I get .ai files from customers that have drop shadows made with the "lens" effect. I want to convert them to a bitmap image with no lens effect, but if I get rid of the lens effect and then save as a bitmap image the color changes.
How can I convert objects, that have drop shadows as a "lens", to a bitmap image and have the color of the drop shadow stay the same as it was with the lens effect?
I was doing some "sphere-ology" and wanted to overlay a bitmap pattern. I tried to use a Fish Eye lens on a bitmap to give it some shape before applying it, but it does not seem to work. It will cut out the shape, but no distortion is applied.
I found this thread from a couple of years back on X5. There was no resolution.
Should this work on a bitmap?
I'm running X6, 64-bit on Win-7.
i have that issue i made one flyer w X4 where exist a bitmap that must be to the edge of cutted paper , so i made it bigger out of page, i close it to PDF for my printer adding a bleed limit, everything else out of page (inside the bleed ofc) appear BUT the bitmap (lens) stop to the edge of page.

I am able to upload the image into CorelDraw X5, but after that I am just guessing along as what to do and ultimately accomplishing nothing more than frustration.

Just wondering why it made those odd lines coming off of the words and the black bar (I don't know how the heck you guys can post large things, things with motion, etc. I have to make things miniature to put them on here)
I assume it has something to do with how the original, that came from MillerCoors, has those layers of lines in it. I just don't get why lines would then be visible when I changed it since nothing like that has happened before. Oh, and if you are wondering why I converted it, it's because I knew my rip server wouldn't like all that stuff going on in the original

View 8 Replies View RelatedWhenever I use the Trace option to convert, the result is an image filled with closed objects. Because I use vector images with a laser machine, and because the laser cuts everything it reads, the "double" lines (shared lines of the objects) get cut as many times as they appear. So I have to go in and break apart and delete segments & this goes on for days. I've tried welding, but welding makes one of the objects disappear completely. I've tried changing from cdr to svg, exporting & importing, hoping it would simplify, but that doesn't work either. Is there a way to have the bitmap converted to simple lines instead of overlapping objects?

I use Corel Draw X5 to do my pre-press work and some of the files I get have Lens effect objects. When I apply the "No Lens Effect" the object changes to a Symbol and it has no fill and no outline, how do I convert the Symbol object to a "regular" object?
I want to know the best way to convert these Lens and Symbol objects to regular objects that are "flattened" or do not have transparency. I need to be able to work with these objects like they are a regular vector object that can be edited for pre-press to make files to send to have films output.
OR, will an object that has a Lens effect output normally if I make a Postscript file fro the Lens effect object? Do I even need to convert the Lens effect in order to get the image to output correctly?
I got a new MAC OS X 10.6.2 last spring and installed the CorelDraw 11 that I've used for several years on my other MACS. When I try to use a bitmap effect from the drop down menu (like 3D effects, art strokes, creative, contour etc...) the boxes do not open. I've tried reinstalling the application and it didn't work. I was always able to use these effects on my other computers. Every other menu item I use works. I wish Corel would make something new for MACs

Publish to PDF outputs everything but the lens-ed bitmaps. I tried many different Publish to PDF Settings. Nothing works.
When I "convert to bitmap" each lens-ed bitmap, Publish to PDF outputs them fine.
For some reason, my X6 crashes whenever I attempt to export an image to JPEG. What settings (if any) need to be changed?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI am currently using this method, creating a 1-bit bitmap from a grayscale "distress" texture bitmap, choosing transparent fill or outline depending on which area i need trasparent and powerclip it in text or other vector object.
Is there a way to achieve the same distress effect with transparency with FILL ? pattern fill maybe? eg can i save in some format this bitmap to use it maybe as a pattern in pattern fill and retain transparency ?

LightRoom and Camera Raw have profiles for Lens Correction and all the current available lens are in the list for the Canon 6D raw files. BUT the Filter/Lens Correction when in Photoshop CS6 only have 2 Tamron lens listed. Odd that there are lens profiles for the Canon 6D raw files in Lightroom and Camera RAW but not CS6 Filter/Lens Correction.
Camera RAW, LR and PS are up to date..... NOTE: I have a Canon 7D, G11 and 1D Mark II N and all their files work as expected. It's only RAW files created by the Canon 6D.
I do not understand how to convert files so that my CNC program can use them. I am new to cnc machining and most of my files are in vector format and created using Corel Draw X3. I now have X6 but have not tried to convert them from there yet.
I understand that most cnc software programs want to see files in a DFX format. I tried saving to dxf from X3 but they are a mess when I open them in Desk CNC, my cnc software.
Since my files are already vector it would seem as though a cad program like Auto-cad would be able to open the files I save in a dxf format correctly. Something to do with the nodes, they are gaps between them so they are not connected.
I had recently downloaded CorelDraw 6 upgrading from CorelDraw3. I'm guessing that the CD6 automatically converted all my files that were CD3 to CD6...Any who...I decided that I like corel draw 3 better and redownloaded it. Now I can't open my CD3 files now..Even though my files says CD3 I still can't open them.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI created a drawing for a label in AutoCAD. The labels are made on an etching machine that we have and apparently the machine only accepts files in the BMP format. When I convert my drawing to a bitmap (export command), the images that I have in the label drawing (logos etc..) show up in the bitmap with borders around the images. I had set "imageframe" to 1 so I could select them when exporting the drawing. Another on of the images only has the border come in but nothing inside of the border?

Is there a way to correct the slight inverted pyramid effect caused by a 17-40 when taking interior room shots in Lightroom or do I have to go to PhotoShop to do this? I have found the lens profile correction but are there other tools in LR to use? What I am seeing is a slight outward shift from floor to ceiling on side walls and need to straighten these walls.
