Corel Website Creator X5 :: Why Are Some Properties Boxes Dithered
Jan 31, 2012
I've just loaded Corel Website Creator to a second pc -- a dell laptop. In page view, the Properties boxes are dithered -- see the screen cap below:
[URL]
I don't see this anywhere else in the program or any other programs. All other screens in Corel WSC look find. Can't find any 'options' setup that seem to control this.
I've been playing with the text styles and my text boxes are getting closer to the format that I want. There easy to read in the preview section. But the spaces between paragraphs looks to big, so I want to reduce it.
Corel Draw has a docker for paragraph formatting where we can place spaces above or below a paragraph.
I have recently purchased Website Creator X5 and am a little challenged on how to set a picture for a web page background. When I insert the image (jpg or gif) as the background, it only shows part of the image. I assume I need to reduce the resolution of the picture down quite a bit to have the complete picture used as the web page background. If that is correct. What resolution do I need to go to? If not correct. How do I make my web page background use the image I want?
I have been fumbling around for a long time now trying to create a simple search box for my website, but I can only seem to create a free google site search which won't even work as google thinks its a robotic search.
Is there a way to create a local site search engine using the tools provided in this program?
How can I set a link to another website in sub-directory ? For intense if my second website is inside a directory "/MyOtherWebsite" . Should I use external link? Link type <none>?
Recently purchased website creator X5 and am very happy with the functionality and available options however I can't get any of the items under the standard component menu to function - such as rotating picture, ad banner, news ticker, etc... If I try any of these options listed under this menu - I drag the box but no dialog box opens as illistrated in the manual (pg 628 for what i'm doing). I've tried utilizing the options on blank pages to make sure it isn't a formatting problem, even uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times. NONE of these options function? Is there a plug-in I need to utilize this?
I created my site with Website Creator X5, using a predefined style. Now I want to add a single page (e.g. 404.html). This page should have the same design and graphics, but it should not appear in any menu bar or site structure.
Having one heck of a time taking a Camtasia Video and putting it in a web page to automatically start when the page is loaded.
Camtasia can produce a wide variety of formats but which one works best with Corel?
I do have a sample that I finally got to work and it's at [URL] ..... but that was created with powerpoint and video recorded with Jing (produced by the same people that make Camtasia Studio, only free).
I tried to make a swf but the resulting file requires the preloader for an "index" page that is written in html by Camtasia.
I want to make changes to a jpeg. The image is already in my design. The menu offers the option to open the image in a external editor which at this time is Paint.I would like it to be Corel PhotoPaint.
I am creating a simple website using the software. I am facing a problem because the navigation bar on the "home" page always get aligned to the left whereas it is centered to the left for the other pages as it is supposed to be. I tried to change the style.
I am a nube at website creator and know only a little about html. I have been fumbling around for a long time now trying to create a simple search box for my website, but I can only seem to create a free google site search which won't even work as google thinks its a robotic search.
Is there a way to create a local site search engine?
I am finally getting used to the operation of CWC and find it usable, but one thing bothers me. The page layout only fills the center one-third of the screen.
I have been working on a fairly simple website for a few months now using Website Creator X6. Everything was working well every time I tested the site internally. Now all of a sudden, the program is telling me the NOD file is damaged and that it cannot be recovered. I then get a message directing me to read "recover.txt" in the Website Creator directory for "alternative" ways of recovering the data.
The problem is, "recover.txt" doesn't exist.
I have tried importing the internally published pages to recreate the site, but Creator tells me the pages are "too large."
It also appears that Creator stopped creating backups of the NOD file.
How am I to recover this data so I can publish the site online? How could the NOD file have become corrupted in the first place? (I frequently got messages that the file was corrupted when I loaded it, but Website Creator always recovered it.)
1) how do i create a download file handler to manage file downloads in a website? to be precise, lets say for instance i need to place file samples for my audience to download, how do i go about it?
2) how do i place a file upload handler in a website?
In CS2 imagemaker, when saving a gif file you have choices, what's the difference between dithered and not dithered? And when/where would you use these differing types of saved file.
When I start CorelDraw x6 there cames a message that I must log in for installing the WebsiteCreator. But when i do this I am logged in but nothing more.
I need to place HTML code so that I can get a blogtalkradio graphic link onto my website. Can't figure out how to place the code so it will display the graphic.
When exporting documents to PDF I have to fill in my company's name and address into CorelDRAW's PDF export Author field over and over and over and over again ...
I'm pretty sure that Author information is a more stable information than any other PDF parameter that's already being persisted by CorelDRAW.
save the Author field's information along with the other parameters so that it's getting recalled whenever the PDF export dialog pops up. The currently used Windows login name is not useful at all.

i change my screensetting from single laptop screen to extended screen (laptop+19") and back again on dayly basis.
the problem (which ONLY occours whit adobe products is that when changeing my screen to laptop only the property boxes used fx; on layer/layer style/"blending options" appear (well they don't) outside the main window even though i placed them im my main window before changeing the screen setting.(from extended to normal).
most windows can be moved the the arrows or move function in the bottom bar, but how can i MOVE the pop-up property window and place it in the main (well, only) window ?
looking for a keyboard comb. to move the active window og a function to place ALL windows i the main window...
i'm using PS 6.0
the "reset workspace" works fine on everything BUT the "Layer/layer style" -property boxes, and the whole prob. is that i only have 1 screen here at home.
im running AutoCAD 2010 as part of a Inventor Package and everything was working fine until i installed the Inventor 2011 ......(it was to try to sort something else out as the new features were introduced in 2011, but because of work policy were stuck using 2010......isn't work grand)
Ive uninstalled 2011 without anything going wrong with Inventor 2010 but its AutoCAD 2010 im having trouble with
If i create anything (could be a line or dimension) and then open the properties window or quick properties what used to be there isn't.....
- in the quick properties it says it cant define anything
- in the main properties window, instead of being able to alter the scale of the line / text & adjust lengths etc, the fields have been replaced, at the bottom of the fields are UCS co-ordinates initially i thought it was because installing 2011 has corrupted the files or done something weird and wonderful to them so ive tried:
-Repairing -Reinstalling - Without Uninstalling the original AutoCAD 2010 -Reinstalling - With Unistalling the original AutoCAD 2010
Im running a XP 64bit machine with the latest service pack
Ill get a screenshot to add tomorrow to make it clear what im on about.
Is there a way to have check boxes in the Project Properties to be able to turn on and off txt / stamps / etc. for all sheets in a project? I am looking for something that is similarly down in Revit Title Blocks?
