in the file browser (import) , the .psd file will have a 'multi' indicator, which i can double click to expand/collapse the layer. The problem the process is quite slow, and when i expand it , sometime double clicking is not working because i got slow response.
View 2 RepliesI m importing 400 jpg file(4k resolution) and it is quite slow when comes to bin. and when i tried to open that folder in bin and trying to select all of them and taking on timeline, it takes hell of time and sometime gets crash.
I m usining Mac pro latest machine with 32 gb RAM and usining quadro 4000 graphic card. While same thing we are doing on other mac machine which is 3 years old with FCP 7, does not have any issue at all

I go to mk, connect my clip to a gmask , double click gmask to focus to that module. I switch to 2 viewport. The left is the schematic, the right is the F1 (front). First when i click the F1 viewport, i got no 'add' button for adding gmask. So i have to first go to view pulldown, just do some unecessary click there to refresh. Now after refreshing, i can see my 'add' button is showed up. But the second problem is : i can't immediately press that 'add' button, there's a lag about 5- 7 seconds before i can click that button.
Also i can switch from mk schematic to f1 or f4 quite fast, but sometime go from any of front/back/matte view back to the mk schematic, it will take 4-7 second even for simple/basic mk network/tree.
The problem won't appear when using single viewport.
Just deleted PR4, and installed PR5.Opening an existing project takes an extremely long time (maybe 20-30 mins? guessing here)The Smoke loading screen shows something like "Connecting Control Surfaces"..

See attached. It now take 4 pen actions to get the safe titles overlay on and off. And before it was one pen movement. So before it was aptly named quick off. Now you should rename it. Slow off. Or "waste of time" something that matches function.
I vote for reinstating the quick off operation from 2012. And I checked, there is no quick off in the hotkey editor, so I can't streamline the usage with a user key.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am running Lightroom 4.1 RC on a 2010 iMac 27" with 2.93 core i7, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB Crucial M4 SSD drive (where the Lightroom catalog resides). When I scroll through images in Library, I can move through images very fast, however, when I try to do the same in the Develop module, it becomes really, really sluggish. Probably about 5 seconds between images. I have 1:1 previews generated.

Everything is working OK except the browsing/opening of files directly from the network drive, using both X4 amd X5 versions on windows XP and 7.
I´ve a problem when import all types of audio file, the application crash...but is curios that if I export the file that crash the application (in Lost and found) to the desktop and try import this audio there aren´t problem..import ok...and if this audio is edited with a image and import with import media tool (audio and video) import ok.
Another question about import / export...when a tried export a quick time in the column of status of background tasks appear the message that my "host" does not seem to exist, and not process the quicktime move.
I just installed the Smoke software and tried to open a new project as a test file, but after i made the file and made a user i clicked the "Start" button and it just says "Unable to load video device AJA_OE2K" and makes me quit out of the application.

I know how .fbx works.... You just go to Import in Action Node Bin and click on the .fbx but I'm clueless about this .dve file ...

I'm working on Smoke 2013 on LINUX. There are new Options to export a File with Audio. Where can I read what each option is doing, because we had some mistakes on some Files because of the Audio.
How I can check my export setting.

I have tried exporting a video several times now and it simply won't. The first time the export got interrupted, then after that it processed the audio mixdown but none of the frames. At first it made files in the specified location that just wouldn't play, but the last few times no file was created.

I would like to be able to set a specific folder that "Save As" opens. Often I am forced to continue to brows away from a folder that I do not want to save to and navigate back to the folder i need.

I am trying to export .MOV file for resolution 1280x1080 (HD) compression is DVCPRO (for broadcast) server is Harris. And i m making a project on the 1280x1080 8 bit, field 2, fps 25. and using the file which has size 1280x1080 at 50 P.
So when i export this as .MOV and choose compression DVC pro 1080. it gives me error message, "frame rate and bit dept is not same of the clip and compression u choose
Backburner doesn't seem to work properly for me in the release version. I cannot export file sequences as backburner sticks on waiting. I can however export Quicktimes fine.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a multi layer in my timeline , full graphic motion and long render. The base layer (layer 1) is a SOLID LAYER.
1. i select all that segment (multi layer) that has been rendered (yes, it's rendered). Now i drag it into my desktop (thumbnail view), but what happen is new clip is unrendered. So i have to re-render that clip. Why ?
2. i select all that layer, and collapse it ( contain selected). It collapse into a single clip but also i lost my render in my container. why ?
3. i mark in/out and create subclip. again i got the subclip but it's unrendered.
4. i mark in/out and drag into other timeline (same setting). and the pasted segment has no render file.
When I import an audio file into Smoke it ends up being longer, and plays slower than it does outside of Smoke.
The file is a stereo mp3, 16 bit, 44kHz
Its normal duration is 13:19
In Smoke it shows up as 13:30
I tried applying a Time Warp to speed it back up but I can't apply the speed change. It is reset back to 100% after trying to change it.
Even if I don't import the file, in the MediaHub, in preview mode it shows up with a duration of 13:30 and plays slowly.
The project has a 24P frame rate in case that has any influence.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have this HUGE maps I have to import to create pan and zooms. The file is a PNG with a resolution of 25000 x 16400px. Smoke doesn't play nice when I import this dil. It's all black and won't render. If there a max file resolution in Smoke? Or is it a problem with PNG files? (I tried with PSD adn it did the same).

Also, what's the best (fastest) way to export a single frame? The way I'm doing it now is that I'm copying a segment to the the desktop then going into tools then using the repeat function. is there a better way?
I am having trouble with my AutoCad Civil 2013. If I want to open or save an existing file the program only allows me to input the file name in the command line. It does not open a browsing window to select the file path I want to save or open to.

It won't even see anything below zero in order for me to make a correction on it, everything seems to be clamped on import. I'm using ProRes HQ footage.
