View 7 Replies View RelatedIn X6 it appears the option that X4 had (is not available) was I could right click the arrow at the top of one of my Palettes and go down to (Palette) and then there, their was an option for find color. X6 doesn't have that. Also the eye dropper is shaded so I can not use it.
View 4 Replies View Relatedhow to or where to find the adjustment settings in CorelDRAW X6 to set the sensitivity for selection?
I want the sensitivity for the Cursor to be higher to "easily" select objects. Currently, X6 appears to mimic Adobe Illustrator, which is not good.
So we have three computers hooked up here, all running off a main terabyte drive where all the fonts are stored. Bitstream, X3, and X5 are on all the computers. Bitstream works on 2 out of the 3, but on this one when I go to the drop down list in the Font Navigator I only get the option for the Local C and DVD drive. I can log on to the "Network" version of the terabyte drive, but once I get in it asks me for a password when the drive has not set up to be password protected. I have installed service pack 1 and 2 for X3 + the Bitstream patch. I'm running Windows 7.

I'm trawling through the content folder and it takes me about half an hour to find the vehicle I'm after. I have tried using connect but with no success.
I found a lot of tutorials about sketching in "The Lion King" style, but not about the colours. Now I'm working at it, so I'm looking for advices or links.
I want to ask you, how to create a picture in "The Lion King" style (when I just have a contour ofc).
I'm asking about how to get that type of lines, blending etc., for best in the Photoshop, but it can be also in an other program.
I just built a new workstation PC, but since the motherboard has built in DVI, HDMI and Displayport outputs, I decided to wait with buying a dedicated GPU. The motherboard will use the intergrated graphics in the CPU instead. I will at some point buy a GPU, but mainly because I also play games on occasion.
However, now when I look at my images, they don't look as good as on my old computer with a dedicated GPU. This is true especially in the shadows where it seems the bit depth is very low. I was under the impression that a dedicated GPU won't have any impact on image quality other than for 3D rendering, games etc. Do I need set the bit depth somewhere? Maybe it's a driver thing?
My new system specs are as follows:
Intel i7-4770K
Asus Z87-Pro motherboard
32GB RAM
500GB WD Velociraptor
WIndows 8.1
I am looking for a (preferably free) Auto Dimension Macro for X6.

View 13 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to determine how much a piece of artistic text has been changed in it's X-Scale? If I insert some text into my drawing using the Text tool, then grab the left handle and drag it in, I see the X-Scale: in the status bar go from 100% to whatever I drop it at. But if I go back to that piece of text, or select another piece that was compressed or expanded, and try the same trick, the scale factor resets back to 100%.
How can I determine the amount of change from the initial font the text has changed after the fact? None of the property boxes show you this information.

View 9 Replies View RelatedQuestion: How do I join triangles and squares so that they are symmetrical?
I have a customer for whom I am designing a business card. I am having to reset the business card from a scanned image.
The business card has got angles and triangles on it. Some of the angles have fills. Others do not.
I can use the Shape tool and trace the scanned image of my customer's business card. However, some of the angles are mirrored on either end of the business card. If I trace the scanned image it would be hard to get the angles right.
Basically, how, to work with triangles? I need to join triangles together at angles and so forth so that the business card looks symmetrical.
is it possible to move or download pictures from a computer to a SD card
in a few words reversing the operation
I have a document i am designing that has a front and a back to it, its not a business card.
How do i align/position the two sides so i get specific elements where i want them on the back side,
the problem is not with the front and i only need to position the back and specifically, i have checked out the print preview imposition tool and only seems to just print duplicate copies however many times need, unless i used it incorrectly,
I mean i could manually try to set them up and waste a lot of ink and paper positioning the two sides but i believe there is a faster/smarter method to accomplish this.

Is there a way to apply a color to selected objects without having to search for the color in the color palette. So say if I am working with an image that has multiple colors but want to use only one of the colors in that image, is there a way to apply it without having to create or add it to the palette.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI create a fill adjustment layer. I create a vector shape and apply it as a mask.I have the mask selected, now I draw more on that layer and it continues to draw.
What actually happens:
create fill adjustment layer - Hey, starting off strong create a vectore shape and apply it as a mask under Layer>vectore mask>current path - different icon, but it seems correct..I select the path under the Paths tab, since the vector mask doesn't show u next to the layer icon, and attempt to draw more shapes -here's where it goes wrong. Instead of drawing on the path layer I have selected a work path layer is created.
I can't actually figure out how to draw on the existing path. If you select the paths from the work path, you can copy and paste them into the actual color fill shape path layer. That works. Now try the same thing with a different layer. Oh....NOW it works. It actually seems to work with all the other adjustment layers. It just doesn't work with fill.
What I think is happening: Some smarty pants realized that there doesn't really have to be a difference between a shape layer and a fill with a vector mask on it. Yeah, that's true, but you're limiting me to 1 single object on that layer now.
I have drawn a colorful graphic with lots of little pieces, colors. Didn't name colors in it or built it with tints/shades of other colors. I want to make it grayscale now. What is fastest/most practical way to do that? Histogram works on bitmaps but I would like to retain vector format.
