View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to apply a color to selected objects without having to search for the color in the color palette. So say if I am working with an image that has multiple colors but want to use only one of the colors in that image, is there a way to apply it without having to create or add it to the palette.

Even "edit palette" doesn't work. How to do that? In X4 is OK but in X5 I cannot do that.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy CMYK palette is the same hue as my RGB palette right now. I guess you know the difference. RGB looks bright and high in contrast like the ones used in Microsoft word. And the cmyk is, not the bright... Anyway, so the problem is...its the same color on my monitor. Its looks all RGB. On my other PC-2, its the other way around. My RGB palette looks like CMYK. Its not much of a problem with my PC-2 because i rarely use it for photo editing. Its just use for our cutting machine, the other one, my PC-1..
What's going on because it where i do most of my designs. And the color is a major factor there because most of our clients usually send their design to email and they have specific color. So, im having trouble doing designs. Is there a problem with my monitor? I tried editing my files on PC-2 but if i transfer it to PC-1 the color is different again... I cant get the exact (almost) color i want. The adobe gamma isn't do much either nor the monitor adjustment. Do i need to get a professional calibrator for all my PCs or are there downloadable calibrator on the internet? I was about to try the one about CorelDraw 12 Color Management guide but im still not sure about it. I have to read the infos first.
Here's from my PC-1. To the left is the CMYK and on the right is the RGB
Now here is from my PC-2. Left is CMYK and right is RGB.
When viewed from my PC-2..this one looks all CMYK (and dull)
Corel crashed once when i used shape tool once for a paragraph text and since then my color palette has gone horrible in its colors...even the guide's default color of Violet has changed to some dark blue...all the colors have gone horrible.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed X4 after using X3 for a number of years, and it was working fine until suddenly the color pallet has changed to harsh very bright almost unreal RGB-like colours. It is distorting all my work as I cannot see real colours, especially in Photopaint, so impossible to color edit.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSomething strange happened today when I was working on a cdr project. I think I have by mistake somehow managed to completely delete the original rgb palette, copied the cmyk palette and saved it as "rgb" palette. As a result if I try to change the color palette, the rgb and the cmyk options are exactly the same palettes.
This happened whilst I was working on a cdr drawing. Somehow I managed to press a wrong key combination whilst trying to save (probably CTRL-something and then CTRL-S immediately after) and noticed that the colors on my drawing changed. I tried to undo, but nothing happened.
After some checking I realized that the original rgb color palette has been replaced with a copy of cmyk. If I now try to switch color palettes, the cmyk and the rgb are exactly the same palettes regardless of which cdr project I open (new or saved).
This is how I tried to fix the issue:
I tried F8 during startup - no change
I tried with the repair option of the installation cd - no change
I tried a removal and a new installation of the Suite - no change.
Could be worth a try: Maybe someone could send me a copy of their rgbstd.cpl-file so that I could replace mine in the C:Program Files (x86)CorelCorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4LanguagesENProgramsData
How to restore the rgb color palette to it's original status as I work mainly with drawings displayed on the net, not on printed materials and I'm getting desperate as I have a deadline tomorrow.
The appearance is totally change what i mean is possibly the brightness. Every single color in the color palette change and become a shocking color. But when i print it, they got printed normally as usual. i can't see the true color i want to use in my design. They're all become a really shocking color and too bright than they supposed to be :[URL]

View 14 Replies View RelatedAfter a little while the color palette suddenly became glaringly fluorescent and no amount of rebooting could get my original color palette back. After that I opened the Palette Editor under Tools and fiddled around the Sort button settings there. This changed the order I was seeing the colors in my palette which stayed as fluorescent as ever and the original sequence would not come back no matter what I did. I read up a bit and played around with the Color Management settings-in vain. As a last resort I have uninstalled and installed the program again-to no avail! What should I do? I tried the F8 start as well-that didn't work either.

So that i can simply print it out to serve as a template design.

How to tweak this page bar scrolls to right side edge, so that space can be provided for the pages. I have moved to the extreme right, but after restarting it is occupying all the space. Put that one to extreme right or even by removing also no problem for me, since i use hand tool very effectively than this.
Even the vertical bar as well (to remove or hide at least)
what I do is design one half of my design first. When I like what I have I duplicate that part of the design and then mirror it horizontally. I then save the file. Close out of the program. Turn it back on the next day, and some of my gradients are now messed up on the side that was mirrored.
As you can see the left snippet is how it should look, the right mirrored snippet's gradients should match but the don't. Some of the gradient. (not all of them though). It's really bizarre. It doesn't happen often, the only times I can remember it happening is when working on really large complex designs. Oh also, it is effecting gradient fills and transparency linear gradients.
I recently started working with X5 and am having a few issues with the importing of palettes.I have created a couple of very large swatch palettes (about 1044 colors) in Photoshop CS4 and Illustrator CS4 that I would like to not have recreate in X5 (each swatch is custom named).
The photoshop swatch palette is saved as an .ACO file. I am able to open the .ACO palette in X5, however, the CMYK values do not match, and the custom name does not transfer.
-As an example, my custom black swatch in the .ACO file is called A1 and its CMYK value is 60, 49, 47, 100. However, when opened in X5 it is only identified by its CMYK value, which has changed to 29, 22, 29, 30 (which is more of a semi-dark grey than a black). In fact, all of the colors look as if they have been desaturated by 50-75% (that's a huge guesstimate on my part).
After struggling with my .ACO palette I thought I would try to import my .AI file.
X5 gives the option to open a palette that was created in Illustrator if the palette itself is saved as an .AI (which can be done directly from the swatch menu in AI. I have tried opening my .AI palette in X5- it allows me to chose the file, however, nothing happens.
In Photoshop 5.5 I hid the history panel on the right side of the screen. How do I get it back?
