I have a question about circles can you make a circle with a color in the middle fading out to transparent? so basically i want say a purple circle then towards the edges of the circle transparent.

I have never had this issue until CS6. I do have a Retina Macbook Pro too. Basically though, I'm building a website and need to fade out a texture to transparent. I usually do this and it works fine, but right now it is going almost straight to transparent it isn't a smooth gradual gradient.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI would like to add some black boarders to my fotos that fade to transparent. a little bit like this [URL]But with the difference that I dont need the boarders to be really really dark. they sould be more transparent where I can still see some of the details of the foto layer beneath. The idea is more to give my pictures some slightly darker boarders so that I can print them out and they look somehow similar when I put them on the wall...
So theoretically i thought of adding a new layer, make a rounded selection, invert the selection and use the blend tool from black to transparent (if this is somehow possible). But maybe there is an easier or better way or maybe there exist some additonal plugins where I can do some simple foto things like that with a already existing filter?
I am having a little trouble trying to add multiple fade to transparent gradients appear in a single image. Here are the steps I have done so far:
Create a new vector with the photo unlocked
Add a layer mask
use the black to white gradient, so the edge of the photo is completely translarent and as you move to the center, it slowly reveals the photo.
I used this technique I found online for one edge of the photo and it worked great, untill I tried the second gradient on the same photo, and the first one I did disappeared. I guess Photoshop only lets you have one.
The next thing I tried is to create another vector mask and create another gradient, but it did not work at all. Also, Photoshop only lets you have two vector masks per layer, so That wont do me much good if I need 4 gradients, each one fading to transparent around the 4 edges of the photo.
Any solution would be greatly appreciated. I plan to take the photo that has the fade to transparent gradients and copy it to another background image with some text.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIf this is possible to have a transparency brush in doing fades on curves. the brush would enable to lighten spot colors when brushed over the curve or curves. you could make a whole graphic fade out around the edges just by brushing over the edges.
You could have the capabilities to adjust the amount of the fade on a tool bar. maybe this is out there, but it would save a lot of time when doing graphics for t shirts and you want to fade the edges of the image on the shirt. you rip program would define the half tones by the transparency fade.
I have an eps file that fades in color when imported to Corel Draw X4. Could there be something missing in the Adobe Illustrator eps file that causes this or is it a problem with Corel?
I'm using Corel Draw X4 with the SmartDesigner X4 add-on package. Also, I recently added a sublimation printer to the mix. But, it doesn't seem to matter which printer I send the image to, the colors are faded in Corel draw even before I attempt to print.

Here is an image of what I need:
I am having the above laser cut out of acrylic. The laser needs to have everything that is black use a Fill and no Outline. The way it is in the file now, there is no Fill on the circle, but there is a black Outline. If I tell it to have a black Fill and no Outline (like the laser needs) I end up with a solid black circle which the laser will engrave as a solid circle instead of the "ring".
I want to split the circle into the seven parts that have same length. Could you teach me an easier way to do that? All I can do is only like this(I did it with my estimation)

When I draw a perfect circle with the tablet, I get an ellipse on the screen, but when if I draw a perfect circle with the circle tool, I get a perfect circle on screen.I hand draw the circle with a round frame, so I'M sure my "handmade" circle is perfect.

Im trying to weld text into the inside of a circle. I can weld the base lines of my text to the circle's edge but i can get the base line to follow the curve of the circle.

Basically, I have a few hundred photos (in RAW format) that I wish to mask then cut/paste on top on another layer in Draw; however, they are all circular and all would be the same size give or take a few hundreds of an inch. This is not a very easy thing to do by eye with the circle mask tool in PhotoPaint.
Perhaps there is another way to do without, masking from PhotoPaint, but I can't think of it.

I would like to add a white highlight to the eye of one of my images like the one in this image......so that it is white in the middle then gently fades to black without having a line around the edge. Been trying to do it but can't get the same effect.
