When text is selected with the text tool it looks nice and sharp with good edges, but when I click off the text tool and just read text on the page it is all jaggy and fuzzy looking. Then I select with the text tool it looks sharp again. Makes the page layout look bad and ugly to look at. Wasn't this way in X3. Is this typical of X5 or is there a setting change needed? Doesn't matter what font I use.
What causes these jaggy lines to appear in my jpegs?I start the file as a CRT in AdobeRAW then open it up in Photoshop CS5.I change the image size to 2400 pixels wide then Save for Web & Devices. At some point the quality starts to degrade and I end up with
I've been working on a layout in photoshop and used the pen tool quite alot to make my shapes. But the problem is when I fill them they look all jagged (or something like that :/ ). I dont really know how to deal with this, but I just want them to look normal without that pixelate border
I've saved a high res psd (300dpi) as pdf. I flattened the image before PDFing and used a JPG compression of 10. If I open the pdf from a browser, the browser version of acrobat does strange things to the image. Looks great until you scroll, then the image and text become very edgy jaggy. BUT, if I open acrobat and open the pdf, it looks great. Has it something to do with the browser version of acrobat? Is there some PDF preference or option that I'm missing?
The file also prints very well.
Looks bad if opened from a browser, good if you save it to your desktop, open Acrobat Reader and open the file.
I made an image for the Ironshop comp. and I made it just a tiny bit too big. I figured out the hard way that you also get quality loss when you scale an image down. My specs are 4454px. x 3345px., 61" x 46", and 72 ppi. I understand that my image should be 800px. x 600px., and Ive tried to up the pixels per inch, but it ends up very pixelated and jaggy.
Left - Marquee Tool > Transform > Skew Middle - Liquify filter with "use graphic processors" selected Right - Liquify filter without (same result) Image above is at 200% zoom
All Transform tools cause jaggy edge. I've only tried these tools and Liquify for the last month and a half. Â Uninstalled, re-installed Windows, Photoshop, graphic card - Evga 560 ti - drivers (all versions). No prevail. Â CS5 works flawlessly on this system. These tools also work fine on my laptop which use Radeon HD3470.
I have a document in publisher 07 with a photo of a product in it made from Photoshop CS3 saved as a PNG24. No matter how close I zoom in Publisher everything looks fine. When I create a pdf in acrobat using standard or high quality setting there shows white jagged edges aroung the photo. I have tried saving in a multitude of ways but cannot get those stupid jaggy edges to go away. Is it Photoshop, Acrobat, Publisher?
I have a photo of a white bus, and I need to put a banner onto the side of the bus. The banner has a solid black rectangular background. After using the Vanishing Point filter to make the banner look like it has the same perspective as the bus, the edges of the banner are jaggy. If I use the Free Transform tool to manually distort the banner into the right perspective, the edges of the banner are smooth. Is there a way to smooth out or antialias the edges when using Vanishing Point?
I have designed a C#  application to To Print I Cards  Of School. Here I am sending data from my application to a CDR FILE (Already Created ) Which Contains ADDRESS Text Field..Now I Need to Print Address(which contains 60 characters or more) on this Text field .
I Have Used The following c# Code.. To Replace Address text field that contains text 'Address '.....

This Works Fine But How can i WRAP TEXT....of Address field.
My boss is using CorelDraw x5 on a Dell Studio lappy w/ win7 x64, his question is... If you accidentally stretch text and don't realize it till later is it given a value that can be compared to other text so you can conform it to the rest of the text? Is this a tool or what? The scenario is you accidentally stretch text minutely, save the file, copy and paste this text to another file with same format to realize later it has been manipulated and doesn't match.
I had several CorelDraw documents that crashes on me, and the auto-backup did not work.
In all these documents, if I open the text paragraph window and typed on it, the entire program will crash if I exit that window after finishing.
I discovered that if I typed directly on the text paragraph, it will not crash. That means do not open the text paragraph window to do editing. But this makes editing very slow since it seems to be more memory intensive.
Strange the auto-backup directory/folder always do not have my backup files too.
A client sent me their logo where the name is straight across. They would now like to wrap it around the circle in their logo... They do not know the name of the font, what the font couldn't id it, not much response on their forum...
Is there a way to fit text to path, where the text has already been converted to curves?
Is there a setting to change the text frame size when pasting a block of text?
For example if text is pasted into a blank page with the either the pick or text tool active the text frame on each page is 8.3"x10.8" on a 8.5"x11" page. the same on each succeeding page until the text is less than a full page.
I would like to set the text frame at 7.5"x10" for pasting in text  when the text will need unknown number of pages.
The problem just came today while i tried to copy/paste text from Ms Word. As I usually do it asks me about formatting options before pasting text but today its not working the way it should. It simply pastes plain text without all formatting I did to my document in Ms Word. I even tried to repair my software but nothing worked.
Is it possible to get paragraph text Headline (Title) & body text applied by style at one click without selecting each separately. If yes, how we can do? If not possible, will it be possible in update or next ver. 7

Is it possible to lock a text box to prevent it from moving but still be able to input & edit text?I want to make a drawing template in CorelDraw x6 using text boxes for "non Corel friendly" people to use but need the actual text boxes to stay in the same place all the time!?
how to curve text within a shape, as paragraph text, not artistic text? (See my attached image.)Â
I have drawn the shape, inserted the text as paragraph text, but the text always wants to sit straight. I am so frustrated as I can find a workaround in either Corel or Adobe CS products. I have tried using artistic text in Corel, but have to do it line by line - and this brings other problems, such as I cant justify each line with each other, and sometimes a character jumps up relative to the other characters and the entire paragraph does not taper in...so this is not a solution, apart from the fact it will take me FOREVER to insert line by line....I would like to treat the text as a multiple line paragraph, and follow the shape.Â
I am using Corel for driving a fiber laser through a dedicated Net connection not available to the rest of the network and it and my computer are right next to the switch.
My problem is that when I send a job from the PC to the laser it works fine. If I make a small change on the graphics, I save it and send a new job to the laser.  Quite often, some part of my grapics is left off the plot even though I didn't touch that graphic or mod it. So I send the job over again and now somewhere else is missing some of the graphic word...usually a word or a letter or number.  I usually turn off the computer or get out of Corel and come back in and it is fixed.  That doesn't sound like a network dropped or corrupted graphic. I have tried turning off the laser with Corel still up and it doesn't fix the problem when I bring the laser on line again.
In the last 2 days Corel has decided to start changing Artistic Text to Paragraph Text when I copy & paste it across documents, completely changing the font, size & colour of what I am copying.
I've just done a factory reset & it's still doing it. Â I don't recall doing anything that would change a setting.
The text I am copy & pasting are disclaimers that are all set on 1 document & I copy & paste them to a proof as needed.
how to sort (alphabetically, for instance) the Graphic and Text styles in the Graphic and Text Docker? I need the styles "Roads-county", "Roads-State" & "Roads-US" near each other and "apples" listed first.
I'm making tickets and i need to add tickets numbers, from 1 to 1000. Print & Merge doesn't fit for me.So I want to change text tag for example: "<text>" to text which will be different (1, 2 ,3 ,4 ,5 ,6 ,7 ...) Wagenaar where the code finds word "Andorra" and change it to "Andorre".
Public Function FindReplace(ByVal str As String, ByVal toFind As String, ByVal toReplace As String) As String   Dim i As Integer   For i = 1 To Len(str) If Mid(str, i, Len(toFind)) = toFind Then ' does the string match? FindReplace = FindReplace & toReplace ' add the new replacement to the final result   i = i + (Len(toFind) - 1) ' move to the character after the toFind Else  FindReplace = FindReplace & Mid(str, i, 1) ' add a character End If   Next iEnd Function. [code]...
I am having trouble resizing text boxes with text in them, so that the text scales with the box.If I convert the text box the curves, it messes up the formatting when I add an outline to the curve because the text box itself is given a outline.
Is there a way to automatically condense text in a one line text box, I have linked text boxes vertically and want to paste a list of names into them, and if a name is too long I want it to condense to the text box.
I know how to do this in print merge with the envelope tool but not in a text box.
If I click on any text the docker shows the incorrect height of the text. I have typed in an measured a 4" H and the docker display tell me its over 5.5".Â
When I copy properties from one paragraph frame to another, only font and its size is copied, not paragraph settings (spacing before/after paragraph, bullets, indentation etc.). Â I never had problems with this - it started a couple of days ago (the update??).
I work for a translation company and I've installed a Trial Copy of Corel Draw X5.
I have a 6-page document with several text areas (the Obect Manager sees them as Artistic Areas [I think]).
I'm trying to extract all the text into a text (prefferably an XML), file translate the text using Trados, then import the translated text file back into the Corel Draw Document, with the appropriate text in place of the original text.
I've tried using Extract / Merge text, but this doesn't seem to work.
